Thank you. I forgot those stages. She is in so much discomfort and pain. And therefore I feel her heartbreak. I let her cry and drove her around for 3 hours listening to sad songs and cried with her. My husband wanted to handle it with realistic and life lesson conversations. I didn’t think she was ready for that. Thank you for helping us.

She wants narcissistic supply

This little child sounds like he's in crisis! I think there is still time to help him but his entire mental "operating system" and behaviors are getting locked in. I don't think they have time to mess around. If I were his parent, I'd make this my top priority!

This is tough. 16 hear old teen with a very controlling 1 year relationship ending. All of those 5 stages of grief except the acceptance...but in less than a week. This has been hard! I see why some parents say no dating until they are 30. Seeing your daughter's heart breaking is awful! I feel so helpless for her.

So what do you do when they live in a 600 sq. ft. condo and the yelling, screaming and steady stream of foul language is relentless for hours daily? There is zero peace for the mother. She can’t hear herself think. To say this is harmless gaming culture is ridiculous. It’s like living inside a missile range. How do they deal with the incessant volume and profanity? I think there needs to be a headset that makes the wearer be aware of the “outside” volume of their activities. The obliviousness is 100 percent inconsiderate and selfish. The kid is only 13. 😭

To be honest. This kind of. Crap is very draining. People loose their lives. People can't make relationships anymore. Its only gains. Security. Drama etc. People soon will stop wanting opposite sex.

You said if you tell your kids 50 times MAYBE they'll learn, but spanking the won't teach them any faster.... 🤦‍♂️ If I tell my son not to run into the street where a car can run him over "kindly" 50x he might lose his life before we reach 10x. If he steals from the candy jar do I have to tell him "kindly" 50x also? How about I spank them 3x and I guarantee they'll never do it again. From the title, I thought you are that type of parent that are toxic, but a couple seconds in I felt sorry for you and your son. For my recomendation, tell him DIRECTLY that he is manipulated and being lied to, if not, tell his girlfriend’s parent or anyone who has a higher role than her that would ACTUALLY listen.

It’s so true that it’s important to meet the child where they are at. Most kids would love to see their parents at least attempt to play video games with them. Even if the parent is terrible, it’s the effort that counts.
