I trained with the t birds! Broke my hand in practice up in Sylmar and quit before the first TV show taping. They wouldn't pay my ER bill. They were paying the veteran skaters much higher than the newbies. The weeded thru the people that didn't have any nerve. Training was brutal. Long wind sprints around the oval track in line with the other skaters. I destroyed a new pair of Riddell speed skates in a few months. It was an honor to be coached by Ralphie Vallardares. We trained on the original oval track with boards. The screws used to come up from all the pressure. You were screwed if you slid across one. After watching the TV show it would have been fun, although one dude I skated with split his forehead open during one of the games. I was lucky to get out with a broken hand. Much like WWF, if you wanted to go over the rail, you could, but you'd pay the price soon as you hit the concrete floor. I played guitar on one of the rollergame songs. www.toonsthatrock.com

Lita is a legend, but she seems out of place up untill she picks that gituar up , then she comes really alive , i watch her in the Runaways she drove that band , i can see the producer in the late 1970s yelling at Lita " stop headbanging " so funny !
