@MJTiffPlumbing not trying to bait but doesn't sound like much difference. Ct1 products are great but the price difference isn't justified. It's all marketing. The ingredients are the same as lower priced competitors on most of their products.

Yep, this turns to a rubber type membrane when it’s gone off, so even if the walls move and the tiles crack it will stay sealed👌🏼

That would be revolutionary. I would have a tendency to still use a classi seal as we have always used them. Does the product state the amount of movement it will tolerate?

It is revolutionary….. honestly it’s a game changer… Will easily tolerate 10/20mm of movement

What…. 3 hours in total…. Pretty fast to me mate, a lot quicker than a few hours prepping the walls, few hours taping up then 3 hours applying 2 coats…. So basically halving the time…… 👍🏼

Hi mate, been watching your videos for a while. Used to work in this industry now done a complete U turn and work elsewhere but have a few years under my belt for plumbing and heating. Bought my first property 2 years ago, I reconfigured the downstairs bathroom to incorporate a shower and redone the bathroom upstairs. I used hardie backer on floor and walls, scrim tape and sealed joints. I then used the mapei shower proofing kit and taped the joints again and plastered two coats of the aqua proofing paint in the shower and bath area. Bit overkill but didnt fancy any leaks. Very similar to the stuff you’ve put on and I rate it. Funnily enough, when I used to do plumbing/heating when we did bathrooms never done any of the tanking unless it was a wetroom. Any bathroom I do in the future will always be tanked, its just not worth the risk. Great video as always 👍🏻

I don't fully understand. Apologies I focus more on the production quality than the work. Thumbnail. Giveways. Intro. Camera quality. Pop ups. End of vid. How quick scene changes. Sound quality. Editing.

I mean the video might not hit aswell for a few hours as the weather is good…. That’s the sort of thing you have to consider when putting a video out, it can be very seasonal

I’m a carpenter, and you’ve weakened those joists by doing that, I’ve never seen someone take so much out. If you’re going to be dismissive or sarcastic I’ll just leave, can never have a serious conversation on construction videos because people get offended too easy.

I’m not offended…. It seems you are by me replying!!!….. T’ing in a basin to a shower waste will cause it to “gurgle” when the basin is used and visa versa….. People on the internet think they can put a comment and don’t like it when someone goes against what they are saying. In 30years of doing bathrooms and trimming joists for pipework I’ve not had 1 single issue….

Notches can only be made in the top OR bottom of the joists, (not both) within the permitted area to a maximum of 35mm. Holes may only be made on the joist's centreline within the permitted area to a maximum diameter of 65mm. Additional holes must be at least three diameters (centre to centre) apart. Single/multiple timber structural beams, rafters, purlins and binders must never be notched or drilled without calculations to justify the remaining timber. Rafters may be birdsmouthed by no more than 1/3rd of the depth. This guidance does not apply to engineered joists e.g. JJI joists and reference should be made to specific product manufacturers instructions” chopping down 40-45mm for a shower waste pipe goes against building control mate, it’s that simple.
