The zip ties was a really smart solution.
Just put my thread lock on 😃 hope this works. Also is your still holding with the thread lock?
I'm tightening it from time to time.
For future reference So someone got me the wrong allan hex and it screwed up the screw scraping it up. My original hex was conveniently found shortly after so I'm really sad how i could have avoiding it. Where can i get a replacement for that? Its the screw that goes directly above the axel of thw wheel. I am sure i can remove the screw using different methods available but I'm worried i may not be able to replace it. Any ideas? I could maybe send it for repair but i imagine they may require me to put it in the box and it seems inconvenient
Ali Express has all of the stuff. I was concerned about not finding a replacement tyre (easily) and then AE just came to mind and most of it is available for the P100. As I said below, it's all metric measurements, so don't strip anything else!
@@jivefool1040 anywhere else? Specifically for the part?
can you provide a link to where you bought your tires from - i need the same tires for my p100s
a.aliexpress.com/_mMTKTRG
So my p100 has shaking back tire and the breaks are making scratching sounds, how do I fix?
Tie all four nuts that are on both arms that are holding the wheel. After that set up your braking mechanism in such a way that breaking pads parallel to the breaking disk, have even gaps on both sides of the disk, and catch the disk when you press the brakes.
@@oleksiiivasiuk thank you so much I will try this!
@@Builder74-shorts Use metric NOT imperial Allen keys and sockets or you'll strip bolts!
@@Builder74-shorts Since I can't edit my original reply, I'll go further in this message: To tighten the nuts and bolts, I already said use metric tools. Also, check the wheels every once in a while for wobble which will mess with the brakes. If you're concerned about loosening, apply Permatex threadlocker to the nuts and bolts. Some say blue, but orange is better, tighter and removable without hydraulic tools.
I have to same problem. Also do you know how to fix the disk break scratching against the one of the break pads?
Breaking disk sketching breaking pad for the same reason - screw is loose and one side of arm that holding wheel is crooked. If you tighten the screw and make sure everything is even - the disk will not touch the pad.
@@oleksiiivasiuk omg thank you so much!
Hi, may I ask, how long have you had this scooter for? I’m thinking of buying it, do you recommend it? Thanks!
I have it for almost a year now. I made 2000 miles on it. In general it shows good speed performance and comfort to use. The only weak part in design is that back shock absorption axle. It constantly gets loose and because of that the breaking disk goes crooked and sanding the braking pad. Only because of that I do not recommend it.
Does this work for the Segway P65?
Sure.
I weigh 115kg. Do you recommend me to buy P100S ?
For sure. My weight is 100kg and my backpack with tools is another 35 Kg. Sometimes I take two backpacks. This scooter could pool up to 200Kg. It's just draining the battery more.
Lol
you have to buy a new lock nut i tried locktite and came loose again.
Howdy?. that's unreal picture!bye.
1600 Miles * 1.6 = 2560 KM. But it depends on your driving habits. I drive in sport mode all the time.
Me too. I have the P 65 E
How many kilometers did you have with the old tire?
2500 Km
Merci ❤
Feels great huh. I myself let out a loud powerfull fuck yea upon first landing. Did not stop practising after. Good luck in this wonderfull journey
have you tried velocidrone simulator? the android app is really good if you don't have a PC.
It's happened to mine too after a few hundred km. Have you found a final fix?
My back fender fell-off that's why I just installed two thick washers instead and used blue paste for the nuts threads.
any update ?
Apparently yes on Reddit :)
Lol I just did the same ...we should all sue segway and get our money 💰 back
Weak point of the design of the vehicle.
the chinese are useless with proper assembly!!
Hey, does anyone know where to find tire for this electric scooter?
I found some on AliExpress website. a.aliexpress.com/_mtWve98
A sring washer can be helpful too. Also avoids it.A very old remedy.
SAME THERE ,2 times with the segway support already
Any Update?
It's working.
Did this fix it for you? About to try this fix out
Yes, it working for me. I make 180 miles since then and it still holding it.
Any updates?
It didn't last long. But now I bought blue pasta and put it on threads so it is holding the screw for 100 miles now.
Brother it has a poly nut u need to just replace the nut have fun with the read locker 😂
Говно короче а не самокат. Ясно. Понятно
I'm having the same issue as you. I'm putting red Loctite for the last try before I send it back to Segway.
I used red loctite like 4 times and it didnt work. You have to use blue i think.
For almost a 2000 EUR scooter, the build quality is absolute junk. I have the same issues on both wheels. The nuts won't stay tight no matter how much I secure them. The whole thing starts to rattle after every 50 km. This scooter is going back. It's not safe to ride and it's a disgrace that Segway put something like this out into the market.
I got the same issue. thanks for sharing. Happened around 450 miles...
It's best to buy a new nut. I had the same junk nut with the blue nylon. Where did you find replacement brake pads?
www.decathlon.com/products/btwin-shimano-slx-xt-xtr-disc-brake-pads-117955?adept-product=btwin-shimano-slx-xt-xtr-disc-brake-pads-117955&variant=1514811817997&adept_product_id=btwin-shimano-slx-xt-xtr-disc-brake-pads-117955&source=search
what nut should I buy? do you have any amazon links?
@@howthech Hillman brand at Home Depot or Lowes. "Insert lock nut nylon class 8". You'll have to find the right size, also pick up some nylon washers too. I've had to inspect and retighten all the locking nut at some or another, especially at the rear location. I replaced the right side suspension locking nut on the front brake caliper side awhile ago and haven't an issue with that so far. My advice is to replace any locking nut that will not stay tightened, also using some Locktight product.
Yep, you have check the torque on all the suspension nuts. My front suspension got a rattle and the rear fender became loose. Tightening the the nuts fixed all the issues. Hint, use a nylon wasker where the fiber one was. When I inspected the rear nuts, I only removed the nut cap to access the nut using an open end wrench.
Hello do you have a link to buy brakes pads please ?
I get them from here: www.decathlon.com/products/btwin-shimano-slx-xt-xtr-disc-brake-pads-117955?adept-product=btwin-shimano-slx-xt-xtr-disc-brake-pads-117955&variant=1514811817997&adept_product_id=btwin-shimano-slx-xt-xtr-disc-brake-pads-117955&source=search
it happened to me too it is a common problem it will do it again unless you add locktite to the bolt.
I will try that.
Thank you for this video. I have the same issue with my p100s. There was a brocken carbon washer under the nut on brakes side and significant backlash. So, tighten the nuts fixes this issue.
You need a box end wrench 15 and 16 (different sizes on both sides)
какой пробег? будет продолжение?
350 Miles. But I think I damaged it when walking downstairs in the subway without lifting it. I'm gonna shoot a new video if there is something else that happens.
