I’ve been eating gf for 15 years since being diagnosed with celiac. I heard about the autoimmune protocol about seven years ago and tried that. I felt even better after a couple months and lost weight. I’ve pretty much followed that 99% since. Occasionally I’ll have a gf pizza but still avoid tomato sauce and nightshades. I don’t have a problem eating this way. I just eat simple meals of meat, veggies, and fruit. Recently I reintroduced beans, rice, and gf oats and have had no issues but my cycling FTP has dropped from 205 to 170. So, maybe something is going on.

its all bullshit to keep people in line. its just about making money. most of the people with crohns need butyrate eventually some enzymes with bile and a lowcarb diet without the binge eating. i learned that butyrate producing bacteria can die off but you can bring them back with molecular hydrogen. hydrogen is the fuel for butyrate producing bacteria. and hydrogen gets produced through the fermentation of fiber but there are also people who dont ferment them to that. they just produce methane.

Insoluble fibre causes constipation for me. I have a question: in 2021 and this year precancerous polyps were detected through colonoscopies . Are my symptoms still ibs related or caused by these polyps? Looking forward to more research on the role of the microbiome in ibs. Thanks, miss Reimara

Thank you for summarize it didactically. Glad to find it. Better way to approach a preventive and therapeutical diet to chronic diseases and them people can do individual modifications. I think it’s better way to address the flexitarian diet with really benefits. Japan: they used to eat lot of soy, however fermented… It makes a diference. The soy has lot of pro estrogen. Should be observed. Something to be take in account as well, because it affect weight. Some Keto Diets could not attend the anti-inflammatory score but the protocol has important and decisive effect in some neurological diseases, in limited period. Maybe they should try to adapt… We have to watch it better Genetic response always will have interferences as well.

Why do we still blame saturated fat as the source of all evil?? Dairy, full of saturated has been proven to have reduce risk of cvd and is well received by many its patients. So is coconut oil. Great point is the pro inflammatory effect of artifical sweeteners and ultra processed food. Great insights about anti-inflammatory diets. It shows that there is much more to learn about the effects of individual foods and dietary patterns on inflammation. Thank you, Dr. TAMARA
