Animusic, LLC is a computer animation company with the singular focus of animating music.
Both music and visuals are entirely digitally synthesized. We "invent" imaginary Virtual Instruments by building computer graphics models of objects that appear to create the sound of the corresponding synthesized music track.
We have released the Animusic 1 (DVD), Animusic 2 (DVD), Animusic HD (Blu-ray), and a localized version of Animusic 2 (DVD) for the Japanese market.

This is the set for "Pipe Dream" under construction. This is from the bonus material which you'll find jam packed on both DVDs. The "Pipe Dream" set is used on both the Animusic 1 and 2 DVDs but you might notice that for "Pipe Dream 2" that the lighting has changed and things have aged a bit.

Well, off to my next concert. Now i have to disassemble this thing, pack it carefully, deliver it to the next concert location, then CAREFULLY reassemble it and make sure all the strings are tuned perfectly. 😮💨 NOPE! Im grabbing my six string and we will still have a good time. But it is weird.

I remember first hearing and seeing these in 5th grade at Farmersville Elementary in Mr. Roberts Music class in 2004 or 2005. A shout out to my old classmates that know what I'm talking about that sent to Valley View in Germantown and Farmersville, Ohio then in any grade and even if we didn't graduate together because you moved. I remember seeing this on tv in the early 2000s, and I still love it. But at approximately 3 minutes and up till 3:40, they throw in that piece that just makes no sense. It doesnt match the melody before it, and it dosent match what comes after. A really nice song, and then someone throws what sounds like a cheesy garage band demo track in there, then continues on with the rest of a nice melody. wwwhat the hellll was that for?!

Those strings on those big curly parts, they never get played here do they? Are they a harp? Makes me wonder if there was supposed to be a “Resonant Chamber 2” in Animusic 3 where that part does get used in a new song.

I remember that as a kid my elementary school music teacher would leave this DVD for our substitute teachers to play for us and I thought it was possibly one of the coolest things ever. I still think this is one of the coolest ways to visualize music.

Ever since I first saw this back on the original DVD, I always felt like it was the one that was most plausible to be built in real life. It would still be difficult, but I think it could be pulled off. That aside, I still love Animusic even after all these years.
