I like this invention. I have driven tri-axle trailer chassis and man dies the front axle ever skid on a turn sharper than 30°: parking at 90° on a soft dirtish gravel digs a 3/8" trench. The business sense is: is the savings on tire wear an benefit of easier parking outweigh the cost of this steering system in X number if year.
This is a great solution for commercial truckers but I have to back a single axel boat trailer into my parking space on a street that is not wide enough for any simple backing attempts and even pulling my boat out of my parking space can only be done using blocks up against our curbstones so that I don't ruin my trailer tires. Anyone know of an available steering system for boat trailers?

@@Scaniam no I don't. But at 2:55 you can see the first axle of the trailer being dragged at roughly 45 degrees. So the axle, and tires especially, is going to wear. But, without the two steerable axles, this ones would be dragging if there was no steering at all. It's like this for all double or triple axles, the pivot point will be at one axle and the others will be dragged.
Johan Öhgren and you don’t think tire drag is a very common thing on trailers anyway even same on tractor units regardless of steer axles or not, you will always get tire drag, plus that is a simulated video it doesn’t work quite the same in practice
I guess it has to be tailored to the particular trailer length? Also, it would be far more use if all three trailers axles were steerable, -particularly for making the trailer crab diagonally, instead of having the fixed axle scuffing sideways -as shown in the video.
excellent application for semi trailers how do i contact this company for further information about this aplication. jjdcat@aol.com thanks , jerry hatfield
I cannot link to the video, but if you search CZcams for "CityTrailer Rear Steering Tanker" you'll find that the fixed axle doesn't stop the steering from working.
the fixed axle is the center of rotation for the trailer. it isn't useless at all. on regular trailers, the rotation point is into the middle axle of the trailer and the tire scrub and effort for cornering in turns is immense.
it means euro truck simulator
Thnx for uploading

I'm here for ETS2. The video is interesting and educational.
Angle control to the trailer wheels?
Tuyệt vời
E: Euro T: Truck S: Simulator
Just more dumb shit to go wrong
More stuff to fail lol. Keep it simple on trailers. There was nothing wrong with Castor steer and reverse locking pin
Its good add on ets2
Hydraulic system best system

Why do people insist on using this GD AWFUL music for their videos?

Does anyone have any idea 💡 on what is going to happen to the third axle tires 😂
You mean the first that isn't steerable?? That could take a beating.
What is going to happen to the third axle tires then? You seem to know it all

@@Scaniam one axle being dragged is better than two, right?
This is good for only local city traffic. Not for the USA's icey, windy roads
Will be good for damies
Which price is this system
ESTÁ GASTANDO MUITO PNEUS POR ISSO FIZERAM COM CURVAS

Now that I know how trailer axles work I can now try make one in Lego!
Did you finish your Lego trailer?
very good!
Keine schlechte Idee!!!
very good idea but it's still need some work to be more realistic i think i hop we will see it in real trailers in the future

+James Bradley I think you would lift the front axle to stop that scrubbing.
The calsium and salt on North American ice roads will make short work of the electrical circuits.
I was thinking the same thing i found this video that uses traditional tires of the USA /watch?v=qyGZ43qA43w
Can this be used on American tandem axle trailers?
don't think it can
I hate to be that guy that no one likes but my brother heard the song and thought i was watching porn =/
goed gemaakt man mag ik de link
This control fits with any truck type?

i see us in a few years. we will have more remotes in the trucks, than in our living room....

Totally useless as long as there is one fixed axel. Useful if the "fixed" axel is arlifted...
