That's pretty crazy Chevys too cheap now to put an actual dipstick in there to let you monitor the level and also check to see if the clutches are burned or not. Leave it to Chevy. But at least they held on to their V8 in their cargo vans up until this year unless you get a passenger van or a cutaway van. With that said I'm getting a 2023 with a 6.6 l.. hopefully with less than 5 k on the clock.

When you first started on the right side just below the glove compartment. On that carpet type covering you had to remove just under the glove compartment, was there a little white arrow pointing up??? I ask because I will be using an XHorse Key Tool Max Plus to obtain my PIN number to program new key fobs , for a 2018 Ram 1500 Big Horn. I ordered the 12+8 bypass cables. I have read numerous articles & seen numerous videos as well showing the FCA black box in numerous locations on the 2018 Ram 1500 . Some show the left side by the steering column, some show behind the radio, some show on the right and some show behind the dashboard. I really don’t want to tear apart my truck looking for it. I just want to know if that little white arrow gives the location or if you seen it.

Was this a transmission replacement or a filter change?

Had a real hard time with the shaky video and the sped up parts

The owners manual actually tells you to open it manually if the switch doesn't work. It tells you to "unsnap and remove the panel in the rear cargo area. Pull the handle outward". That's it. That's all it said. What?? What handle? There's no handle in there? I tried and tried to figure out what could possibly be the handle to which they were referring. I never saw a handle and came to the conclusion that someone else had tried it before me and broke the handle off. The manual never mentioned a cable and, unfortunately, the cable was sitting in a spot that made it difficult to see. Didn't matter, I wasn't looking for a cable. I was looking for a handle. After all but giving up I came back inside and opened up CZcams and yours was the first video I saw. After watching it I walked back outside and had it open in seconds. Thank you so, so much!!

Help me understand. I must of missed something, you took out 3 quarts but had to pump in 10 quarts. Is that right? Have you had any issues since this was serviced? Thanks

Do not have to tear all that apart only have to pull left trim panel on bottom side of glove box corner closest to center counsel and can see the box and plug in

That smaller battery is for the Auto start/stop system.

Hey men you know the torque pressure for each bolt or you just make it as tight as you feel

I have a 2021 3500 HD Dually with the 6.6 liter Gas and 6L90 trans. It also has no dipstick.

Can you just overfill it and let the excess come out by itself? Isn’t there some kind of vent on it that purges excess fluid?

Damn what a stupid idea.....I have a 16 with the 4.8L....i have no idea how to get rear transmission pan bolts out. The damn exhaust is nearly on top of it, I thought my 04 was bad. These are commercial vehicles that need this service done often....to not install a drain plug on the pan is criminal.

Watching you have to go through all this BS makes me even more thankful I didn't just take the 4.3 V6/8 spd that my dealer had on the lot when I bought my van.. It was definitely worth the wait to get the 6.0 V8/6 spd.. so much simpler with a dipstick lol
