First, great chops! The squire pickups make it sound like it has a rosewood neck. That's all. The U.S. Tele is more articulate. I only play Fender and I produce. Again, great chops!

I have a question, I would appreciate an answer. I bought a FENDER/Britt Daniel Tele Thinline Amarillo Gold. When I pick with the 15th fret bent, I hear a nasty noise, probably due to the resonance between the saddle and the octave spring. However, I was told by the place I bought it that this symptom is a problem specific to the 6-way bridge for Telecasters that is installed on this model. The cause is that the saddle itself is very light, so the string and the octave spring interfere with each other between the string hole and the saddle. This is the answer. Furthermore, for the 1st string, the saddle is moved closer to the neck for octave tuning, so the spring is stretched and prone to vibration, and the tension on the 1st string is weak. These factors seem to be causing the symptoms you pointed out. As a countermeasure, I was told the following. By increasing the string height a little more, making the string gauge thicker, or putting a shim in the pocket to adjust the neck angle to increase the string tension, the symptoms may be less likely to occur. However, a fundamental solution requires replacing the bridge, so you need to understand this characteristic before proceeding. I just bought it, but is this defect something that a buyer should be willing to tolerate? It doesn't come with a level of use, so I think it should be resolved by the seller, but I'm a drummer and I know very little about guitars, so I'd really like to hear any expert opinions, advice, or opinions you may have.

Just pitty that they not use real nitro. They still mix little bit poly into nitro by new murphy lab. The best Replika still make Bavarian Makeover from Germany. That guy is a genious.

What strat is that?

I love and have way, way too many Tube Screamers. I'm kind of a TS junkie 😄 For those that haven't tried a TS, dismiss it in favor of another Pedal Platform or are just wondering how to obtain the tone illustrated in this video, try adding an EQ like the Boss GE-7 in the signal chain after the TS to shape the tone to your liking. Running a TS into a Dumble style pedal can also give you the tone you may be looking for. Oh and for the SRV fans, he used a Dallas Rangemaster to get that tone you seek and the TS was more of a Boost.

Love My blackguard tele. I did mod it. stripped it to the wood and rebuilt it to my needs and it is a keeper. Tone Hatch vintage class 3 pups make it sweet or rude....

The hue is wrong. More of a lilac. The Squier FSR CV 50s Telecaster absolutely nailed the colour.

The Squier sounds pretty good - I own a Fender Custom Shop Tele and Fender Nashville Tele , I'm buying or actually trading an Epiphone Les Paul Custom for a Squier CV Tele . I probably will change out the Pots and Pups . Well maybe , I'll see how they sound first - Nice playing and video Max.

I know this is 3 years old but… I have multiple PRS’s and a LP that I adore. I’m generally a PRS guy, but the neck pickup on that LP is killer. It has just a touch more top end and body than the PRS does.

It's partly about luck with both Squier & Fender. I had a Squier Deluxe Tele, had to return it, faulty pots/switches/wiring with neck pickup sound. Replaced it with a maple neck Harley Benton TE62 which I modded, with a prewired harness & similar, but lower output Vintage Plus Tonerider pickups, shielding, kluson tunes, tusq nut. And it's definitely better now than that Squier Tele Deluxe ever was. That neck humbucker sounded terrible too, though I did like the neck on that squier CV. But later got a Vintera 50s Modified Telecaster and that's at least two levels above, and is a really great guitar. Similar story with the Strats, have a blonde 50s CV strat and really like it, sounds good, though some roughness on a couple of frets, and I hate the cheap looking tone/volume knob covers it came with. The tuners are only ok. I do think it's a keeper though, so I'm thinking of upgrading the pots and switches, Fender or Kluson tuners, and putting Fender 59 Pure Vintage pickups in it. For a glassier sound with more bass. The stock CV 50s is more of a twangy, surfy sounding Strat. Recently, I got a Vintera 60s Strat, and again, it's a much better guitar than the Squier CV 50s. Though, I do prefer the beefier 60s Strat sound, with rosewood neck.

One downside to the Eastman that most people never mention is the Polyester finish. It's quite thin and very well finished, but if you want a Nitro finish, which is a more "correct" finish for an instrument in my opinion, you'll have to get the Martin, or a Gibson. I feel more connected to the instrument and the materials with a nitro finish and it will age gracefully until it fits its player like a glove. At the offset, it's a pretty minor detail, and the poly finish will actually "last" longer, but it just has a slightly impersonal feel to it and prevents some of the instrument's character from coming through. (not to mention the great smell of nitro!)

They compliment each other. I think the Eastman sounds good but it doesn't really have any mids to it.
