Brunswick here. I do ride videos of the area. Check us out.
😊😊😊
I had a sugar daddy offer to take me to his house on sea Island. Was creeped out, but now i wish i took him up on that offer 😅
Man, what a trip down memory lane. Reeds is so nice. I went one halloween and it was like going to a club 😅 tried going a week later and whole othet vibe. Evrryone was dressed fancy and live jazz. Like a real speak easy haha. Tipsys is also a very fun bar to go to. Good food and they had trivia every Wednesday
I spent the pandemic on scranton rd, real close to walmart. Went to the islands every weekend
That is where I got my first driver license at good old Brunswick DMV back in 1984.. the driver test was a piece of cake..
no thank you for bloopy noises
A driving tour would be much more helpful than a map tour, which shows little about neighborhoods and amenities
I appreciate the feedback! I’m working on one now showing some of the top neighborhoods 😊
Is the house for sale with the tenant still on the market?
We are so low-class, when we visit Brunswick (St Simons) from Missouri, our first stops are Wllie’s Wee-Née Wagon and Grandy’s chicken! Love Willie’s ❤❤.
It been a lousy town for so many decades I don’t expect improvement any time soon. Must have lousy government.
the music is distracting
I live near Fort Stewart and I plan to buy a travel van in 2 years
What I took from this vid was this: work from home? Want a cheap house with more space? Don’t mind driving over an hour to another real city? (Or airport) Only wanna eat southern cooking or seafood when going out? Don’t like seasons or outdoor activities that don’t revolve around a beach? Love mosquitoes & gnats with a passion? Don’t mind an occasional hurricane every now & then? Then come on down to good ol Brunswick. We’ll welcome you with open arms!!!
Lol... you got it!

High high crime. Feral, trailer trash living within earshot of the wealthy. Prejudice against northerners. Heinous crime history that has received national attention on several occasions. Zero job opportunities, extreme drug and crime problem. Rats, rats, rats. Extreme poverty. I bought Mac and cheese at Piggly wiggly in Brunswick and it had weavels in it. Trailer trash probably returned it to buy drugs. Brunswick is nationally recognized for ranking, consistently, highest in Georgia for crime--or close to it. Last thing, palmetto bugs in every corner of your home are a fact of life. Do your research. Brunswick is a hell hole. I lived there for two years.
Can't believe you didn't talk about Wee-Nee Wagon! Eat there every time I'm in the area
Yes please
I'm on it!! :)
Sounds like being a single person would not do well dating wise there
location isn't your problem.
Stop sending Yankees to Glynn and Camden county. We have more than enough.
The true reason I have a hard time here. 1) YellowFlies 2) DeerFlies 3) HorseFlies 4) Biting Gnats 5) Mosqitos
I am with you!!! The yellow and deer flies are the worst.
I was recently in Brunswick and one thing I will say is that it may be the friendliest place I’ve ever been. People were universally friendly and kind.
Love to hear that!!!
con #6 the smell from the paper mill.
Lol... I hear that! I mentioned that in my 10 things to know about BWK video... my daughter always comments on the smell when coming into Brunswick.
Two months renting in St. Marys, thanks for some perspective. Retired and not looking for such big and expensive properties. Maybe something a little more reasonable as in the orange areas. Gracias
Of course! Happy to help you find a home within budget, just give me a call :)
Cute

Yes, please tour!
I'll work on getting us in :)
WIth the war comming this is prime nuke territory due to the sub base. Grotton, CT is the only other sub base on the Atlantic coast of america.
We are relocating to Brunswick. My hubby's will be an instructor at FLETC. The majority of his career had been at the Southern Border. Your channel has helped.
I'm so glad it's helped! Please give me a call if you need help purchasing a home here :) Welcome to the area!
When I was young, I slept with a lot of guys from fletc. Very promiscuous career. Look out
I happened to stumble upon your videos (I'm not even sure why) and I'm kind of surprised that you are so enthusiastic about Brunswick. While I get "different stroke for different folks," I honestly don't see why anyone would intentionally relocate there. I grew up there, my grandfather was mayor for a number of years, and my family still lives there, so I know Brunswick very well. But I left as soon as I graduated from high school and never looked back. I still visit go down to visit family several times a year, and I'm always so disappointed in what a dump this city has become. Glynn Ave (Hwy 17) is shameful - derelict properties, seedy old hotels and restaurants, and a pervading sense of neglect. Lanier Plaza, which used to be the nicest shopping center in the city is shabby and run down. There has been some attempt to restore the historic downtown, but it is still not enough to revitalize the city and bring in tourism. Clearly, the economy is not strong enough to support a young and vibrant population with the median household income being less than $30K. Glad you like living there, but it isn't for everybody.
Thanks for your input! You're right, it's not for everyone which is why I try to share the pros AND the cons... every city/town has them :)
I grew up in Brunswick in the 1960s-70s and still visit family there several times a year. If you're thinking about moving to Brunswick, I only have three words of advice for you: DON'T DO IT. It is a dump. It smells awful much of the time and the water tastes like rotten eggs. Honestly, I can't think of one single reason why anyone would want to move to Brunswick, GA.
I do appreciate your input. I ALWAYS recommend a good water filtration system for my clients, lol. Thanks for watching!
A smell???? I’m moving there for a job what kind of smell they have going on??? 😳
Ain’t nothing beautiful about them beaches lol
Lol..After growing up going to FL beaches like Destin, the Atlantic definitely looks different since you can't see your toes. But I've come to love and appreciate the changing tides and the way our beaches never look the same!
I suspect your part of Ga to get VERY busy soon. Florida has priced us out. My lovely wife and I live in Mexico Beach, FL and between home/auto insurance and property taxes Florida has become unlivable for us. We will probably be chatting soon.
I've been in the area for a couple of months. Living with friends an hour outside of Glynn County. It is so hard to find an affordable place to rent. Especially while holding down a f/t job in Brunswick. Thx for the information
Thanks for watching! The rental market here is very competitive and pricey unfortunately!
@LivingInTheGoldenIslesOfGA Funny, because my parents rental back in 2019 was 500-600 dollars on average. Now it's 1,300 or more. For a single wide trailer that hasn't been redone since before we moved into it. Because people keep moving here. The jobs on top of that are limited to police force, FLETC, or factory jobs; which the factory jobs only pay between 14-15 an hour, still not enough to make the "2-3x the rent must be made," that most places are forcing on people right now. People need to be aware of the homelessness issue, the issue with corrupt landlords, and how easy it can be to actually lose everything you own here because of the lack of actually good resources, places such as car dealerships and such will try to scam you, esp if you're not from the town. The local communities areas aredilapidated, areas that once were beautiful, and now they look horrible. I know you only mention the best parts of brunswick, but with the right action (I would even spend my time doing it) the worse off places would return to beauty and I feel like crime would significantly decrease People should only move here if they're gonna help us bring some beauty and history back to this town imo. Regardless, it's still a highly educational video and for that, I'll applaud OP.
Does Brunswick still suffer the horrible smell from paper mills?
YES
Yes ma'am! It's not everywhere and Brunswick and not constant but it's still here!
Hi Cassie! I am very interested in moving to Georgia! I love the coastal areas of Georgia and it is way calmer than Florida, which is where I am from.... Do you know any small coastal towns across Georgia but not too far from a major city?
St Marys and Kingsland are right over the GA/FL line, so within 35-40 mins of Jacksonville, FL. Give me a call and we can talk more!
I would prefer Pembroke Pines, FL over any city in Georgia. I would also gladly move to another state before Georgia.
@@Wealthismybirthright I live in Weston! I hate it here! Disgusting!
Man sign me up!
That first area you pointed out. Is it loud being so close to the runway...like... how busy is that airport? Do they shut down the airport overnight between certain hours? A bit concerned about noise
Hi! Not loud at all... very small airport... maybe one or two planes a day. We lived in Caleb's Crossing for a few years and never heard the planes! And I don't think they have redeye flights either.
@@LivingInTheGoldenIslesOfGA Thanks for that.
If you were to suggest a hotel/airbnb/VRBO to visit on the island where would you suggest? We would love to visit … considering moving closer to the coast and very interested in this area
Simone hotel on East Beach is great, but also TONS of airbb/VRBO options - but that depends on a lot of factors. I would recommend looking at any in the East Beach area for best proximity :)
Thank you for this video The photo showed a beach . Where and what is the name of the closet beach ?
Hi! The photo in the thumbnail is of the St Mary’s waterfront which is the St Mary’s River. The closest beach access is Amelia Island/Fernandina Beach!
Doesn’t help a lot looking at a map. Would help if you drove through the areas and showed different neighborhoods
Thanks! I definitely plan to do that, too so stay tuned!
I am moving to Georgia for 1st time after living 15 years in Florida since I came from Cuba. I choose Camden county because is south so am not going to be too cold, also, i wanted to be within 1hour max distance to the sea because i don't like too live too far in land.
Welcome to Georgia! If you need a Realtor to purchase your new home, give me a call ❤️ 404-429-7859
Thank you for a part 2🎉🎉
Im thinking of coming here on a vacation to the ocean.
It’s a great place to vacation!
@@LivingInTheGoldenIslesOfGA Does it have crashing waves at night or lappers? I"m hoping to video some crashing waves at night on my phone?
@@Catloverplayer First of all, Brunswick is on a river, not on the ocean - there are no crashing waves. The waterfront area is industrial, not a vacation spot. There is no beach. For a beach, you need to go to St. Simons or Jekyll. Even there, you'll find gray sand beaches, gray surf, and no crashing waves.
@Catloverplayer To follow what the other person said, you'd be better off going to Florida. St.Simons is sinking because of people like yall coming here for vacation and suddenly wanting to build large homes or constant businesses. The Island physically cannot handle the tourism any longer, but yall see the doodoo brown water and the one to three beaches we have and think "MAN I WOULD LOVE TO STAY HERE" when it's not all that. We have some of the most corrupt history in the US. There's also literal chemicals in the water. Go ahead, smell the difference between city and well water. Wanna come here for vacation or move here? Let me introduce you to our elementary school that just recently got rebuilt because the old one was on an old landfill! This is not a place I would recommend people to live. They're gonna wonder why they keep getting sick and not get better, they're gonna start having actual neurological issues because they don't know what's in our water specifically. She's not gonna describe what us locals have been fighting against for years, even before I was born. Brunswick's bad, man. It's gonna be the next flint within the next 50 or so years. Maybe even less.
Yes, but how’s the stew? (I love Brunswick Stew, couldn’t resist). Really appreciate your enthusiasm, and respect for welcoming your kid into the video instead of trying to edit around. Not planning to move to the area - moving to Atlanta area instead - but will likely be driving through occasionally on the way to Jacksonville so I was curious.
I live in Atlanta now, but grew up in Brunswick. Unless you WANT to go to Brunswick, you can just keep driving on 95 right to Jacksonville, you don't have to go through it. However, you should stop there at least once, if only to see the historic south end of the city. The homes on Union Street rival anything in the South, there is old City Hall and some other interesting historic buildings downtown including the beautiful Courthouse. Glynn Academy High School (my alma mater) is a can't miss, it is one of the oldest public high schools in the country on a beautiful campus dripping with live oaks and Spanish moss. From the south end of the city, get back on Hwy 17 to cross the Sidney Lanier Bridge for a great view of the Golden Isles and then you can cut back over to 95 for the rest of your trip to Jacksonville. Nothing north of downtown is worth seeing (except possibly Hofwyl Plantation which is on Hwy 17 north of Brunswick, headed towards Darien.)
What is that field & spire at 1:03? I live here and still can't find anyplace that matches that scene.
stock footage on that one, lol.
I dream of retiring and moving to the area
Call me when you're ready! :)
I live in Carriage Gate Plantation. Awesome neighborhood. Lots of young families and fun events throughout the year. Like you said, great location close to the schools and the parks are great. Golf carts really come in handy for everything being so close.
One of my favorite neighborhoods :) Thanks for your input!
This was great!
Thanks!
Housing has become prohibitively expensive in the last three years.
Very expensive! And rental prices, too.
