Fun fact that everyone probably already knows: Steve was supposed to die here, but because the duffer brothers liked his actor so much, they kept him alive and made him the most likable character in the entire series.

When I rewatched the show and saw the scene where Steve is running away from the demogorgon and then turns back to help Nancy and Johnathan it reminded me of Eddie and I started crying 😭😭

I started to like Steve when he defended nancy when Tommy and Carol badmouthing her after the fight. Instead of getting revenge after beaten up by Jonathan, he realized his mistakes and went to apologize to him. And then he helped the movie staff to clean up the gravity that T ommy drew. He could have runnaway after seeing the demogorgon, but he went back inside to help nancy and Jonathan and smacked the Demo with a bat.
