Hi, I dont know but im positive there is a way. If you can cache the simulation and bake it.... then you can manipulate the timeframes...or another way is to simulate it and export the cache as an alembic file (.abc) then you import it . it will be a single object with keyframe animation attached to it that you can manipulate... FBX format also support baked animations of geometry like this pillow. I have done it before but i just cant remember exactly what the best way was.. you may need to try out and see what works best... you learn a lot more that way too.

Hello, Im really sorry, but unfortunately after I changed my computer and updated the software I didn't keep all the files I used for this tutorial. You can get free HDRi images at 3DART dot it. They also have other free assets you may want.

Thanks for the question. I actually did try that at first but for some reason it did not give me the result I wanted, so I just had to do it this way. In my experience, Maya sometimes just doesn’t do exactly what you want, so I just improvise to get the work done instead of spending more time trying to figure out why its not doing what I want it to do when I have a tight deadline.

It should work and there is a way to disable the background in the glass as well. Let me know if you need help with that. Sorry for responding late though.

Hello, thank you for your feedback. I really appreciate it. **So, as far as I know, circularize is only available from Maya 2018 and above. I started using Maya 2010 and before Maya 2018 was released, i had to create the circle manually. This circularize feature just makes the process fast, However if you analyze the vertices and edges of circularized polygons you will be able to mimic the transformation manually.

Select your glass > Select Shape1 under attributes editor > click Arnord > uncheck Opaque Still under Shape1 > Arnold > Click Visibility > make sure 'Casts Shadow' is check Marked
