However, the Tonca “wins” in terms of its ease to switch from crossbody to shoulder carry. I have now been wearing my Dix solely on the short shoulder strap for shoulder carry. It’s just too much of a hassle to change the strap. The Tonca may not be a good choice if you have a larger phone. I have the iphone 11 pro max and is rather difficult to fit in between the folds inside the bag. These are just my thoughts after using the bags for a while. Hope this helps.

I was wearing my black Amelie at home for a few weeks and I had the same problem. The ribbon edge was rubbing on the sides, near the big toe and small toe areas. Because of that I didn’t dare to wear it outside yet. I want to make sure they are comfortable enough before I wear them out. Honestly, I’m a bit disappointed with my purchase since they are quite expensive for the quality I get. I don’t think I would buy any more shoes from French Sole.

I like them both as they fit the same amount of items. So far I’ve been wearing the Dix more than the Tonca. Thanks for your comment. Would you buy any of these bags?

I understand how you feel. Most likely your partner will need to do a blood test and complete some documentation for admission to the hospital. Please follow the doctor’s advice and your partner will be fine. Speaking from my own experience, the surgery was necessary to treat my condition and it was successful. Don’t worry, everything you need to know will be explained to you by the neurosurgeon. Your partner will recover very soon. Take care!

Don’t worry, the magnet closure is very secure, it will not open by itself. You can see that I stuffed it very full and yet it remained securely closed. Hope this helps.

I think it was around November 2023. I noticed the difference when I looked at different colors of the bag and I purchased mine in December. Hope this helps.

Hi, the Dix bag measures 24cm on the outside and the total zipper length is less than 21cm (with a narrow opening). I’m afraid 24cm umbrella will not fit. Hope this helps.

I’m so sorry to hear that you are still in pain 2-years post surgery. I hope it’s not affecting your nerves, what advice did you receive from your neurosurgeon? Are you going for physical therapy? Physiotherapy treatments have helped me a lot. I’m recovering well, with minimum pain. Swallowing issues were gone within the first 48 hours post-op. I wish you a speedy recovery. Take care!

I have worn it with all black outfits during the winter. It doesn’t stand out too much when worn with black of course. For me, I would consider the sandalwood color as something similar to the LV-monogram brown. It would go with jeans and neutrals like beige, caramel, cream, white and black; also bright colors (if you like contrast). Hope this helps. Good luck with your choice of color!

I fully agree with you. Actually I love the Dix smooth leather in cognac more but I decided to get the black smooth leather instead, just because I don’t want the Tonca in black. In my opinion, the Tonca design stands out better in a colour rather than in black. I have chosen the “Edition Duo Sandalwood” which is meant to be a 2-tone coloured bag. I think 2-tones emphasise the contrast between the pebbled leather and smooth leather on the bag. I love the idea of 2-tones but just didn’t expect the sandalwood colour on the pebbled leather to be so much lighter shade than the smooth leather strap. All Tonca styles that have the “Duo” mentioned in the colours are 2-tones. For example: Edition Duo Camel, Edition Duo Maple, Edition Duo Ecru, Edition Duo Mauve, Edition Duo Laurel. If I knew that the sandalwood has a lighter brown pebbled leather, I would probably have chosen the “Edition Textured Cognac” instead. Cognac brown is also a colour I really like. If that was the case, I would have a single colour bag in Cognac on the pebbled and smooth leathers. Just like the Edition Textured Black, Edition Textured Taupe and Edition Textured Chalk - these are single-coloured bags.

Hi, there’s no colour transfer on this bag at all and I have worn it with all types of coloured clothes, including jeans. As for the suede, I did use a waterproof spray on it when I bought it 3 years ago. It has lasted all these years, no stain and certainly not a single scratch. I’m really impressed with this quality. It was my first Polene purchase, very happy with it.

Black is such a versatile colour. Great choice 👍😊

Thanks for your nice comment! I don’t have a Kindle, but I tried with a book of a similar size and it doesn’t fit. Because of the curved-shape and also the “dimple” design on one side of the bag, it’s not easy to fit larger items inside. My iPhone 11 Pro Max can fit near to the top of the bag. Note that the top closure is also curved, hence limiting what can fit comfortably inside. I hope this answers your question. Let me know if you have any other questions.
