Project Wingman - One Giant Furball
zhlédnutí 106Před 3 lety
Palms sweaty, stomach queasy. Guns guns guns, keep it steady. What do you get when both sides in an air war keep escalating the conflict by sending more and more reinforcements to the skirmish? The largest furball in recorded aerial combat history, apparently. Difficulty: Hard
Star Wars Squadrons - Mission 1

Still figuring out controls and details, but let's give it a whirl.
Half Life Alyx - Part 8
zhlédnutí 6Před 4 lety
Had more of the occasional glitching this time around. This game seems to demand quite a bit of system resources.
Half-Life: Alyx - Part 1
zhlédnutí 43Před 4 lety
Just a blind playthrough with no commentary. Much to my annoyance, it wasn't until after the fact that I noticed MSI Afterburner's overlay was on!
Hunt Showdown - Solo Hunt Attempts #2
zhlédnutí 28Před 5 lety
New attempt at a Solo Hunt session. Going in Solo is a pretty risky manuever, but I'm enjoying the tense excitement of it all. Also, trying some new OBS settings for better color and darkness shades. FPS should be much better too, though it feels it could be smoother...

Impressive graphcs, thanks for it.
love this! curious what bash script you used to achieve this look (w/ the emulator)?
Quite appropriately, the script was called Hollywood, as best I can recall. Or sometimes referred to as Hollywood Hacking, I think. Very likely still out and about there!
@@LockStockRocket thanks so much!

I've been listening to this non-stop. If you made a channel with just this retro ambient sounds and visuals you'll be on the moon my friend.
Hollywood style, that cracked me.
Why would anyone dislike this!!!
I love old retro green screen computers ............ to bad they were all trashed at the landfill sites. I have one old labtop with green screen.......but the 50 other retro computers I have are from 1995 on up to 2006. And one trash bin find which was a 2016 ACER which needs a graphics card yet. Rebuilding these computers, just for fun.
Why the hex-editor tho?
That's wonderful! It really captures the 80s Ridley Scott aesthetic brilliantly. I want a 10 hour version of it!
I have a question for you, can you translate my videos
I can certainly try and help?
@@LockStockRocket Thank you, I promise to advertise your channel on my own channel.
Im trying to learn this song now. I don’t know why but this song is a lot harder than most of the others on hard mode
Hey man! This is cool! I was thinking of making a short film. Would you be able to make custom retro computer content?
Ah, I wish! This was just a simple bash script I found online, looking fancy through the retro terminal emulator. I briefly thought about trying to make my own, but there's a lot to learn before getting there.
I want this as a screen saver, badly!
Totally doable, in my opinion. I don't know any by name, but I'm pretty sure there are screensaver applications out there that support playback of media files and formats like mp4. I even turned this into a wallpaper for a while using Wallpaper Engine.
specs puddy? cpu , ram and gpu
I hate the triple blues 0:24
Bits like that were what made me develop the habit of short and quick strokes, just so I can keep up. Then you see other players, doing graceful and smooth strokes, and still keeping up without a hitch. :/
For Ubuntu?
This particular one was running in Ubuntu, but I believe both the Hollywood script and cool-retro-term are good for running on most popular linux distros, without any issues.
That was a pretty cool match to watch, dude.
Thank ya. It's tense but satisfying. Got another one coming later today.
Ah yes, a Vive user. No more Oculus Broke users.
This makes me uncomfortable for some reason
Please return to your deep-cryo berth pods. Everything is under control. There are definitely no intrusive alien lifeforms aboard. Thank you for your cooperation.

It bothered me how you were treating the UMP like it was an MP5.
Well, it was the MP5's successor, after all. Right?
trineon Right, but unlike the MP5, the UMP doesn't need that famous 'HK slap' to drive the bolt home properly, you could either charge it normally or use the bolt release. Although I admit it always has some novelty to it, be it an MP5 or something like an F2000. Either way, I'd still probably take an MP5 over a UMP anyway, as the fire rate on UMP leaves much to be desired. Also, I appreciate that you responded at all (let alone quickly) despite the video being over a year old. The video in itself was fantastic, and I liked and subscribed. I ought to wrap this up, as it's getting really long. Thanks for the entertainment.
Thank goodness for CZcams notifications~ I see your point, though. All the same, it's hard to resist slapping the bolt shut. As best I recall, at the time I'd recorded this, the MP5 hadn't been implemented into the game yet, prompting me to go with the UMP as a subgun demonstration. But the slower fire rate and snub-looking profile is definitely noticeable, yeah. ...Maybe I should make another one, since so many new guns have been added over the past year.
I agree, it is a very nice way to chamber a weapon. The UMP is still a good gun, and I think you made a good choice there. And if you made another one, I'd personally watch and enjoy it. The personality you add to it makes it that much better. Sorry about the late reply.

So happy your uploading again. I love your style of non-commentary. It's much better than any others cause it's not littered with music. It's just raw game audio. Love your vids, keep them coming.
Well thank you kindly. I often prefer a minimalist approach, partly because I'm not looking to achieve or show anything special, but also because that's something I often want to see myself when browsing YT; No-frills gameplay, without commentary or external music. Nice and simple!
1:05 where's the death screaming
He does a different scream sometimes when he transforms into his final phase it kinda sounds funny

Good play!
Thank ya! This was one of the less-frustrating boss stages.
count your shots if you know how much bullets it's magazine carrys
I should, but I'm too gosh darn lazy most of the time...if not too distracted with trying to aim.
Nice video bro mae more!!!
He has great skills of shooting flying pots
.... Terminated
How do you get all those bullets into one space like that? I've seen it everywhere but I can't figure it out someone please help. I'm on vive
Do you mean storing multiple bullets as a cluster in a single pocket space? I don't recall in explicit detail, so take my answer with a grain of salt; After placing a single bullet and setting it to infinite spawn by pressing up on the trackpad, I pull out a copy, and press up on the trackpad again, whilst holding the bullet on the same pocket. That should add that bullet beside the original, making two of them, without changing the spawn-state of the pocket. Now, when I retrieve from that pocket, it spawns two copies in my hand, which I can then add back again by pressing up on the trackpad once for each copy. Rinse and repeat for as many you want stored in the cluster. ...I'm probably not the best at explaining it either.
thank you! youre a life saver this makes everything so much easier
14:27 I believe that's the gun from blade runner
It is indeed! The LAPD 2019 Detective Special, as it's known. Certainly considered sexy piece of fictional armament, more famous today for it's regular appearance as an easter egg in Fallout games. It's a joy to wield and shoot, and I especially love the complexity that's been built into it for H3VR.
11:42 That was a good shot. Nicely done.
Thank ya. The C96 is surprisingly powerful (or at least feels like it) compared to the Single Action Army. That, and the sharper sights.
nice !!
finaly someone who pulls the bolt back with their right hand instead of using their left
Thanks to the dev being thoughtful enough to implement such an option to the controls. With no real physical feedback to your motions, it's initially a little awkward to 'roll' your trigger hand back and forth to cycle the bolt, but you eventually get a sense for it with practice.
You should play this game again. It's been updated quite a lot. Lots of new toys and things to do. The arcade modes are quite amazing now.
I've been thinking about coming back to this for another round of messing about, yeah. The more recent arcade range, plus the weapons added back during the Meatmas event... It's a lot to cover!
It is a lot to cover, if you do cover the new material you might have to do more than one video on all the new guns and things. I personally would love to see it.
You should do another H3VR vid, it's been updated a lot.

Well.. due this game and Onward alone, I'm buying the HTC Vive today. Lol.
Congrats! Pavlov's currently on a sweet discount too, so the timing's perfect.
trineon Did they take the arms out of the game all I see now is floating hands in videos how do you have it so it displays the arms like that?
I've bought the full version recently, and yeah, you just have the floating hands instead now. Not sure why they opted to remove the arms; Maybe it's because they were prone to get into odd positions?
4:00 dude i dont think thats how a pistol is working you have one in the chamber ok and when the slide goes forward a second bullet goes to the chamber
Very true, and it felt weird to me too at that point. But it's most likely a small design flaw in the modeling that'll eventually get fixed. This game is still deep in development, and smaller inconsistencies regarding manually chambered rounds are probably very low priority on the list of needed corrections.
What would happen IRL?
Some Weeb it would jam because the slide is trying to put a bullet in the chamber when there is already a bullet in the chamber.
So how would you clear it?
Some Weeb pull the charging handle back and remove the 2nd bullet that was being chambered and the same time.
Awesome video Trineon! i really am looking into the htc vive and this is the only game so far that has my attention, would it be worth it to get the htc just for this game? it looks so much fun.
Oooooh, I dunno about that! This is a very entertaining 'gun sim', and it's development is coming along splendidly, but is it alone worth buying $800 worth of hardware? Only if you're comfortable with that price tag! I bought the Vive because I had a long standing obsession for VR, and it was the first great, *feasible* execution of that tech. I don't regret my purchase one bit, but I will readily admit that it's just the first generation, and there are still aspects that can and will need further refinement. There almost certainly will be better, and more affordable VR solutions showing up in the coming years. You can certainly jump on the VR bus now if you want, but only if you're OK with the current price tag! Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades is a must-have VR title, but I dunno if it alone is worth that jump. There are plenty of other games out there however, and collectively they've certainly ensured I didn't regret my decision.
I like how you express with the hand gestures. It' quite funny +1 sub for you keep it up dude.
I didn't even realize until you mentioned it!
I think h3vr devs likes hickok45 cause this area on its that how his shooting range looks like.
Yeah, the area is called "friendly45" and is directly based off of Hickock45's range.
I didnt know that :D thanks for info.
That it is. I wanted to mention that earlier, but youtube wouldn't let me comment for some reason!
trineon operating system error, please fix it when it says operation failed (or update it)

actually a great demonstration of how the game can be. great vid.
Thank ya. It's mostly just mucking about, but I did figure it might make for a good demo to some friends.
