Just another great tune on the road that Fallout sent me down.

Quality is SOO bad.

I'm reading the "The Last Convertible ". It mentions this song and many others from the 1940s. I Google and listen to these songs to get into the era of that time. It makes me feel like I am right there with the characters of that era before, during, and after the war.

Btw, it’s not actually an Etta James song. Her version is most well known, but it’s actually from the 40’s originally. Done by Glenn Miller and his Orchestra with vocals by John Payne and Lynn Bari.

What a wonderful man, glorious music and at age 75 still takes me back to a much more pristine time...and my wonderful parents.

THANKS FOR POSTING. Most folks don't understand that the title of this song, is telling the dancers to BEGIN DANCING A CERTAIN DANCE. ((the BEGUINE is the name of a dance step.)) Listening to Glenn Miller, Glen Grey, Benny Goodman, Kid Orey, Fletcher Henderson and ole "Satchel-Mouth" he was called, because of the hugh size of his mouth when he would lean his head back and beller...later years they shortened it to what he's known by, now, "Satch-Mo" Louis Armstrong, and Benny Goodman's bass player started a band and ended up as a TV actor and movie star, JACKIE GLEASON. Big band was everywhere, after Glenn Miller kicked it off. Tgen Benny Goodman got in with Kid Orey on the Lake Boats and picked up his New Orleans style base of his music. Tgen Benny got with Fletcher Henderson and was doing his arrangements. Ben Pollack helped along and Gene Krupa, one of THE best drummers, got with Benny Goodman for a bunch of years and branched out in his own with his own band. That's a lot of history in one short comment. Glenn & Benny were the catalyst that stirred the instruments into, "that special sound," and the rest is history! It sure beats the racket of today!
