Anybody have experience buying a used car from a shop that sells only used? Or from one of those online-only companies? I've been doing research over the last year and feel hesitant to buy anything but a certified pre-owned from a proper car dealership.

Perhaps they also informed the pharmacy because without me saying anything, the cost was $15. So, maybe also ask your physician about getting your prescription discounted.

We always travel with a case of water. $2.49 for 24 bottles. Water is always questionable in different cities. When we had hockey tournaments we always packed a cooler with healthy foods for our sons. Still lots of eating out with the team but this really helped!

I have cut back on watching fashion CZcamsrs or when I do- I shop my own closest. I found by watching fewer fashion videos I am saving money by not feeling like I need to buy more clothes or shoes.

Not applying for a grant for my graduate year of college is my biggest financial mistake. My now husband applied and told me and all of our friends about it, I thought there was no way I would qualify. Turns out that year they had so few applicants that everyone was accepted (including my husband and our one friend that listened to him). I would have saved $16K plus the interest it costs to pay back the loan.

Go through your credit card statements and cancel subscription services and or any reoccurring charges!!!!!! Also, research options for places that offer free shipping (like Walmart and others) and seriously consider getting rid of Amazon Prime. It will save you lots of money- by buying less “stuff” and will save you that reoccurring Amazon Prime monthly fee! I am currently working on getting my husband to realize this and agree to cut Amazon Prime fees! Example- last night- I found another product supplier for HVAC filters we needed- not only were the two filters $35 less than Amazon’s lowest price, I also received free delivery without having to pay for a subscription to getting free delivery! I think I have him convinced now. I can’t wait to cut Amazon Prime! I’m t will be liberating.

Recommend people research and reconsider what they eat- to reduce medication related to health. Most people are eating an ultra processed food diet and this engineered fake food is making people sick. Switch to eating whole / fresh vegetables, fruits, wild caught seafood, fresh whole meats, free range eggs, nuts, seeds, olive oil and avocado oil, etc. And, get rid of or drastically reduce sugar in your diet!

We only buy new cars and keep for many years. Currently have a truck that is 25 years old and a minivan that is 16 years old. Just keep up the maintenance and they will last a long time. A used car, you don’t know how well the previous owner took care of it.

We look for hotels that include breakfast. (if they have fruit, you may take a piece for later) We eat a good breakfast and usually just have a snack for lunch so dinner is our only expense. Look for coupons and discounts on area restaurants for saving on the dinners too.

You can rent books from college bookstores. You can also buy digital versions cheap from the bookstores too. Keep the receipts so you can return them. Keep them in good shape too. They can mail them to you if you want to order them before classes start. Sometimes professors say wait until the first class before purchasing.

I started the college conversation with my daughter at age 9. As a single parent, I couldn’t afford to pay her tuition so she planned accordingly. You’re correct-community service is key, as well as participation in a team sport and music (ie band). She got a full ride to a State school, obtained employment from her internship, and that job paid for her masters degree.
