If you think angle is the problem, then change the angle of your plate. This will probably only work with plates that are mounted at the top and bottom. On the top two bolts/screws, put a spacer between the plate and the vehicle. Something like a nut or washer(s). That will angle the plate down more and thus reduce the visible angle of the plate.

I just got one of these for my brothers birthday! Awesome! I love it!
Just installed one last week on my second car after testing the first one on my truck. You have to follow the instructions and get the mounting angle correct but once you have it right, no more toll road charges. thanks Ghostplate.
