What was the problem

Check the mast step for galvanic corrosion. It's a major issue on Pearsons. Btw, I just purchased hull # 362, and did I get a good deal. Only issue, now what to do?

I bought my transfer stick pump from Harbor Freight for $12. Slower, I'm sure, wnd far less durable. But it works, runs on ordinary D cells, and I can buy 10 or more for the price of the Milwaukee.

Water leaks on stbd chain plate as witnessed by stains on top of hanging locker. Both chain plates need to be removed, inspected for crevice corrosion (cracks), and replaced if bad (or just replaced..) Replacements available from Garhaurer Marine and/or Catalina Direct). Then reinstalled with proper sealant.

Cool adventure. I didn’t know about that rock quarry. We’re in the market for a larger dinghy we can tow behind Happy Ours that has a console for more comfortable dinghy cruising. The lighter the better so we’ll check out the ultra lights.

I like that motor. If I ever get another gas motor, I think I'm going EFI. No more carburetors if I can help it. Only problem is the smallest one is like 100 lbs. How do you handle the motor when it goes from garage to dinghy? Do you use a hoist system, or just get strong helpers? Also if you're launching the dinghy from your boat, how would you mount and unmount the motor?

I have been looking at antifouling and rust oleum is one ive been looking at for the bottom. Ibwill probably change the color on the topside and i dint know if rust oleum will have the colors i will want

I'd always found those magnetic dishes essential for holding on to nuts and screws, when working. Until I started working on boats, where all my bolts are stainless or bronze, and are thus non-magnetic.
