Thanks SO much for this video! I am all about fixing things on my own.
Ive found that buying a new valve which includes the solenoid and diaphragm is only a couple bucks more than buying parts separately.
What the hell kind of mess you have behind you? How am I supposed to trust you?
Thank you , super simple and very informative
Maybe I *can* do this. Gonna try. Thx for great video! ❤
Make sure you understand there are two wires . The common and the active. She talks about it being a ground. There is a difference between a ground and a common.
You don’t zoom in nearly enough!!!
Thanks so much! You saved me big $$$ from calling a repair company! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💚💚
thank you for this!
That's my next step thanks
This is a great video. Thanks for saving time and money.
I'm not single, independent, or a lady, but I enjoyed your video 😂
What a mess of an install….
My respect. ❤
Need to fire the camera person
Great directions. Thank you. Clear and simple. Great encouragement.
I didn't realize this was just for ladies till the end. Fixed my leaking system though!
You ate AMAZING! I am a Single mom and the sprinklers won’t shut iff. Stupid question I know but can I get electrocuted? Working on this? Tells you how much I do not know about this.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge! After a week of waiting for a repairman and the zone running and flooding the backyard, I found your video and I'm so thankful. For the cost of a $7 diaphragm the repair is done ! You are a blessing!
Thank you so much. I was able to fix my zone 1. I’m not sure how much money I just saved but I also felt a huge sense of accomplishment when it was fixed.
Thank you. It worked
Love this channel!
Just fixed it, thanks to you. I saved about $500 and it was so easy. I wll only watch your video's for anything needing to be fixed!
Thank you so much! You made it so simple and clear. Love it!
Did it work?
Do you know why a single sprinkler of mine isn’t working? It’s not the whole zone. I’ve tried removing and cleaning the nozzle, changing the nozzle but didn’t help.
Absolutely most thanks to you! Thank you so much! I was able to fix my valve #2 . Now it shot off! Thank you for your amazing teaching video.
and your cute
Great. Tho unfortunately, Mine does not look exactly like that
how did you know which one it was?
Love the “can do” attitude! Thank you!
thanks for the demo and info, have a great day
first of all you never mentioned what your water source was because if it was reclaimed, potable, or a well with a pressure tank your not going to be just pulling that solenoid of without killing the pressure off of it first otherwise the zone will more then likely start and you will get a stream of water in ur face from under the solenoid. next that was a rainbird solenoid you just installed and i can tell you from experience that its alot more then 12 dollars 😂😂. then you wired the solenoid then said next to put your top on ..... ahh no that top will only be put on before those wires get tied together. thats why you didnt put it on when you said that. other then that your fault isnt always the solenoid either. it could be a bad connection or bad mod on the controller so i would test the voltage to the solenoid then the ohms from it at the controller to see what your working with first peace out
Nat, how do I figure out what valve solenoid or actuator I need? Thank you.
Exactly go girl gonna try this tomorrow!!! Thanks
I'll look in your other videos, but I found this one because I just turned my water on to the sprinklers, and one zone came on, and the sprinkler box was at to off. No zone should be running. I turned the water to the yard off, and am now researching what to do. If you have ideas, id love it!
Appreciate you video. I followed your guide and solve my problem.😀❤
For those wondering: Yes, you will need to connect those solenoid valve wires from the new actuators to a control panel, which requires a regular GFCI plug.
I'm just a dude learning from a smart chick. 👋 Great video!
Huh, but you’re a girl?
M name is Derek, and I am a man that needed directions!🙂After viewing your tutorial, I went straight to analyzing the zone valve, because the cover to the valve was loose to start off with, After cleaning the dirty gunk out, and tightening the cover, it worked perfectly, and I am stoked! Thanks much for the tutorial.
This is a good video. Thanks. You should probably put a little clip of the station successfully turning on after you did this. Usually when I do stuff like this I'll go flip the switch and nothing happens. 😂
Thank you very much, where to buy the parts?
Thank you soooo much for making this video! Our power went out today and when it came back on one of the zones turned on and won't turn off. Unfortunately for me, my husband is at work and it is 36 degrees, windy and wet. Your video has given me the confidence to fix this issue by myself.
Mine has all black wires.
Very helpful and great job on your project.
Hi Nat Awesome video! I have a zone for the flowerbeds that won't turn off. Long story,, but I want to keep that zone shut. If I cut the wires to the solenoid, will that valve stay shut? Thanks a ton and hope you would respond to this. Jay. 🙏
I will give you advice based my experience. When solenoid is not working The best is to replace valve and solenoid at same time.
So you did this on a nice, sunny day, not windy, wet, and at the end of the season when it's cold. Other than that little difference, I think you have helped me solve a problem! Thanks to you and your cute little friend. the part about shutting off the main was an EXCELLENT reminder.
This also is good instruction if you're a single guy. :)
