I have a Harbor Freight towable .. SAME job for 1/2 the price. I move it around my acreage with my golf cart or my small John Deere. I'll stick with My trencher/back hoe..
It may be half price and I’m glad it works well for you! But you can’t beat a tracked excavator for versatility. While these Chinese knock offs may not be the greatest pieces of equipment they are still pretty handy!
Sounds like you need pins and bushings in your machine.
She’s tired. Had a hard life before I got it. I hardly use it anymore it just sits in the shed now. But it sounds worse than it is.
This is Echo from AGT.Thanks you like our excavator and now we did some upgrades such as hydraulic thumb and pilot system .It's much appreciate if you can try to test our new model DM12-C
Hey I’d be glad to test it out
Enough stocks in our Chicago warehouse and welcome to visit our warehouse and test our new models excavator
👍
Still have the machine? Any thoughts to share now?
Nah I sold The machine over a year ago. Honestly it was built to the price point. If you expect a $25,000 machine you will be disappointed. But if you expect a brand new $5-7,000 machine you’ll be happy. It’s cheaply built. The steel Quality is cheap and the controls are a little jerky. But it’s better than a shovel and a rake and if you are mechanically inclined enough to keep an eye on things and repair/maintain it as you use it it’ll work well. It’s not something I would take out on a job site to make a living. But if i needed something around my property and had no other equipment it would be a good Choice
@@AbramsExcavating Fair and expected. Thinking a 1 or 2 ton machine would be helpful in my business. Sounds like a E10, KX008, or even E20 series would be a better idea used for longevity - which I expected, just curious. Thanks!

What’s them welds look like
The video you shot is great, I like it very much, I have subscribed to your account From a professional point of view, this is a 1-ton small excavator and it is not worth the price😂😂😂
Thanks for watching! Oh yea I mean I bought this back when they first showed up and my intention was to buy it make a review and re sell. I bought it for 4500 and sold it for 9000 well over a year ago. But I’d never spend that much on one of these to actually use. You can have a nice kubota or Takeuchi for 12k here and it’s 100x the machine
@@AbramsExcavating You are a smart businessman, I admire you Can I cooperate with you? I am a manufacturer.
@@AbramsExcavating I sent you an email, did you see it? I still look forward to communicating with you and cooperating with you I like your video very much
One of my gripes is lack of tie down points. I ran a chain across the blade but there isn’t anything to grab at the rear of the carriage. I bought some hooks to weld on above the drive motors.
That’s true. There isn’t anywhere to tie down. I think I put the blade behind the machine and then tied down over the boom where it meets the house.
Set fire to the new machine yea baby yea 😂
Hahah that was not the plan!
You start small engines at full throttle. It says it in the manual. There’s no oil pump, so the oil needs to start circulating as fast as possible.
How did you cut the shirt blocks for the corner? I have s corner but it's not a 90. Thanks
I’ll either cut a notch in the bottom And lap the corners or there’s a company here that makes L shape corners. I think this one I cut notches in the bottom
All these mini excavators from auction seem to have water in the tool box?....is it salt water?.....is it anywhere else?
Man, I wish you had a longer video that little motor sounding good😂
I’ll have to get one. I recently re did this truck and she sounds even better now! Really cracks for just a little kitty
@@AbramsExcavating that sounds awesome
All Chinese made stuff is junk. Well if you didn't know every thing you buy in North America has parts produced in China.
Nailed it right there. Theres so many guys that bash a lot of Japanese and Chinese equipment but clearly they haven’t checked out the import sticker that’s on a large portion of all new cat machines… My advice is buy what you like to run and stick with it. They are all junk in one way or another!
did he say $9400?
Just remember this video is over a year old. I bought this machine for 5500 at auction and sold It for $9500. Now you can buy them for like $4500 at auction
I wonder what that tank weighed...
A lot hahah! The ole 080 did not like moving it. I’d guess like 5-7,000lbs. It was a two piece tank however I didn’t want to separate it cause I doubt it would ever re seal properly. The septic company that pumped the tank for me was basically speechless when they saw I moved it with such a little machine.
Love Marley!
Good evening, I'm from Brazil! What model of the directional valve is connected to the hydraulic motor? Thanks!
Hey! Thanks for stopping by, so that directional valve is nothing special. It’s just a one way flow valve. I order my hydraulic parts from supply house.com but you should be able to get one of these valves off amazon. a.co/d/7VWiGQI
Thanks for helping me.@@AbramsExcavating
Gotta get me one of those diesel cans, that's for sure! 🙏
It’s great when they work right hahaha
How do you like Kubota? I'm looking for an excavator now
I own 2. They're freaking amazing machines
Great machine. I’ve got like 4200 hours on it now with next to zero issues.
The grill is upside down. It is symmetrical, so flipping it should be simple.
Why was I recommended your shit video when I was looking for a 1puglife video?
Easy start/ Ether on any engine is a sin, on a new engine is unforgivable 🙈
Yea I know but I didn’t know at the time these engines have a pickup tube in the tank and they need to be “primed” Usually use carb cleaner on gas motors but didn’t have any
Wow never knew those were back in those warehouses
Right?! Never know what you find tucked behind old buildings
Nice. Is that your Dads truck still in action?
Sure is, I went through it last spring and fixed it all up
Glad to see a video, always good content
Thanks for watching! I’ve been wicked busy so I apologise for the lack of videos!
Holy shit that is mega cool. Thanks for letting us get an inside view, also from your operating it. Glad you made profit by cleaning and reselling it.
Yea it was definitely a cool thing to get a chance to own! Never thought I’d ever buy something like that hahah.
I always wanted one of those but can't justify it congratulations hope it makes you money
Thanks! I ended up making a decent profit by cleaning it up and reselling it. Definitely a cool machine, but I really had No practical use for it though
Replace older cats like 955 977 droit.s lest u can see better from front rear engine saver 😊
Sure can they are much better than the older models!
i know this is an older video but is limp mode with the rod/ off set facing towards the engine or towards the outside of the machine
It’s been a little while since I worked on one. But I want to say the rod goes towards the engine for limp mode.
@@AbramsExcavating thanks for the reply i went to look at one to buy and thats where it was at it still seems like it was getting to much fluid wanting to stall and die
Good job brother ❤❤
Thanks!
They’ve gotten cheaper as of late. I’ve seen them around 5k-6k consistently. A great price.
where do you get spare parts for it when something goes wrong? Thanks
Most parts are just common lawnmower engine and hardware. Anything major you are gonna have to either weld and machine yourself or I guess you could try the manufacturer but I’d have to guess you are on your own for the most part.
@@AbramsExcavating ok. Thanks
Can you rearrange the labels on the remote? Because it might be smarter to arrange the buttons in order of function. Eg, top left = table in, middle left = clamp down, bottom left = table out, top right = saw down, middle right = clamp up. Then you only need to press the buttons in order from top left down, top right down. You could also use that spare button to do two functions at once, or connect a latching relay to turn on work lights etc. Also a tip, when you've cut piece, table out an inch first, then clamp down, then finish table out. This will give you a little gap so the wood falls into the splitter section nicely.
Yes you can change the labels on the remote. They sent a huge sheet of different labels. The way I’ve got it set right now flows pretty well. The only thing I mess up once in awhile is the direction of the table. Thanks for the tip! I usually try to inch it back a touch. But at the same time I’m trying to get as long as possible pieces cut since I’m feeding an out door wood boiler. If I was splitting for an indoor stove I would make some sort of guide to keep pieces consistent and that would give me the kerf gap to make the pieces drop out easier. Thanks for watching!
Hi, do you have a manual for this one?
Now you know damn well that thing ain't going to pick up that big ass boulder
That is not a 10k piece of equipment they can be bought for nearly half that at auction there is somebody importing a crap ton of these machines
you realize this video is over a year old? back before everyone and their brother had one haha.
I was curious how you determine the hydraulic fluid quantity. Do you just add enought to make it register fluid on the temperature sight glass on the side of the unit? Awesome review! I really appreciate the effort you put into checking it out...
Thanks! as for the hydraulic oil yes you generally just add oil til it shows on the sight glass.
@AbramsExcavating I figured but instructions are lame...
You should have the blade on the ground behind you so it doesn't Rock back like that.
Blade out front is the best way for stabilizing.
Music ruins tractor videos!!!!!!!!
Monster ready to work :p
I was looking for reviews on these mini excavators and came across yours and have to say you are damn smooth operating that little machine for not being used to the controls. I have been looking at the Lanty which looks close to this machine. They are just available close by to me. Thanks for the good honest review.
Thank you! I wouldn’t say I’m ambidextrous on the controls but over the years I’ve been in enough Situations where I have to run controls I’m not used to! Glad the video was helpful to you! I had fun making it!
@@AbramsExcavating Sure was helpful. I am bidding on a new one right now. We will see how it goes..
It will take u an HR tops to simply swap 4 hoses and u will have pattern you noted u prefer.
I just bought same machine and recently swapped 4 hoses to convert to JD backhoe or SAE controls / I guess all Chinese units are sent over with ISO or Cat controls ??
Is it possible to get one running Deere controls?
I don’t know, but you can switch the hydraulic hoses rather easily to make it run in Deere controls. It’s just a matter of switching 4 hose
