Brent Erickson WE Farm
Registrace 5. 11. 2019
We're a small farm in NE Minnesota. Hereford cattle is our thing. Other than the Herefords, we have a couple of horses, a mini horse, a mini donkey and chickens. There's a bit of everything here at WE Farm.

That M will be a nice project tractor. Always something else that needs attention when it could have been a simple fix. The haybine should be ready once that is all done. Sure is a nice evening for once.
I know Will has a Westondorf loader. With all of the options that's nifty. I'm thinking my 45 is a 40k something so I believe that is a 42. Thank you Brent.
@@brycewiborg8095 I went off Tractor Data.it does have a rubber shift knob ,not a war tractor... Thanks Bryce.
@brenterickson1695 My typing is crap I'm thinking my serial number is in the 40k range.
Very neat place you have Brent! You definitely have enough to keep you busy for quite a while! Especially the wiring! It’s gonna look great after you do your thing! 👍👀👍
Thanks Kev... I've got work till I die....lol
Yikes on that wiring! That loader is worth more then that..... by far. You could put it on the 706 even 😉😁 those resistors haven't given me too much trouble, 💩 in the fuel tank is my problem. Will can fill you in on dismounting that loader, its pretty easy once you get it figured out.
Thanks Adam...I'm no expert on tractor loaders, makes me feel a bit better hearing your comment.....Runs like a dream but o lord what a wiriring nightmare....
Brent westondorf is very good about parts.... they are pricey but they have excellent quality. I love the ta 26 on my cih 895. It's similar in size to your wl 21 just a different series, mostly for utility 4x4 tractors.
Oh I just checked the video again. There are two tabs in the front mount that you flip up and then you can back out of the loader, that part Will can explain to you better. That wl 21 you have is a bit newer then his I think.
@@burrridgefarms Thanks Adam..
Always nice to have serial number breaks... And hopefully get the right parts. 🤫 I've welded keys in before... And welded shafts up... Doesn't take long to spend a bunch on a simple repair... Gladly trade you parts bills.. Past 95 today.. was supposed to be 91. Tomorrow they said 87, we will see...
I just get irratated when it;s wrong, just do it right the first time....They have 8 of those shafts in stock ...they may have been a problem.......Thanks Ed.
@@brenterickson1695 seems like every time we need a shaft, it's either way more than it's worth, or too long to get one... Or both, so old school, repair it..
@@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin After watching Piper Doug's video on his 568 JD baler shaft fix, I didn't complain a bit....
Good evening Brent. Good looking gal!! And a modern loader👍😎
@@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin I'm still watching your video...Sure hope it doesn't turn into a restoration.... Thanks for watching.
Great job! That’s gotta come in handy👍👀👍
Mmmmm, I can smell them from here
I have a 250 I still use. My uncle bought new in 67. Runs good but is heavy
They are heavy old girls... They will for sure give a guy a work out. Thanks for watching.
It's been years, but haying always seemed magical. Thank you Brent.
I sure do enjoy hay season, even though it gets to be a bit too much at times Thanks Bryce.
Man yeah, keeping it young out slinging cubes!! Love it!! 😉😉😁😁
I may be old but I can still load wagons 😎😁. Thanks Nelson.
@@brenterickson1695 Looked like a teenager out there 😉😉🇺🇲🇺🇲
@@Pennies_on_the_dollar 🤣🤣🤣
No hay building or cutting here today. Thunderstorms this afternoon, we went quadding in the hills this morning. Nice day off from the haying grind. Back to it tomorrow.
The rain has missed us but their saying a little on Monday...Nice to get a break in the action once in a while. Thanks Chad.
Good to see you getting some hay made.
Hopefully we're on a roll now... The ground is still soft on some of the fields... Thanks Erik.
👍 Nice. Good to see some hay getting made. Our thunderstorms didn't appear today.
Tropical summer! Very green. Good to have neighbors to help. Nice to get some hay done. Looks like another dry stretch next week.
@@Rollinghillsfarmsmn Hopefully we will get some more hay up this next week too. Thanks Dave.
Good afternoon Brent! It has been a battle this year,fo sho !
Afternoon Gary....it sure has, sure hope the weather cooperates the rest of the month... Thanks Gary.
Good to see you got the old fart to work!!! Trade you temperatures!!
@@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin 🤣🤣🤣No trading.... Thanks Ed.

@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin The humidity is horrible here today 🥵.
That looks great👍👍👍! Thank you!
@@InGodWeTrust816 Thanks Al...
Nice good❤❤
@@Sugary_Confectionsbread Thank you..
The old guys gotta make bales when its ready, can't always wait for the young guys to come and help, especially when you never know when it's going to rain again.
@@22gonefishing Yep, no waiting for youth.... just get it done 👍.
Wow! Absolutely beautiful property! Brings back memories of my youth! Thanks so much!
@@Kevscancave Thank you Kev....
I miss my Farmall.
@@Alex-sj5ok You can always get another one 😉.
Some beauty wallhangers there. Thanks for sharing.
We might try to get a couple up and running later...2 of them are definitely going on the wall for conversation pieces. Thanks for watching.
Boy you sure don't see those much anymore, that is epic you got them all in one swipe!! You surely have to video at least a few one day running!! 😉😉😁😁
Way to much on the plate right now to work on them, but I've got a safe , dry place to keep them. Thanks Nelson.
@@brenterickson1695 😉😉😁😁
Agreed. Can't discard saws. I briefly owned a Massey Ferguson saw. Someone i don't consider a friend made a really good offer. Thank you Brent.
By the way I am stopped I Hinkley on the way home.
@@brycewiborg8095 Massey is one I've never seen....Yep,take the money and run. Thanks Bryce.
@@brycewiborg8095 Have a good ride home.
@brenterickson1695 I'm convinced McCullough built the saw. Jacobson in the Twin Cities built Ford, and Moline garden tractors. Only cosmetic differences.
Wow, cool machines Brent👌👍! The one with the double exhaust seems to be a beast, lol😁💪!
@@InGodWeTrust816 That old Homelite with the twin pipes caught my eye too. Thanks Al.
Nice collection. Maybe an addiction🤔? Time to start a chainsaw museum.
@@Rollinghillsfarmsmn No addiction here....Kaj keeps bringing home saws, I think he's the addict 😂 Thanks Dave.
That's a lot of neat old saws, they don't make them like that anymore. I bet they have some weight. Thanks for saving them Brent.
@@pinesedgefarm1155 Glad I missed out packing one of these beasts around in the bush... Thanks Erik.
G'day awesome saws Brent. So jealous 😁
@@Murphyslawfarm They are cool...😎. Thanks Murphy.
Good evening Brent 🍻👍. I’m converted now, all about the battery operated ones now. 🤣👍🍻
@@chadtosh6831 I have to admit we have one of those electric ones too.... It's a beast 🤣🤣🤣... Thanks Chad
Neighbors had a few old saws, I don't remember what they were anymore, blue and white. 1 with a 36" bar, one with a 6' bar and the big girl had an 8' bar with a dead man handle. They were all just a bit older than what you have there.. someone snuck in and stole them out of their garage about 40 years ago 🤬
@@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin Blue and white were probably Homelites. Would have been fun to watch a couple of guys cutting timber with a 8' bar.... Thanks Ed.
@@brenterickson1695 yes!! Thank you!! The ol' steel trap just wouldn't give up the name last night.. and I could even see it on the side of the saws🙄😳🤯😂🤣
You have enough to start a mini Vintage museum! That is so awesome. Wow! I’ve never seen a chainsaw post hole digger! Super Cool Thanks Brent! 👍👀👍
G'day Kev
@@Murphyslawfarm G’ day Murphy👍
@@Kevscancave I probably could with all the old stuff we have here, including me 🤣🤣🤣. Thanks Kev.
Good evening Brent. Nice rafter hangers!! I have a few.. pretty awesome find!!!!

@@Murphyslawfarm g'day mate
@@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin Cool as hell, glad they didn't wind up in the crap pile.
@@brenterickson1695 I've got plenty of rafter room 😁
Nice saws Brent. There were a lot of guys cutting firewood with those old McCulloughs when I was a kid. They seemed old to me even then. Those were the days of the 1100 Husky and the McCullough SP125 greatest saw ever made. 🙋♂️
@@farawayfarm2520 My Dad had a Super 44 McCullough when I was a kid. When I started in the woods, we were running Husky 65,77's, and 621 Jonserudes. Thanks Will...
Good evening Brent. Just getting home!
G'day Gary
@@tractortalkwithgary1271 Good morning Gary...your working harder now than when you had a day job....You should try to retire again 🤣🤣🤣.
Love the sound of that H. You’ve got low spots like our fields…with mud streaks all over. We’ve actually got standing water in spots. Yes to beer!
@@Rollinghillsfarmsmn It does sound pretty good...We have one other field we can do, sure hope it keeps drying out.... Thanks Dave.
Man yeah, looking great Mr Brent!! I love the wide fronts, dont see many around here!! I see the little C os still in thr building 🤔😉😁 Thank you sir for bringing us along!! 😁😁🇺🇲🇺🇲👌🏻👌🏻
@@Pennies_on_the_dollar I like the wide fronts for haying...Yep the Super C is still waiting for you😂....I haven't had time to go pick up the M yet.... Maybe if I don't push selling the SC, the bookkeeper will let me keep it 🤣🤣🤣. Thanks Nelson.
@brenterickson1695 Man yeah, I would go with that, in the book keeper 😉😉😁😁
I always like to see the good old equipment in action😁💪👍! Great video Brent👍!
@@InGodWeTrust816 Thanks Al, I really like the old stuff too....
I remember mowing hay with a John Deere sickle mower. Glad we didn’t have to use that this year! We would have gone through 1000 pitman arms 2:36 and the hay would have taken a month to dry A month we didn’t have since it rains every other day!
@@tractortalkwithgary1271 It's been quite a year... Between May 1 to now, we've had 15" of rain... Really glad that wasn't snow. Thanks Gary.
@@brenterickson1695 some areas of western Iowa have had north of :0 inches of rain since May 1st.

Now that's a nice hay cutting combination. I cut with my M a few times, ir really makes you appreciate live power. Thanks Brent.
It sure does.. Thanks Erik.
Good ol H. Love the sound they make!
@@larsonvalleyfarm They do bark and snap...this has been a work horse since we got it.
If that is thick then..... I was mowing a jungle 🤣🤣 Those ol H's sure have their own sound, different from an M.
The understory was thick with clover, treefoil and vetch... The other patch I did had 4' timothy and 2' clover... Thanks Adam.
Now you're getting somewhere. 👍 I'm afraid I'm going to have a wet spot like that all along the fence line. The sod is thick there. I might float. I bet that hay didn't look that good last year.
@@farawayfarm2520 The 2520 and floats on the Haybine you'll probably be fine...the 4230 with the baler might be a adventure....I think we'll square bale this just because it's wet. Thanks Will.
The H is right, but we were still using a Minnesota sickle bar, and a New Idea side delivery rake. Thank you Brent.
@@brycewiborg8095 I love that old tractor but I sure missed my live PTO and live hyd.. Thanks Bryce.
