i like this album so much <3 Their new line up is a perfect match, Sakura is one of the best female guitarists i've heard so far. JUNNA is also a top notch drummer. Guess they should let Sayaka shine a little more with bass solos as well. Nagi has a beautiful and powerful voice. It's a pure pleasure to listen to them

Never listened to Hagane before they released MV for Tenka Goken, then i saw JUNNA there on drums, that was more than enough to hook me xD After that checked other songs, to be honest, i like their new sound way more, hope that the band can grow huge with the current line up, it would be amazing journey 🔥🔥🔥

I just wish certain aspects of the idol world would be even a tiny bit more welcoming to an international audience. It's not like they are hostile it's just the international audience isn't even considered, and Trysail is definitely in that part of the idol world. I would have had no idea about this group without my previous treks through the idol scene and stumbling on their The First Take appearance. There's just so much good music going on in that scene for it all to be isolated to Japan.

I think their playing ability is very talented, but we need a good American music producer. It's like eating hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, and pasta together.

This new lineup is so _together_ already, so "on the same page." Yeah, you'd expect Sakura and Sayaka to have that kind of musical understanding, but the speed with which the Sayaka/Junna rhythm section has gelled is amazing. Of course, having _that_ level of talent doesn't hurt. Obviously not in evidence on this track, but Nagi has blended in rapidly, too, and that's a real accomplishment given her rookie status. Her very first band...but you'd never know it.

"Next song is song Zero" For whatever reason this intro in English by Hettsu at some gig they played in Japan will be stuck in my head for life lol Would have been my favorite from the EP as well, except there is one more track, which is well... see ya at the next video 😁

I would have liked vocals on this one as Nagi is new to us and I want to hear more of her. We did get more of Sayaka on bass though. I think you should also check out the other half of Hagane in their band Mana Diagram to make things fair. They released an EP shortly after Hagane called Light of the Destiny.

this lineup is pure fire. junna is an absolute phenom. i hope they go long and far. i'm having no luck buying this 5 song cd. amazon only lets you buy it in mp3 - cd japan lists it as a single song cd - probably just that one song - and jpu records from the uk - which advertises itself as having great new music from japan does not even list it - or any other hagane cd.

The five tracks are good, even the opener and the instrumental.

Hanabie = Harajukucore = 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Loving you, is easy cos… I had never made that leap before. lol When Matsuri gives you a solo, which is about twice so far, it does exactly what you want and need. She is a genius and no mistake.

Around 2004 or so, just as LOVE JAM was released. - And I loved this song from LOVE COOK. - Is a song this old, yet this impactful considered a classic? -I think so. - This is a great version too. A lovely slant on a great song. So much talent, so influential too. TY for covering this 1ST TAKE version.

I'm still trying to get my head around this album. Each listen revealing more and more... Which is a delight to discover on repeated plays. - I have to say though that Natsumi is really giving us a lot to enjoy with her drumming. - She's got a great ear for the song, keeping the beat going with so many little tricks and fills and runs all through the album. / this song will certainly feel epic performed live, with the crowd lapping it up. / TY for giving it the exposure it richly deserves. Bridear really are going places, building on the success of their previous work. - I already have tickets to see them live again, nx year. - Already hyped!

I do think Junna fits this style of music better. I always looked forward to seeing and hearing her play, but I always felt Asaka and Serina were trying ro keep pace with her. Sakura can easily keeps pace with Junna. I like the additional backing vocals Hagane is now using. I liked most of the old songs, even Supervillan. What I didn't like about Supervillan was the tone of the guitars.

Another favorite of mine! I like how it balances the heavier and lighter parts, kind of like the title track. I love that one slightly dissonant chord in the chorus; it's a nice bit of tension and even grandiosity. Lots of nice touches throughout. I guess the ending could've gone a bit 'bigger', but I like that it revisits the riff from after the first chorus. Agreed on the songwriting. I think it's a mark of the Bridear songs I like the most, that always have something to look forward to in different sections.

Very good song, but the best (for me) on the EP comes at the end.

Otsuka Ai songs are part of our core youth memory. All the songs that you've mentioned are still on my playlist. 😎✨️❤

Have listened to the album a few times. Indidually the thr tracks are good, but I miss the more varied approach Bridear had in recent albums, this album is heavier throughout. As for Empty Mind, I actually like the woh-oh woh-oh bit at the end - it's a great earworm - in fact I keep wanting to singalong to it all through the track. (OK it's cheesy and been done before - but it works.)

The more I listen to this album, the more I hear tons of refinements - very well composed and arranged. For me the standing musician here is Natsumi, shes drives the song with her fantastic groove. Empty Mind is in my top 5 songs from this album.

Bridear really did a great job with this album. This one reminds a little bit like their song Determination in the vocal delivery.

If you look at writing first and foremost, I'd recommend checking out Azalea and Red Wine. All 5 of the ladies co-wrote the lyrics, and the songs are driven by emotion and experience.

They've been playing Ghost Mania a lot on the current tour (I think all three shows I went to had it in the setlist) and it sounds much better live because their vocals are so much better six years later. They started playing it to accommodate whoever is the guest vocalist from the other band they played with during their 2-man tour in Japan in the beginning of the year and just kept it in I guess. The other singer would take Yojiro's part (the ending with the headbanging riff lol), but in Europe Yukina would just sing the whole thing herself.

In the last three years they have released at least 6 title tracks with mvs. Usually every 6 months. They are unique and are always experimenting and evolving in their sound.

This one is good.

I watched Zen live by Nemophila last night and this illustrates why I am lukewarm to it, even though people rave about how brilliant and “heavy” it is - it doesn’t have enough “musical” elements in it. It doesn’t have an actual melody. This is why Hanabie are winning, Matsuri always makes sure the track has something musically soothing in it, or something really catchy. She is a tiny genius with the biggest sound in Japan right now.

The drummer has the best smirk in rock.

Imho the "Oo lalala" would've gotten old fast if used for more than the bookends. In fact I think it would have been better to only have three repetitions instead of four at the beginning, with the added bonus of being a classic Band-Maid timing twist. But after a week to wrap my head around it, I really like the song.

Asterism and Manga artist Acky Bright first met at Anime Expo 2023 in LA. They knew about each others work before, the chemistry was there and so they decided to do a colab together. The result is the "Planet of Metal" EP, which is a concept album. The idea is, that they are 3 super heroes arriving at the Planet of Metal. A villain has cursed the planet and they have to fight 6 enemies to bring back peace again. Each enemy is a track on the album (the Dragon, the Ninja, the Squid etc.) And the Titan is like the final boss. I like this album a lot, reminds me of their pure instrumental days, although there are vocal parts here and there. My favorite is the Zombie, which could aswell fit onto their brilliant Guernica+a album. Anyway, I'm going to Japan Expo in Paris tomorrow and am very excited to see them live for the first time ever. One of my all time favorite band 🙂
