I am just not into the EVs but i do not hate on those who love them. I have ICE 3 vehicles between my spouse and i that are paid off. No reason to create MORE DBT in this economy with buy $100k costing vehicles. Maybe if circumstances were diff, maybe not but i do like the PPF on the truck.

There is nothing misleading on his test. A frame should NEVER under ANY circumstances snap like that. The F150's frame wouldnt snap like that. A Silverados frame wouldnt snap like that. A RAM's frame wouldnt snap like that... BECAUSE THEY HAVE A STEEL FRAME. not a flimsy aluminium frame. Tesla NEEDS to add in a Steel frame, exceeding the weight even more, making it even more dangerous. This truck should NEVER have been put into production. Its too darn heavy for its own good. I would take a wager and say: The Hummer EV would have probably passed that test too.

the frame should not snap. on another truck it would be a bumper mounted to the frame and the bumper would bend and it could break off but the frame would be intact. I think the design issue with the cybertruck bumper is that it is part of the frame and sticking out to be bent up in a offroading scenario. there is a reason on other trucks the frame is tucked in under the car and the bumper that sticks up is just bolted on.

Note that the hitch was hit going over the logs as well. Watch the video to see that it becomes exposed and he sees the hitch. So it's hard to know the whole story. Multiple small impacts could crack a casting.
