Disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling a Ruger 10/22 Mag (no music)
Here's a video walkthrough on how to disassemble, clean, and reassemble a Ruger 10/22 rotary magazine.
This video is identical to my earlier video on the subject, only the overly-loud background music has been removed. The original video is accessible at czcams.com/video/ek4_iFVoKdo/video.html

Easter Sunday Machine Gun Shoot - 2007
zhlédnutí 21KPřed 17 lety
Some people relax on Easter Sunday by going to church. Mike, Rob, and I decided to shoot machine guns instead. Full-auto guns: IMI Uzi (pre-86 sample), Frankford Arsenal/Olympic Arms M16 (transferable), Calvary Arms M16 (post-86 sample), Glock with happy switch (custom-built post-86 sample). Silencers: Gem-Tech Mossad II (Uzi), Yankee Hill Machine (M16), and others. Explosives: Tannerite. All f...
Roanoke, Virginia Machine Gun Shoot - 2005

I found this video in my folder of "fun" videos. I wasn't there, nor participated in the shoot, but it sure looks like these folks were having a good time. I like the fact that these people have their families, guns, and probably a BBQ going on. If I could afford the guns and ammo, this looks like my idea of the "perfect Saturday". Note: the audio appears to have been automatically removed by C...
Silencer Testing
zhlédnutí 84KPřed 17 lety
In March 2007, myself and several friends went out to the desert to shoot. I brought along my Ruger 10/22 and my new Gem-Tech Outback II silencer for some testing. Noise reduction with the silencer was significant, and it was pleasant enough to fire without hearing protection. This is just a small clip of the shooty goodness we had that day. The full video, including unsuppressed shooty goodnes...

Here's a video walkthrough on how to disassemble, clean, and reassemble a Ruger 10/22 rotary magazine. Note: The music is too loud. Sorry. I know. It didn't seem as loud on my system when I made the video in 2007 and there's no way to edit it now. Please do *not* leave comments about the music being too loud; any such comments will be removed. If the music bothers you, you can view the same vid...

Me firing a Ruger Mark II 22/45 pistol with a Gem-Tech Outback II suppressor. This is a video response to a video of it being fired unsuppressed. Compare the significant noise reduction (the manual states a 39dB reduction). Ammo used is CCI Standard Velocity, which is subsonic.

Another video of me shooting a Ruger Mark II 22/45 pistol with a Gem-Tech Outback II suppressor. Ammo used is CCI Standard Velocity, which is subsonic. Gem-Tech says the can is supposed to reduce noise by 39dB

A friend of a friend (I seem to have forgotten his name) takes my Browning M1919 out for a spin. Sadly, I lack a tripod, so an ammo can and a sandbag must suffice. It'll do for now. This video also shows off the excellent tin-can range at the Los Altos Rod and Gun Club in Los Altos, California.

Terry's on the left shooting a Schmidt-Rubin K31 rifle which belongs to Dwane, who's shooting the Browning M1919 (which belongs to me). Both are WWII-era guns, the K31 being made by the Swiss, and the M1919 being made by the Americans, later sold to the Israeli military, returned to the United States, and converted to semi-auto.

Big hello from Northern Ireland UK 🇬🇧 . Thanks for taking the time to explain this so concisely and plainly. I hate videos that go on for half an hour before the person actually gets to the subject. This is the best video in the subject I have come across. 👍

Is that really 9/64ths?? My wrench doesn't fit, it's even worse than the barrel band screw...Why are these screws made so badly?

Brandenburg Concerto No 3(Allegro) - and it is NOT too loud ! I listen to Bach much louder when gunsmithing. Great tips on the magazine - I should have watched it yesterday before the "mistakes were made"

FYI..if you have a older, Version 1 ? original design? rotary magazine with the ultra small Allen head disassembly screw , that screw should be a 5/64ths ... I know... I have 2 of the old design.

I tried counting the 8 notches clockwise during reassembly. Then test firing the rifle it started jamming. I then watched the Brownell video that advises turning 2 to 3 turns. I loosened up the magazine to where I retightened about 2 1/2 turns. Now the rifle fires as it should, reliably without jamming. To turn 2 1/2 times, using my fingers to turn, I used a 7/16" socket and while holding tension on the socket I inserted a small screwdriver into the socket to aid in seating the nut . I was able to do this quite easily.

Hi all! If the loudness of the music bothers you, please see the music-free video at czcams.com/video/x0CsX1lNquI/video.html - please do not comment complaining about the music, such comments will be removed. I recorded this video over a decade ago and didn’t know much about video editing then. I can’t change the volume of the music after it’s been “baked in” to the movie. Thank you.

All we need is the old Bell &Howell projector sound effect in the background! LOL . You're probably too young to have had film projectors in the classroom, but us old timers sat through many of those films. I got a real kick out of your video. And seriously thank you for the video, very well done and informative! I just got a 10/22 with this magazine, and read the instructions , your video makes it easier to understand. BTW the music is a cool touch. the whole thing is great, fun to watch.
