I replaced the left speaker with two different speakers. BOTH still crackled and vibrated. I got curious and plugged in headphones and the headphones sounded normal. I unplugged the headphones, and the speaker was WORKING PROPERLY. WOW!

I use a G604 as one of my mains, the dongle for my gaming laptop and the BT for Win-tablet. I like how the switch button is on the top so I don't have to pickup the mouse to toggle between devices. Bought the 720 around a year ago for the same functions but for my phone, tablet and Legion Go. Only issues I have with the 720 is you re-pair the dongle via GHub. Not bad mice, but Logitech needs to stop using rubber as my 604 is starting to deteriorate so I'm going to have to re-skin it.

ive been using theese mice for over 10 years and hers the durability experience: they break after 2 or 3 years. ive gone through 3 and im buying 4th. the first thing that wears out is rubber on thumb side then other side. then next breaks ther cord where it comes out of mouse and it starts losing signal when you move mouse. it casues cursor to stop and game freeze for 1 to 2 seconds. if you secure the cord with suspension spring from a ball pen then it may live longer. one of mmy mouse lived long enough this way for right hand button switch to start not registering well due to constant hold down during shooters while aiming. last one to give out is left click from holding and clicking. it sometimes double clicks himself when i single click. why i use it? for macros. many buttos to record separate button pushes which can be combied depending on game and situation. saves time grinding or opening some dumbass lootboxes. also i used its inbuilt memory to program macros, then i connected it to work pc at work and used it for 1 or 2 months where my job was to do several thousand repetitive functions per day therefore by reducing click count i increased speed and reduced the stress on wrists and fingers. other pros are its very light. i have small desk space and i lift and relocate mouse constantly despite having high sensibility to lover movement space. trackball however is not for gaming. first one i got for 5 eur, but it was speciual promo. it was like 15 eur 10 year ago now its 30. but still its great for its price and macro functions. when you get into more techical side of things, despite being the cheapest gaming mouse with software support, it lets you write custom code (scripting) with the limited commads the soft support. however it extends the pre-programmed functions and allows to create custom tailored macros for your needs. the most popular being custom tailored anti recoil movement for each gun in shooters, which is not considered a hack, but more like disabled assistance tool, since it does not tamper with ingame files, just helps with user input. it works great for gun with pre-set recoil movement per bullet, doesnt do so well if recoil patters are random and change every time.

Thank you for the nice instructions on how to disassemble mouse and the warning about the springs (my eyes can't see such fleas anymore). At home I found some boards from old mice with Zippy switches that are the same. Corrected. The switch problem appeared 4 years and 4 months after I bought the mouse. I had the same switch problem with my previous wired mouse. Omron switch too.

I am thinking of upgrading the SSD an old Macbook Air 2015. I know that the Macbook will only accept Catalina. Since you have to make a bootable OS on a thumb drive when installing the new SSD, I am curious to know whether you can put the most recent MacOS (which is currently Sonoma) on the thumb drive and make the old Macbook run it on start up - or if you have to choose an OS you know will work with the model (and then find hacks to upgrade it once set up). Anyone know?
