Hi Naomí, thank you for sharing your video! Why don't you pull out the Juniper and transform it into a Bonsai??!! 🤔🤔
@@HenryGomez WOW. That is an interesting thought. However I will have to admit I do not have the skill set to pull that one off. 😂😂. Thanks so much for watching.
Very nice! I have become addicted to the black diamond crape myrtle myself!
@@rtra3863 Yes. They are beautiful. Thanks so much for watching 😄
That's beautiful! We have red, pink, and white blooming right now!
@@Allchiefedout03 I can only imagine how beautiful your garden looks with that color combination. Happy Gardening . 💞🌹🌹
Beautiful roses. I am looking for a hot pink rose that’s a climber. Can you tell me which rose that is? I know you are an expert when it comes to roses!!!
@@bluizes02 Hi.😊 I am by no means an expert I started gardening four years ago and am learning as I go😊. This is my second year adding climbing roses to the garden. I would recommend pink Eden. Although I have not grown this particular rose. It always stands out when I see it in other gardens. There are so many beautiful pink climbers out there so definitely dive on in and have fun choosing and growing your roses. 💞🌹🌹🌹 Thanks again for watching. Happy Gardening

Hi Naomi! Omg that Gertrude Jekyll, she was such a handful and those long octopus canes! Lol, I ended up digging her up and throwing her in a pot and put her away in the back. Every time I tried cutting her back and grow her as a shrub, yah, that didn't work. Got so sick of her, I want to give her away. I was really looking forward to her beautiful fragrant blooms but only had a few. The canes were long and unruly. Anybody want her is free to have her!😂😂😂
@@Sunshine-tf4ul Hi. 😊 Gertrude is really a vigorous rose. She did give us a great Spring Flush this year. And I am hoping that she will become a better bloomer as she has more time to get settled into the space. Like you I don't see myself being able to grow her as a climber . Heading back to the drawing board. 🤔 Wish me luck. 😂😂😂 Thanks again for watching and Happy Gardening ❤️😊

@@HolyTrinityDean Thank you so much. You are awesome ❤️🌹🌹🌹
Looking great! This was my first year ordering directly from David Austin. Not sure if it is normal, but I had quite a few "mistakes" too. I ordered 8 varieties in sets of 3, directly from them and 4 of those sets had mistakes. Darcey is Vanessa, 1 of the LoS is Carding Mill, etc. And I like the roses... but since they are in trios and color ordered, I'll have to replace in the Spring assuming they are available. Curious to see if they replace for free or give me any trouble.
@@robertk1726 Hi. David Austin has been pretty good at honoring their warranty. I must admit they have always been apologetic and usually replace the rose the following season. ❤️🌹🌹 Hope your roses are growing beautifully. As always thank you so much for watching. And happy Gardening. 😊😊

I just planted 3 of these. The color is amazing!!! I wish they would develop/breed them into a larger bush. 2-3 feet is not big enough for these beauties. If they could get these larger, they would be absolute show stoppers!!!

Naomi, I loved your video on hydrangeas. I have been trying to propagate hydrangeas this spring and summer. I have used so many different types of potting mediums and would put the cuttings in plastic cups, and then put them in a storage container for greenhouse effect, but they would always rot. After your video I will put in plastic cup but not into a plastic container and put under a low hanging tree and keep them watered to see if this will work. I’m in zone 8B.
@@billyjones9620 Hi Billy. Thank you so much for your kind comments. I am truly happy that you enjoyed the video. Here is hoping that your Hydrangea cuttings will root this time around. Do you buy David Austin bare root or pot rose for your garden?
@@kelmoran I prefer to purchase bare root roses simply because off the price. 👍 They usually establish just as quickly as the potted roses. 🌹🌹
@@naomisdreamgarden Thank you, bought two potted and one died. The other is growing but just so delicate, it is a yellow Ronald Dahl. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it will grow strong and I would like to plant it in the fall.
@@kelmoran Remember if you purchased from DA their roses are cover by 5 year warranty. So definitely get a replacement for the one that died. Looking forward to updates on how your garden is growing ❤️🌹🌹🌹🌿
@@naomisdreamgarden Will do, I’m a new gardener. I have 3 beds that will need to be filled that once had evergreens. The evergreens have died in 2 beds and the 3rd bed has a half dead evergreen. The 3rd bed with the evergreen is the biggest bed. I want to do something with David Austin roses, but I have an evergreen that needs pulling. I also worry about the soil. I have clay soil that may be depleted from the evergreens. Do you prepare your soil before you start a rose bed? I’m thinking I need to rejuvenate that soil after they pull this huge evergreen.
@@kelmoran I normally add amendments to the soil l. I like compost and well decomposed cow manure. You can actually add this to the beds now in preparation for planting in the fall , as you will be helping to build a great soil profile.
Good Morning, your hard work has so paid off ❤.
Do you buy the bare root or the potted rose? And how many of the same rose do you buy?

@@cathyhatfield5340 Hi Cathy. Thank you so much 😊. I was determined to get these roses planted no matter what. ❤️🌹🌹😊 Thank you so much for watching.
Hi Naomi I’m watching this and hoping you don’t seperate the rootball of that Munstead in July. I know experts have said they have no issue playing around with the rootball of potted roses, even spreading and separating the roots out in summer! (That was from a very much respected rosarian.) But I rarely have joy messing with the rootball of potted roses in summer. Even teasing I do not do. I see you’re aware of the risk now that’s cool. Ok sending positive energy and lots of love they take off, which they could well do. These roses never cease to amaze me. :) best of luck.
@@Jay_Jay Hi Jay. I know it's a bit risky but I could not help myself. I have always wanted to separate / divide a rose. My philosophy "The best way to learn is to do ". 😊 Will definitely let you know if they survive. ❤️🌹🌹🌹😊
@@naomisdreamgarden I’m the same Naomi sometimes you just got to find out :) I wasn’t sure if you were aware of the risk until later in the video, but you may well be perfectly fine. From what I’ve seen a roll of the dice but I know some experts really bash, grab and tease the soil off all there potted roses separating the roots out. And they say it’s fine.
I think a clematis would do great where your rose was. Sometimes a climbing rose will take longer to flower. My hydrangeas are just starting to bloom in my zone 5b garden. Bonny
@@richbishop7896 Hi Bonny. Yes I agree. Maybe Gertrude just needs a few more years. Hope you are enjoying your garden. I can just imagine how beautiful it looks. Happy Gardening ❤️🌹🌹🌹😊
My hydrangeas has gnats, how don’t get rid of them?
@@kelmoran Hi. I use Seven on the hydrangeas. This product has worked well for me. 😊❤️🌹🌹
Do you sprinkle it in the mulch or on the plant. Do you use granules or garden dust, and how long do you let it stay. I sprinkled some Seven plant and garden dust in my mulch and flowers then I waited 24 hrs and rinsed it off. I’m in Mo as well but other side of state
@@kelmoran Hi Kelly I use the liquid Sevin which is sprayed directly on the leaves. I always apply late in the evenings. 😊❤️🌹🌹
What do you use for pest control?
@@kelmoran Hi I have also started spraying with Bio Advance 3 in 1. This has helped a lot.
What do you use for pest control, bugs from eating your leafs?
@@kelmoran Hi that is a constant struggle for me. I still have not figured😊 that out. I will be using the Ferti lome drench this year. Also earlier season application of Nem Oil and horticultural oil would help to reduce insect damage. 😊
Amazing! How many plants do you have there?
@@Emma-rd6ge Hi. There are 3 roses planted in this bed. 🌹❤️❤️❤️
@naomisdreamgarden thank you ❤ I'm planning on planting three in part shade, do you think they will flower well? 4-5 hours of morning to midday sun
@@Emma-rd6ge Hi Emma. That sounds great. David Austin has Eustacia listed as one of its roses that can be planted in part shade. She is also an extremely healthy rose. ❤️🌹🌹🌹
How many years has she been in the ground?
Great stuff Naomi. I’ve seen some weird blackspot this year hitting some roses that surprised me. Emily should be healthy but yes I don’t think she was happy there I see a few blind stems. My recommendation for that spot sceptre d’Isle? James Galway? But if it were mine I would plant Leonardo de Vinci. I have seen them climb.
