hardly black in colour, violet more like it
Really helpful, thank you. Your other video about how to care for agapanthus doesn't seem to have a Comment facility, so I just want to say here that your advice about the importance of feeding agapanthus in autumn, when the new buds are forming, is really useful. Most other websites advise to stop feeding them after flowering.
Really useful, thank you. My only quibble is that by the time my agapanthus plants, which are all in ceramic pots, look like they need repotting, it is impossible to get them out without breaking the pots.
No tips for this I'm afraid, just be careful!
Can I plant.the larger ones in May in So Ga..USA?
As long as they are well watered in through the summer months.
I THOUGHT YOU HAD TO TAKE PLANT OUT OF PLANTER & I LINE .MINE IN PLASTIC WITH 2 PUNCH HOLES FOR DRAIN
No need to take your plants from the liner. As simple as it says ‘pop plant’. Leave the plants as established in the liner and pop into your chosen container. You’ll see the bottom of the container has cleverly been designed with holes where the roots will feel their way through to fresh compost. We recommend you feed like you would any other bedding plants. The ‘pop plants’ take away the hassle of planning your basket or container.
Thank you for sharing, from Spore ! May i know where can i get The Agapantus plant food you showed at previous video ?
This is our own plant food, I'm sorry but we only ship to the UK
I wish u would had gone into the pla to names. I was very interested in the one you were sitting next to with the light leavers
The Agapanthus is Silver Moon
Thank you, planting two in our garden right now
Great find! Really great info, thank you for making the video and wonderful delivery. 😊
My friend told me that the reason my agapantha weren't blooming is because I have them in the Border. She said they would Bloom much better if they were rootbound in pots. Is that true ---do I need to have my agapanthus in containers?
Hello Brandi - no this is not the case. Please see our fact sheet on how to grow and get the best from your Agapanthus. fairweathers.co.uk/how-to-grow-agapanthus/
@@FairweathersGarden thank you ever so much.. now I know exactly what to do

Is september de beste tijd om te splitsen?
Evergreens - yes. If they can be put in a frost free greenhouse, if not then in spring. Deciduous types are better in spring
Thank you.
Exactly what I needed to know - thank you.
Hi, is that 'silver moon'(white, variegated leaves) in the center background, from 0:48
Yes it is!
@@FairweathersGarden is it available in USA...I'm in southern California?
Brasil lindooo👋👋🌷
I wonder if you can assist me. I live in France Loire Valley so at present it is winter going into spring. I bought today the 5 Agapanthus bulb sets. I have not opened the plastic bag but inside it looks like a mass of roots in the soil and I can see 2 white shoots. Can you tell me should I leave them in their plastic bag for a month until it gets warmer? As you can see by my questions I am new at this. Thanking you in advance if you do not mind assisting me Thanks Julie.
It will be best to take out of the bags and pot them up and just keep then in a protected area such as green house conservatory until the frosts have gone and it warms up. If left in the bags they may get mouldy!
Why did i onky get 1 flower on my 3 year old avapanthus.
It can depend on different factors. The position should be sunny. Make sure it is not too pot bound and is able to get water. Has is flowered before and is it evergreen or deciduous?
Fairweather's Garden Centre yes last year I got two flowers,on a morning patio,

Useful tips, thank you.
Considering how helpful and knowledgeable the presenter is----who must be a professional horticulturalist---I'm surprised this video hasn't garnered a million likes/views. I logged in especially, to give good feedback. Thanks for the tips. I learned a lot! Personally, I'm a Hidcote fan.
You sound just like David Mitchell. Weird. Thanks for the video.
yeah his voice is a bit weird lol
Wonderfull!
Wow, soooo many useful tips in this video! Thank you so much!
So you started by discussing agapanthus in the ground but only showed us how to divide pot pound agapanthus. What about agapanthus that have become leggy in the garden?
This is what you need to do: Lift the congested clumps in early spring , use 2 forks to divide the clump apart and re-plant pieces at 40cm.
Straight to the point and really informative. Adding wood chip for repotting is a really good idea. Thank you for sharing your expertise! 🌱
What at the types of agapanthus again? The container type and the ground type??
Here is a link to our fact sheet on Agapanthus - hopefully, it will answer your questions :) fairweathers.co.uk/how-to-grow-agapanthus/
I live in the states and can't buy the recommended potting soil for the Agapanthus. Can you recommend a good potting soil which is available in the US?
We are not sure what you can buy in the US, but it should be free draining - peat free works well or high level of bark/wood fibre. Avoid too much peat.
Sweet peas pea Sweetpeaa
Do you offer seeds? I want one of each, how much to ship to the USA. ( East Coast )
Hello - I'm sorry but we don't sell seeds. Only plants but we are unable to ship to the USA.
If you send me a stamped addressed envelope,I’ll send you some free.
@@annesnagg3255 send me your address! Here, or You can send it Oak Hill Organic ( no spaces in the name) at outlook dot com. I'll send you a little plant in exchange! Awesome!!! Lisa
Can you plant in ground
Yes you can divide and plant directly back into the ground.
Good and informative
