Will it start? Thermo King reefer unit hasn’t run in some time.
I just purchased this trailer and it came with a ThermoKing reefer unit. It hasn’t been run in a while and seems to be in good shape. Will it start?

Replacing an upper main shaft on an escalator
zhlédnutí 747Před rokem
This main shaft had a failure of the emergency brake. You’ll see in the video there’s a disk that’s tightly clamped to the sprockets that hold the steps on their chains. The E brake is a large chunk of metal that interferes with those lugs and locks up the main shaft from turning. That disk has a friction layer that’s clamped in between allowing just a little of slip. If the E brake was to enga...
John Deere 1-1/2hp type E Hit and Miss engine brought back to life
zhlédnutí 2KPřed rokem
I recently acquired this engine. Hasn’t run in years. Has great compression and turns freely. Spark was almost nonexistent. Had to completely rebuild the magneto. Re-timed the Ignitor, adjusted the exhaust valve, and replaced the rotted fuel tank. After a few weeks of going round and round, I finally got it all sorted out and running. I still need to fix the air leaking fuel line and install so...
Mower X blade review, twice the cutting power?
zhlédnutí 68KPřed 4 lety
Today I talk about and review the X blade kit from Ballard-inc.com. It allows you to install a second blade on each of your mower's spindles. Does two blades per spindle give you twice the cutting power? I put it to the test. We also go over the very popular Oregon Gator G6 blades. These are a hybrid mulching blade that requires no mulching kit for your mower. I discuss some pluses and minuses ...
Re-roping a 2:1 underslung elevator. Schindler 400A
zhlédnutí 8KPřed 4 lety
This video was taken halfway in completion of replacing the traction ropes. It’s quite the setup and fairly complicated, but in short you support the counterweight, then hoist the car up a few inches, then use the old rope to pull in a new one. The process takes 3 guys a long day to complete on a short rise elevator. Thanks for watching!
Older Millar elevator mod to Otis traction cars. + Bonus old Otis service car
zhlédnutí 3,1KPřed 4 lety
Otis flyball governors in action! This is an old mod job by Millar Elevator who was bought out by Schindler. The service car is a hand controlled car with a mechanical selector that was the precursor to the famous pie-plate selector. Amazingly the controller on the service car wasn't the original one. It didn't match the sales number on the machine. We guess it was replaced in the 50s. The car ...
Old MCE in need of modernization
zhlédnutí 684Před 4 lety
I got the opportunity to see an old pair of Otis elevators that had been modernized that need modernizing again. LOL These are MCE 1000s (?) that have the black box drive controls and motor generators. Enjoy the tour.
Bi-directional oil pump breakdown
zhlédnutí 1,2KPřed 5 lety
I was repairing a gearbox for a moving walk and ran across this unique little oil pump. It’s not a high speed or high pressure unit. All it does is make sure the upper bearings in this speed reducer get some oil. It doesn’t matter which way you turn the pump, you still get oil flow the proper way. You wouldn’t want to starve your bearings of oil would you?
Woodworking vertical bandsaw converted to metal cutting using a VFD and a 3 phase motor
zhlédnutí 15KPřed 5 lety
Here’s is where I took a 14” Jet woodworking bandsaw and converted it to cut metal. I removed the 1hp 1720 rpm single phase 120vac motor and replaced it with a 1/2hp 1140 rpm 3 phase 240vac motor. I installed a Variable Frequency Drive known as a VFD to control the motor speed. The goal was to have the motor run at 60Hz. In order to have the intended 150’ per minute blade speed, more mechanical...
3 phase AC motor on single phase home power?
zhlédnutí 32KPřed 5 lety
This is a quick demonstration that a 3 phase motor can and will run off of single phase. I’m running this motor at half voltage and only one coil instead of the normal three it was designed for. So it’s only developing a fraction of its rated power and only drawing a small portion of the power it normally would. I mentioned this motor is destined for my 14” wood bandsaw to metal bandsaw convers...
New John Deere 3D tractors! 3035D
zhlédnutí 15KPřed 5 lety
Featured at the John Deere booth at the 2019 National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville KY was their new 3035D tractor. The new 3D tractors are all gear drive with a synch reverser and manual non-synchronized cast iron(?) transmission. Currently you can get three different engines on this tractor all with tier4 emissions equipment. 25, 35, and a 43HP engine is optional. I came away pretty impre...

ALL that and you didn't cut 1 piece of metal? LOL.
How does the motor slow down? What does she do to absorb the inertia?
I love watching relay logic at work!
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
Is it possible to run one of these 3 phase motors to run off a DC battery?
Just found your channel and subscribed. Very nice mill
Mulching blades on top any other blade on bottom for the best cut
the days of equipment lasting this long, are gone! great video!
Instant starting: 1 and 2 is hooked up to the plug, 2 and 3 is hooked up to a run capacitor 24μf
They can also have new parts custom produced for a reasonable price thanks to new machining technologies and 3D printing technology as long as they have the original parts diagrams! :)
Clover is awful for clinging to deck. I HATE (keeping up with the Jones’s) using weed killer and fertilizer. SO BAD for our freshwater ecosystems!
I would think that the lowest blade would do all the cutting before the top blade. Unless the top blade is stepped to bring the cutting edge down to the same plane as the lower blade.
Now THAT is cool!
Do you like it?
I have a question and wonder if you could answer it. Say I buy this machine and want to convert it to CNC. Do you think its possible?
Sweet. So perfectly dialed in.
the lift is so fast

So why do pony engines sound like they’re 2 stroke even though I’m sure they’re 4 stroke?
I’ve always been amazed at how quiet, simplistic and efficient those motors are. 👍🏻
I've seen such a system in Federation tower in Moscow and I was a little bit confused for a first time )
looks virtually identical to the al336 from H&F..., the standard gap bed 12x36... except for the one crucial feature which is what im always looking at now... the tailstocks done properly on these. take a look at the aforementioned model and see if you can see it... even the latest PM 12x36 does it. they all come from the same factory after all. ive noticed a very old PM 12x36 seemed to be "correct". i have contemplated trying to get one shipped over, but ive decided its better to fire my furnace up, practise my timber work skills, start mashing up some more greensand... and make a lever/ram type with a shaper/slotter affair instead. now ive added a DRO... its even worse. absolutely kills me, makes me not want to use it, as working between centers is an absolute nightmare. actually, this is probably a rebranded version of the al346/al356. that little bit bigger. and the taisltocks done properly!
y was it bubbling at the end
Awesome!
oh where it is😅😅
Try using 1 regular blade and 1 mulching blade . It works really well
I have the 482 model. 👍👍
Is this the James Building in Chattanooga Tennessee?
Did this ever work in your band saw? I’m having the same issue: bought a 3 phase motor band saw by mistake
Driver driven. are these running on MCE controllers?
Matches to manufacturers part
One useless fact is our machines were green until the 1980s then they were all blue I think it was corn flowers blue
We never called it a pie plate wellnot in uk anyway
Sweet pulley speed reduction setup! Probably loads of torque there. I would watch the metal dust with that VFD. I ran a surface grinder with the VFD too close and it shorted and blew. Startled me because it was pretty loud. I relocated a new one in an enclosure with fans and filters about 8 feet away and was fine from then on. You can get or make an extension cable for the remote keypad to mount where it's easy to use.
Are you able to show the nameplate for this gearbox more clearly?
These Thyssenkrupps?
You can't have anything nice with kids around.
Lo vendes?
THAT Annoying sound
Imagine you have a phobia of heights and you are just on the top of the elevator shaft.
Mitsubishi&otis&kokni
The base of the elevator shaft could have a pool of thickening fluid! The elevator itself could have cones at the base of the elevator, if the elevator somehow drops these cones could pierce the fluid, and create a braking system! The elevator shaft could also extend below the ground, and could have copper around the base of the shaft, and the exterior of the elevator itself could have magnets to help slow the decent!
Or the exterior of the shaft at the base could have aluminium, and the elevator itself could have magnets around it.
Or the elevator could first go past the copper, then the aluminium, then the thickening fluid!
This is a traction elevator - barely any fluid except for the motor...
That’ll bring out my gangster. I’ll drive up that on ramp the wrong way don’t play with me. U gonna buy me a new one.
The elevator tec keeps that room like new.😃

Electro mechanical logic. Reminds me of knife switch power board from 1939 i worked on.
You should ride on it.
you can by put CAPSTOR 240V between the( #3 + W ) theerd line and any other lines ( 1+V ) or ( 2 + U ) = ( L + 1 + Capstore 1 --- N + 2 --- Capastore 2 + 3 ) . to reverse connect to else line ( L + 1 --- N + 2 + Capstore 1 --- Capastore 2 + 3 ).
7:14 i am brand new to lathes and this video was very helpful. what do you mean engaging feeds at the same time? 1 is to cut threads but what is the 2nd feed for?
Please put steel fenders and a steel hood on the tractor. Plastic cannot be repainted and it definitely doesn’t last 20 years or under the sun without becoming brittle and breaking.
