I'm not sure what you have playing on your headphones, but try taking one out, and putting a click track/metronome in the other. You have to be able to hear yourself a little, then try the the most simplest 4/4 beat very slow and build it up faster and faster bit by bit. Maybe you already know this, and I'm preaching to the choir.

Hello what version of Spain is this?

I once had a PDP Pacific FS Series with all sabian AA cymbals, the best kit ever had. I now have the centerstage and it sounds decent. I also put aluminum foil in the shells to change the tone a bit, the snare isn't that bad either, and they list the Centerstage as Hybrid Birch, which is maybe some kind of poplar, others just call it poplar. It could just be a sell gimmick catch phrase , since I don't know what they mean by hybrid on the shells. Funny thing is how many types of birch they apparently have out there.

I've watched a LOT of drum covers of Spain on CZcams and this is easily one of the top 3 I've ever seen - the control, technique, flow and overall groove is perfect. Mixed a little more, you could tell me this is the actual recorded drum part on this song and I'd believe you. Amazing job!
