Attempted to start at -33f. Machine has never been a great starter. I’m trying to figure out its limits as well as any tricks there might be to starting it. I think if I had went right to the jump pack it might have started. Also could have given it some gas but didn’t want to flood it. I don't know what is going on when it sputters. If you have any tips for starting these 1100 four strokes ple...

Voltage Sensitive Relay

This is an excerpt from my Modifications Part 2 that just talks about the Voltage Sensitive Relay I installed one my sled. The relay allows you to charge a second battery while you are running around but then acts as an isolator once the engine is turned off. If you run your accessories, like a Vexilar, off of the second battery you will never drain your starting battery. Another plus is that y...

Continuation of Part 1. Shows details of the Voltage Sensitive Relay I installed as well as the box change out process. UPDATE: Recommend installing a disconnect or manual breaker between battery and VSR. The VSR is always on and continually drains a small amount of power. It was enough to permanently kill my battery dead this off season.
Great bed system and shower system. Well thought out and very frugal. I love it.
to many close ups. Why not film the process and not just the final product.
very smart
A guy a few blocks over , has one very similar, he has three Mexican girls that live in it... They take off somewhere every weekend and sometimes for a whole week....
Well thought out build very ingenuous, you certainly do enjoy fishiñg.
Love the simplicity of your design! The shower is brilliant. More room than a traditional shower. Great video and hope you have lots of fun adventures!
Nice set up. I think the shower could be outside
Is it not under sized I was thinking tanks need to cycle 5-10 an hour at 300 and a 75 gallon tank that only 4 times
Instead of cutting into the trim og the aquarium, you could add an acryllic plate with matching holes. the spacer plate needs to be as thick as the trim.
I keep searching but cannot find this part do you have a link by chance
I bought mine right from lippert the part number is in the video. Etrailer has them too, more expensive, #LC382741
How much of th3 frame did you remove,is your water line above or below the trim?
Thank you!
Built one very similar thanks for education. Mine is heavy. Any thoughts on strutts?
❤
Brilliant!
Nice. I was planning on using a futon in my 6 x 12 but I like your idea a lot better I do believe.
Very practice con version, as easy as possible. Good job! Take care;) hHi from Europę ;)
Neat! really wanna make one... thanks guys!
Nice build. Love your ingenuity!
First time seeing your videos. Loved it!
Custom made is great.
Not sure where you all camp, but I have yet to camp somewhere that allows the dumping of grey water onto the ground. I love your shower, but if I built a shower like that I would have to use a grey water portable tank to capture the water and then dump it at a dump station. I would also put it under the exhaust fan to pull the moisture away. Is it too difficult to get insulation in the ramp door?
Yes, a tub can placed under the drain if necessary. The ramp door is two layers of heavy aluminum. I did end up insulating it by using foam and plywood just on the inside.
Nice and simple build. You do lose some storage area below by totally covering the bottom section. You could have cubbies in there to store your tie down straps and other items.
Thanks. We haven't pursued "maximum storage". Figured we'd add storage as we need it but really haven't yet. We can spend 2 weeks on the road pretty comfortably.
@@jackpinebearcat1845I know it kind of defeats the KISS concept, but that space would be ideal for pillows and bedding…another piano hinge (actually just a few short sections) to allow the panel to lay down on the floor and bungee cord to secure the bedding in place against the board and a magnet or slide bolt to keep it in place when folded up against the base of the bed.
Great trailer. Very simple and perfect. Thank you for sharing.
Very good size for a 7x12. The height makes all the difference and you do not feel claustrophobic. Excellent idea for the shower !
Wow! Those were quite extensive! 👍
Love it! Great workmanship, and economy of space.
That is the best conversion I’ve seen on here. Very simple yet FUNCTIONAL!! Keeping it simple is the way to go. I see too many people trying to cram every comfort possible into one of these. The idea is to be comfortable at a reasonable price on trips and save money. Love the shower idea.
I'm about to put this overflow box on the 75 Aqueon as well. How has it been since you have been running it?
how big is the hole?
Thanks. I have watched hundreds of CZcams videos on van conversion. I like your technique to fold the bed against the wall. I will try to do the same in my cargo van. God Bless you and your wife.
This is a great build! Thanks fir the tour. Do you have a video describing your installation of the NuWay stove? I like the idea of vented propane.
Verry cool, thank you!
So you get any leaks between the two boxes? I have one and I get a trickle of water into the ext from the bulkhead. As if the int box doesn’t seat properly
No I've not had any issues with leaks.
I love the way you did the shower. I also like the bed setup. Thanks Tom B.
Down to earth fix up...I love it....getting ready to do my 6x12 for the gold camp......good job!!
Do the fold down legs have a brace holding them in place ? or do they not need one. great job!
I did add a brace, basically a board with a notch in each end that locks the two legs together when they are down. I don't think it is really needed though. We slide totes underneath the bed and I thought maybe we'd knock a leg loose without it.
Can you please give me the dimensions and diagrams of your Murphy bed? I would love to have that thank you very beautiful cargo trailer.
Dimensions and diagrams would require a plan, which I did not have! The dimensions that were important were the height, to allow our totes to slide underneath, and the depth of the side benches to make sure we could sit on them like couches. Other than that I planned, measured, and cut as I went along. Thank you for the feedback, we are still super happy with the trailer.
Marvelous video. Thank you! Great job on the trailer. What make/model is it and how does the trailer itself perform while towing? What do you pull it with?
Thanks! It is an Aluma 7x12. It pulls easy, although I use a 1/2 ton pickup with a 5.3 engine.
Hi nice setup where did u buy the dog bath????
It was an Amazon purchase. If you search portable dog baths you'll find them.
Excellent and smart! Love it! Very cool shower & bed!!! Thank you. I feel like this is reasonable & within reach economically plus it’s stealthy. As a single woman I’d fee safer in this I think. Great job!
Thanks. We were more driven by the fact that it is a quality, durable trailer than stealthiness, but it is certainly both.
Good video, I am working on a 6'x10' at the moment, and like yourselves take many tips from gonagain. I also need the trailer for bikes and if needed cargo, so the the tiny house idea with to much in a small space is not for me. You have done a fantastic build, and good luck in your travels. Richard from Ontario..
We love how much room we ended up with. Good luck with yours!
I have been looking for ideas for my fishing/ utility sled and must say, you have some thoughtful ideas including modualarity , safety and redundancy. I will be using them for my own needs. Thank you for sharing.
In case it's not obvious, I really, really, don't want to walk 30 miles out of the bush. Good luck with your sled!
That seems so simple and functional. Very minimal cabinetry keeps it roomy. 👍👍👍👍👍
We haven't missed anything we left out yet. Simple and functional is the way we like it.
Nice work! Thank you for taking the time to share this video. 👍
Thank you, it was fun to do.
I'm disabled and I can't work at all anymore. I've been homeless bouncing from here and there for over two years now because of my own disabilities, medical conditions and limitations. I'm thinking about getting a 6×12 and make it into a tiny house for myself and my emotional support dog. At least that way I'll have my own little space and place to myself.
Good luck to you. Always nice to have space that's the way you want it.
I have watched this twice. Thanks for sharing the details.
You're welcome, I have picked up lots of details from other's videos, hoping to share as well.
Well done. It looks good and comfortable.
your avatar = Triple drinking horn of Odin. Nice!
How does that pump water out of the bucket?
We started with a battery powered pump with a spray head, but after that died we just heat water on the Coleman stove and scoop it out of the bucket with a cup. Keeping it simple for now.
Friggin Awesome Folks Damn Fine Job
