A Veteran Installs a Ring Floodlight | No Electrical Box — No problem
Do you have a wall electrical outlet? Well I have a solution. I wanted this particular device higher and with constant power.
I don’t know what I’m doing. This is not electrical advice. Consult with a certified electrician. CZcams Certified doesn’t count, but that depends on who you ask.

A Veteran Applies Boiled Linseed Oil to an M1 Garand Stock Over 3 Days
zhlédnutí 23KPřed 2 lety
The application of boiled linseed oil to M1 Garand stock over 3 days and a brief installation of a USGI sling, although self explanatory; adjust as needed. *Thank you everyone who provided me with advice, and recommendations, as far as applying some type oil to the wood stock (I honestly did not know any of this) all my previous stuff are synthetic, which implies my first rifle with a wooden st...

Unboxing a Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) M1 Garand Springfield Armory. As a philosophy major, the love for #history comes as a second nature. Luckily for me, my commanding officer (wife) got me this piece of history for my 35th birthday. Thank you @TheODCMP for honoring my birthday with this. Y’all made a veteran very happy. The United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA): Hey! You ...

The D/S headlights required the most attention, but it made sense to touch up on all of them for obvious reasons. The application was straight forward and everything you needed for the job was supplied all in the box, with exception of “elbow grease”. It was a fun little project, although not necessary. @Cerakote Purchase on Amazon: amzn.to/342qiw4 #veteran #headlightrestoration #headlights #he...
A Veteran Restores an Old Bed Frame & Gives Guestroom a Makeover | DIY

I am very grateful to have received this second hand bed frame, however I couldn't entirely agree on how it appeared. So, I gave it a makeover with a few modifications to give it a more modern look. Complete bed frame restoration, paired with a vintage light fixture and matching curtains gave this empty guestroom the treatment that it needed for all under $100 including supplies, but not with t...

The Ring Doorbell pro has night vision, but I decided to add a spotlight for extra visual clarity and an additional deterrent system. I also secured the spotlight to a curtain rod bracket with zip-ties and fastened a screw in the center of the spotlight mount as an extra precaution against theft. Lastly, I installed a ring lightbulb in the yard that I might tether to activate once the spotlight...
A Veteran Relocates a Ring Doorbell Pro Wired | DIY

Ordered a Ring Doorbell Pro from Ring.com and discovered that the included hardware was ineffective. I contacted Ring and requested that they send me a wedge mount kit so that I would be able to properly install my Ring Doorbell Pro, but they gave me the finger instead. Also, I searched on amazon for wedge kits, but I didn't like what I found, so I devised a solution. I am not a professional an...

I am a vet but not a retiree or active, does my time in the Army check the marksmanship activity and club requirement boxes?
Always a good idea. The parts next to metal parts and inside also need the Linseed oil as well. Too much of the oil on the metal parts will smoke under heavy fire so breaking the A1 into the basic sections to oil the stock has merit. Good job. She looks great.
be super careful with the rags. linseed oil creates heat as it dries.
Should have just replaced that outside light that's already wired with cam. Angle is still wide enough to see everything and lights can be manually turned on.
Absolutely gorgeous ❤️❤️👍👍🇺🇸
How much did it cost you?
Did you strip the wood on it before hand? Also any sanding? Or just got the cmp stock and went to work?
Appreciate the time you took to make this video, but I must say that with $20 extra dollars spent you could have done this the correct way, and without so many code violations, and saved yourself drilling and sealing it back up. Once I saw that you had an existing light only feet away from this camera placement, all my explanations of "this could be why they're doing it this way" went out the window.
That's horrible workmanship. And why even put a camera if a intruder can just unable it be disconnecting the power cord?🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻
So Beautiful!!!
Very NOICE Scott 👍🏼🥃🇺🇸
Best Military rifle ever !
Beautty
Sorry thumbs down. Narration is a must.
Looks great, I was wondering on taking down to the wood stock itself. I have a Service grade I got 7 years ago, and love the patina and just order an CMP Expert w/ new wood and barrel. I am still debating on not taking down and whipping or take down and do this in the computer room.
When I got my Garand 50 years ago the stock had cosmoline over all of it from handling. I used Gojo hand cleaner and 4o steel wool to clean it. I of course removed the stock parts to clean it. Then over the next two weeks I hand rubbed many coats of boiled linseed oil into it. Using the heat from friction of rubbing to open the pores of the wood and letting it soak in overnight. Then repeated it again and again.
So, I have an M1 that im wanting to apply some BLO to, for stock protectant etc, but im not sure how to go about doing it. Do i need to strip the wood? Or do i just apply the oil to the stock over whatever else was used before? And do you have any advice/tips for me?
Yeah.....i'm gonna have to get one for my 35th B-day too. Wonderful video.
Can you come mount mines
That is one beautiful weapon OMG, enjoy Sir..
Sir I have a small doubt in a camera there three wires, which one is phase and which one is neutral, can u describe in a colour
Beautiful firearm! Semper Fi!
Super nice M1 Garand and case. Makes me want to take mine to the range tomorrow.
No offense, but if you are trying to learn how to do a proper finish, you will need a video with words and not one of those sham wow type cloths. Music is nice though and so is the rifle.
Il fucile più bello del mondo ❤
Did you do any sanding prior to applying the first coat? Or between coats?
Great Vid, I was thinking of relocating from inside the house but this is way easier and more convenient
Well done Sir. Thanks for the tutorial.
NEC code violation!
The time to buy a CMP M1 was 25 years ago. $500. Selection was unlimited.
Très belle arme légendaire. 👍❤
So as a criminal, should I cut the wire or just unplug it?
u can turn off the Circuit breaker outside. No need to worry about electric shock :-)
Awesome tool
I'm not gonna lie, that's a beautiful rifle.
Sheese, another one. Take the barreled receiver OUT of the stock for this. And also treat the inside of the stock especially in the forearm channel... AND inside the butt plate both of which are at least (AT LEAST) as important as doing the outside of the stock. This practice applies to EACH - BLO, RLO, and PTO.
Huh, looks like CZcams has been relaxing it's policy on people posting straight up porn hahaha. That's a very nice example- a CMP special grade is high on my list. Hope you're enjoying it regularly!
thank you for your service
Beautiful. Always wanted one. Want to sell it ??? 😎👍🇺🇸
That's amazing.
It should be “how not to wire floodlights” 🤣
By all means, please enlighten me.
I have a CMP M-1 also. It is part of warfare history and I hope to compliment it with a '03 Springfield and an M-14 to complete the family.
I found one for sale from the same company today at $2500. Is that a good price?
LIKE CHRISTMAS WHEN YOU OPEN A BOX FROM CMP WITH A M1 IN IT! ESPECALLY WHEN YOU ORDER ONE AND HAVE NOT SEEN IT !
Congratilations! The m1 is an iconic weapon. (from Brazil)
What did you use to fill the hole and cover it to match the house?
thanks. I was looking for the same tutorial.
I like it a lot. I didn't know what to do, but you gave me the best idea. Does your ring get hit by the rain hard. should I put clauk everywhere water goes in. Just wonder because here it rain super hard.
Beautiful! I saw a small gouge on the handguard at 2:27 You might want to tell CMP about that, they may replace it. The wood is supposed to be new.
I'm a vet too and the M1 was my drill weapon in boot camp. I put off buying one from CMP for years and recently sold my M1 Carbine at a gun show and picked up a Garrand at the same show. It appears to be a CMP build in .308 and I'm working on verifying that through Anniston. Nice case but I'm disappointed that the stock set wasn't oiled.
A bad guy can just unplug it though, correct? Probably best to run the cable through PVC or metal conduit to protect it from the sun. At the end of the day it works.
Plug runs into a receptacle with a lock box. Bad guys would need to get pass a few other cams, which are higher and wires aren’t exposed, before getting a chance to disrupt this cam. A conduit is a good idea, although I’ll have to wait until it gets warmer outside.
