This is a useful technique for sewing vinyls. Such as marine vinyl or other vinyl types that get a deep crease when sewn normally. Sewing Double Fold Bias Tape to Finish an Edge
zhlédnutí 21KPřed 7 lety
Bias tape is a type of binding that you can add to your projects to finish them off professionally. It is cotton fabric cut on the bias (diagonal grain) so it has a stretch to it, but its not too stretchy. It is ideal for finishing off cuffs, necklines, and other areas of a fursuit costume (or other projects!!) to prevent the raw edge from being exposed and potentially unraveling or stretching....

I find it so cool on all ends. I've bought a few tutorials from you already from a year or two ago, maybe even 3 years ago depending on which one it was. Although I do modifications to what works best for me.
such a great Idea <3 I love it !
This is amazing!!😆
Most def going to be making my own fursuit this summer =D
That’s super cool !!! Huge congrats !
Thank you for the encouragement! I find this crazy because I just started making my own fursuit head. I have been using your website a lot! Thank you so much for the generous tips!
Husky!
14 years ago?? This sounds like it’s from an old movie wow this actually cheers me up a bit
This was really helpful! I kept getting the muzzle wrong... But this video solved the problem!!!
i wish this was me
As old as this tutorial is, it still comes to be so useful in many ways.
Can you please send me a link to that little brush or let me know or what it's called? Thanks xxx
I put some fursuit paws in the dryer and the fur has heat damage. Is there a way I can fix this?
How severe is this heat damage?
:Z
Could this be used to untwist rose swirl faux fur?
I'd say, use a test piece of the fabric to see if it can be done. I'm sure it can be done, just maybe more time consuming. Do not apply the heat for longer than 10-15 seconds at a time on high. Longer periods risks damaging faux fur.

brilliant and informative, thank you so much. and all in 2 minutes, the same amount of time the last video I watched spent rambling before saying "I just used a brush", which was useless
I know what my first fursuit i make is gonna be
Oh my goodness, I was doing this exact thing on short pile fur before I ever knew this video ever existed! I'm thankful these videos exist even if I was already doing it before I ever seen this video. Now other people will know about it!
Well you are a artist and have a fantastic imagination because my example looks like a rat has been chewing on it. Thanks for sharing
I have foe for bath mats and I just purchased them and the 1st time they got wet. They are bowing up both of them and their brain name. Do you know how to fix that
Omg yessss
I have moccasins that have fur and 1 of them after I sprayed them it turned up and can't get it to lay flat now and it's just around the seam before the leather
Was looking on here literally at random and found out you were the artist i used to be a fan of when i was like 14 😭 Literally recently tried looking for your character for hours without any luck, crazy how things work bro
Can you play the drums?
I can't thank you enough for this tutorial! It saved me on a time-sensitive sewing project! ❤
Here in 2023, and this video continues to be helpful. Thank the stars I found you.
If there’s one thing we can depend on a furry for, it’s this sort of expertise
Laaame. Take that dog for a run
I buy stuffing made from recycled plastic bottles and it lumps really easily. I had a giant dog cushion to re-fluff...stuck Veronica Mars on and it was done after half of the first season :")
Thank you thank you! First thing I tried was hot glue, and then felt really silly when I put it on and realized I had hard plastic-like material smooshing into my face
Wow, even if this suit is 13 years old it's still impressive, even today
Под горку то, конечно, здорово побегать, а вот когда в гору тянуть придётся уже так весело не будет :)
A tutorial i need, is how to add toony eyes to a resin head. These look so good!
Interesting 🤔. I like it
Id rather use steel brush!
I did this to 6 pillows and 4 giant couch back pads. It took a few weeks of doing some every day while watching TV. And was the most tedious task ever, ha ha! Bleh. I'm tempted to rent a Teddy Bear fluff stuffer machine to break it up next time.
I own a miniature Build A Bear stuffing machine! And it definitely works just a bit tedious but HOWEVER IT does reach some spots I couldn't quite reach with the aid of making extensions to it that I can pop on and off. I used a 3d printer for it though which I know that some people don't have access to let alone own any themselves.
Thank you so much for sharing!! I found this video super super helpful
This is like teh only binturong fursuit I have seen
Hey how can I get a fur suit made by someone? Just wanted to know
Do some research on makers to see who makes what you want, and then see if they'll take a commission to make your suit!
Very helpful! thank you!
12th
seems like it'll be easier if it was done by a comb or something... though, not that ive tried it. im too afraid to take apart my plushie
I attempted and I broke the teeth of my combs off. I wouldn't recommend a comb unless it's made of metal. But I CAN recommend a wire brush used for pets. It's actually WAY EASIER that way, although, it can get stuck at times and you'd need to fight it lmao. I do also do it by hand which is painstakingly slow but gets the job done. Also, for the plushie, you don't have tear apart your plushie, just make a small opening and you can start pulling out the stuffing, fluff it out, and stuff it back in and do a ladder or puppet to hide the sew job.
That's the best love you can give to your dog. You are safely giving him an off leash experience. All dogs love to run not just huskies. That's why there's so much lease pulling when people walk their dog. That dog is soooo wanting to run. Who can run behind their dog to allow that free running experience when walking him on a leash? I can't! This is great!!
Thanks I'm going to make a Spring Bonnie cosplay and this will help me a ton!
Im also making a spring bonnie cosplay!
Holy cow I watched this 9 years ago and this decided to show up on my feed today
I Put a can of soup in the eye hole till it dries
Thank u for this tip!! 😎
My 10 year old fursuit is super damaged after years of use so I'll be using this on her body suit and tail : )
