Bobby’s Back! Quick Ungrounding on Independence Day | Grounding 27ft Boston Whaler

Some of you have been asking where Bobby is. He’s still training with me, but he has a full-time job that he still has to work, so he doesn’t go out on every job with me…and even when he does, some of those aren’t worth posting because there too short and/or boring.
But because you’ve been asking about him, I decided to post this quick and easy ungrounding we did together on July 4th, which was one of 5 jobs we ended up doing that day.

Hey everyone! 👋
I know many of you have been asking about Bobby. Rest assured, he’s still very much a part of our team! Bobby has a full-time job outside of our projects, so he doesn’t always accompany me on every job. When he does, sometimes the projects are a bit short or not quite as exciting, so we don’t always post them. However, because of the questions I’ve received about him, I decided to share a quick and easy ungrounding job that we did together on July 4th.
This particular job was one of five we tackled that day, and it was a straightforward ungrounding that we wrapped up efficiently. Even though it was quick, it gave us a chance to work together and make a difference for our clients.
As I've mentioned before, Bobby has a full-time job that keeps him pretty busy. However, whenever he can, he’s right there alongside me, tackling these jobs with the same enthusiasm and dedication. We’ve been working on a way to showcase more of these smaller jobs because they’re an essential part of what we do.
We have more content coming your way, and we’re excited to share more of our adventures and projects with you. Remember, every job, no matter how big or small, is a learning experience, and we’re here to share our journey with you.
If you enjoy the video, please give it a thumbs up and leave a comment. And don’t forget to subscribe to the channel for more updates on our projects, both big and small.
Thank you for watching, and we’ll see you in the next video!

    Is there an entry level position that tow boats have to gain experience

    • @CaptKenO
      @CaptKenO Před 7 hodinami

      You'd have to ask around at your local towing company. Based on my experience and the people I know in the industry, not really. Most operations run boats with only one crew most of the time, and when they do run "mates" it's usually a captain that they're training and is often an unpaid position. But like I said, ask around and see, because the worst that can say is no 🤷

    • @CaptKenO
      @CaptKenO Před 7 hodinami

      I can't really say I have for salvages...🤷 I don't know of any operations that do use them, so I assume there's a good reason for it. My guesses are they're more expensive than a similarly rated D ring, maybe don't hold up great in saltwater, and aren't abrasion resistant 🤷

    Just @ 5;38 I saw that jetski rippin' across into an optical illusion of sun/water but I thought for a second that he might just do the unthinkable? I'm sure jetski's run thru anchored boats or others towing folks. We see quad riders hit barb-wires & up north each winter there's a few who run their snow mobiles thru fence which they can't see. Decapitations happen on some occasions so I thought for a fleeting second that one might hit the tow rope. You'd know how often it happens. Another safe rescue..... peace

      When I spent 3 yrs in Michigan one winter 2 guys had got decapitated by strands of fencing. Some of those machines can do upwards of 90mph ripping across the snow & many times the snow is higher than the fence posts = it happens so fast. It severs the body like those wires for cheese cutters except faster. Now you got me wondering about this subject? I gotta find out how many & what kind of jet ski accidents happen??? thanks for that man. be safe & peace

Now that seems quite high to me, so I don't think that is accurate

      It's a hydraulic "stick" that get's pushed into the bottom to act as a temporary anchor. Really nice if you're beaching a boat on a sandbar or want to stay in one place while fishing in the flats
