This is an amazing 90 mins, however, his set from Creamfields ‘98 to this day is one of the I’ve ever heard. When the broadcast switches from Sasha to Oakey, Tong does the intro and it goes straight into the sledging beats of El Nino, an absolutely goosebumps moment.

You cannot overstate just how massive Oakenfold was back in the late 90’s. I remember listening to this live and still have the SA90 tape in a box in the garage. What a time we had back then, never to be repeated.

the way that last track opens and closes is a perfect example of what I loved most about that early 00's era Progressive. Low and deep Bass Line with a touch of tribal house and great Rhythm. Awesome mix and track selection but the 1st and Last Tracks are really on a Higher Level

This one a big one. I came into the scene in 98, when I moved to a city for school, coming from a small town. I didn't know it at the time, but I was lucky to be smack dab in the middle of this era. I became best friends with the djs, and remember how much awesome music just kept coming out. It just seemed normal, and like it would never end. I vividly remember what a big deal not only this set was, but also the ensuing tour Sasha and Digs did. Djs hadn't toured like a band like this before. Every track in this set is a classic. 2002 was the peak for underground rave culture and music in North America. It would be have been impossible to predict but only a few years later, the sound would change. Dubstep, and harder drugs turned everything dark. I for one had a really hard time with it, as my identity was interconnected to the rave scene. This set should be required listening for anyone interested in the history.
