They never mention price per square foot.
Considering this for our truck driving school but I'm concerned about the heat here in Texas and our rigs turn on the same spot over and over again while stopped.
Why do you have to inhale so gotdamn heavily?
My driveways are over 2000 ft long and 13ft wide each of them lol. This would cost a TON to have implemented into that. Great idea though but just costs 2 much.
This is hilarious. "oh look, you can drive a truck / plow over the top of TRUEGRID."
TRUEGRADE NEW INNOVATION TECHNOLOGY RECOMMENDABLE TO ARCHITECTS OR THE ARCHITECTURE INDUSTRY'S TO ADOPT INTO THEIR ARCHITECTURE WORK FOR LONGER LASTING PERIOD OF DAMAGE.
Would this work if there’s a lot of pine needle?
I thought still needed a bit of stone below the truegrid according to their instructions. Dig down for the base layer depth* plus 1-inch for PRO LITE-ROOT pavers. Compact the soil. Place porous landscape fabric on existing soil and up the sides. Place and compact 3/4” to 1.5” clean, angular, hard stone or 3/4” minus graded base/road base. Place and connect PRO LITE-ROOT paver pieces grid-side down, cell-side up. Fill level to the top of grid with 1/2” to 5/8” clean, angular stone.
Shoveling snow?
I honestly do not see the point of this product or how it can help drainage. Stabilizer? Please.
Should have shown the putting of the shed in and elaborated on the type of shed. Also is it possible to anchor the shed with True Grid?? COnsidering a Keter Resin shed and not sure True Grid will work with resin sheds.
It would be nice if you folks showed the past projects where your product was applied.
Could true grid be used as a paver base as well?
Jeremy, how's that base holding up for you after 3 or so years? I'm asking because I'm using the EXACT same materials you used. Truegrid prolite pavers, stabilizatoin/weed fabric (no-name from Home Depot) and the same Vigoro mountain granite you used, AND, I live just down the street from you in San Antonio, so I"ve got much the same kind of soil situation (rocky as hell!) that you probably had to deal with in your setup, so just curious how well things have held up for you and if you are still happy with your base. Great video by the way! Saving it as a reference for when I start my project in a week or so.
Does anyone respond to these comments?
Yes
Maybe
Bad design, impossible to install yellow dots when the black cell has one or two panel joints Someone with an attorney on retainer will trip and sue everyone including you Good luck
lol put a sign up stating warning be careful of falling not responsible for injury past this point. simple
LMAO tell me you don't have a clue about the install of said product without telling
Cities should be using this
This looks interesting... I live on a private asphalt paved road with about 10 houses of traffic and the asphalt is about due to be repaved or heavily patched... If the road has asphalt already and is heavily compacted there should be minimal prep work required right? Probably just a tare out of the asphalt and a light layer of base to re-level and it should be ready for the truegrid right?
Why does the gravel they show as 3/4” to 1” look a lot more like 1” to 2” angular rock (which IS strong and good for draining and retaining water to give water time to seep into the ground…and I’m hopping prevent small soil particulates from bubbling back up into the clean gravel due to the pressure when driven on by heavy and commercial vehicles )?
I just got about 800 ft 2 of this and need to instal for a school bus on our already existing gravel driveway that already has a lot of compaction. We need more detail and explanation please! What does “lay stone in 4" lifts”, mean? i dont know the construction or civil engineering terms. i was even a grade checker long ago and still dont know what "in 4 inch lifts" means! 😂 I also went to the local gravel pit and they didn’t know what “#57 stone” was! They said, “never heard of it”. 🤣 If we already have compacted gravel driveway with fines in it, is it ok to just make sure all is leveled out, lay the fabric, then put the grids on the fabric and fill with rock. What will be the pros and cons of doing this?? FYI the gravel driveway we already have does have a layer of fabric underneath however due to a slight dip from street level it can tend to pool water and also because my husband keeps insisting the fines mixed in with the gravel will help with the drainage - no, I think it slows it down and also tends to make more mud and pooling at the center low spot of the driveway (which is like a 1-2 degree slight U shape where the street and house both are slightly higher. I just tried to bring that dip up a little more. But I’d like to now just put fabric down then the grid of 2”, then the CLEAN rock. Please explain the advantages and disadvantages of doing this and if I DID need to lay more base on top of fabric, will larger clean rock drain better or will small. My money is on large but hubby insists I’m incorrect on this. Further I personally think even bigger gravel like 1.5” wpuld create a layer that would help hold the water even better to give water more space in between to hang out and eventually seep in but he thinks it’s the opposite! I think he is confused and think small increases surface area for water to contact but that just makes greater resistance to flow the more adhesion there is to more surface. The gravel yard guys didn’t help my case either when I asked they said they felt we needed gravel with fines (again!). Ugh! So why do contractors buy huge rocks to lay down for construction in climates like ours with higher rain fall annually??? It’s gotta be the quicker draining from surface and the stability (heavy equip on wet ground - it should hold a lot better than small gravel that gets pressed down into soil layers) but no one is believing me and it’s causing arguments about how to properly construct our driveway.
i love it
Is this the 1" or 1.8" truegrid?
Can this be used in a way that is not at all visible in a lawn yard?
I have a problem with a yard that gets very sodden when it rains. I don't want to have to dig up the entire yard. Do you have a product for this?
Soon
Thanks bhai 🙏🏻
That's pretty cool
Sorry, kids, the plow needs to be on the ground to be called plowing. Nonsense video.
we plowed plenty of times without scraping the ground to leave snow for traction
@@monkeyoperator1360 I believe their point is to see a video displaying what 99% of plows do- full contact scrape - on the TrueGrid to prove durability. This is a product vid not a technique vid, amigo.
@@bocaburglar the full scrape folks destroy my driveway
Is this the true grid lite or pro? Thank you.
I’m interested in manufacturing your True Grid System overseas. I get that it’s great for parking lots, but how about roadways? What weight limits…. I’m assuming for heavy Semi Trucks it would be an issue so probably not good for Industrial Park Roads…. So educate me, don’t sell me…. I have to have the right product to cut cost on many of parking lots, service roads, and really need industrial park road solutions at a much lower cost also…
I did the math for our project & the cost was prohibitive. $1700 😩. Looks like a good product, though.
May I ask how many square feet that project was?
$1700 for how many square feet?
@@acornlucy2 it's $2.89/sqft in 2024 but the price almost doubled in the last few years
I’m also curious why you put the shed on blocks and not directly on the truegrid foundation?
Can you fill this with concrete?
40 Sq ft for $150 ( just for truegrid system) not bad.
2:48, thats how much of my life i wish i could have back
Please, let's see a real plow job. Truck drove over without plow down. snow already packed down by cars. If you have such a great product, lets see the effects of a winters worth of plowing. NOT convinced!
Why not just the stone over the fabric? What's the purpose of the Truegrid?
I would guess to hold the stones in place. I've seen this type of system used in my community to create walkways. It helps keep the gravel from being moved around by rain and foot traffic.
For weight bearing support. You can drive a big rig onto one and it not crack. They use them in some states for road systems. They can hold large amounts of weight and improve gravel placement for drainage. Also you can fill with sand or allow grass to grow through. For those wanting to park a car or truck in their yard and not get stuck yet where they park looks like nice lawn. They are pretty cool and very strong.
It never says why I should need the product instead of just using rock alone
So you don't have to buy new gravel every year.
@@Luckingsworth where would it go?
@@StevenWernerCS You lose gravel constantly from driving on it, being washed out by rain, plowing snow off it. Kicking it with your feet when walking, etc.
@@Luckingsworth so better than relying on a containment border, You're making hundreds of little tiny containment borders throughout the area. but definitely not something you would need if you're just making a shed foundation or something that's isn't trafficked
@@StevenWernerCS Obviously each case will vary but yes. Another reason I just remembered is sometimes local code doesn't allow for gravel only, so this may help get around that.
Snowplows will rip this product out of the ground. This could never hold up to a Minnesota winter.
I think you misunderstand. These grid systems are improvements to gravel roads and driveways. Maybe you beleive this worse than cement and asphalt for being plowed but its a hell of a lot better than loose gravel.
Can TrueGrid be used with fine sands (no gravel)? Looking to use it in Astatula/Myakka-type soils.
amazing video friend
How to purchase the product from Sri Lanka?. Not available in Amazon too
at 3:11 you can see the plastic through the crushed stone, any way to avoid this?
I'm pretty sure you can add a little more fill. This is just a stabilizing frame.
Where to buy the plastic things?
Amazon sells it.
I'm sorry, this isn't very impressive actually. Monster trucks are 12,000 lbs yes, but it landing on it with 1 very tall and wide wheel lowers the "weight" on the product considerably. 1/4 right off the bat. Then the wheel and contact patch is EXTREMELY large, distributing that weight across a very large area. The amount of actual "crushing" of anything is pretty low. Sorry.
So much better than a concrete pad for the environment. Thanks for making this a quick video to watch, and understand the process.
can you install this over old asphalt lot that has a solid base? Or must you remove asphalt? The 6000 sq ft parking lot is surrounded by 2 acres of grass so run off is quickly absorbed. 1" pea gravel would look better than the old surface and this product looks like it would hold the stone in place.
impressive
Thanks John. Our PRO PLUS product can also handle the weight of a 260,000 lb industrial equipment when filled with gravel. See Case Study: www.truegridpaver.com/case-studies/monster-mobile-crane-rental-yard-clearwater-fl/
