Obi-Wan Kenobi lies to Luke Skywalker about his father didn't tell him the real truth his father's name in order to protect him from the real truth Obi-Wan Kenobi remembers what happened to Anakin Skywalker what kind of man he turned out becoming it was too dangerous to tell Luke about the truth of Anakin's life before he became Darth Vader. That's a certain point of you that is the truth. A young Jedi name Anakin Skywalker I don't understand why Obi-Wan Kenobi did not tell Luke about Anakin Skywalker cuz he was never mentioned in Canon once we got into Star war. Episode 6 when Master Yoda dies.

We all talk about Alec Guinness and his magnificent acting, but let’s also take a minute to appreciate Ewan Mcgregors masterful continuation of Alec’s performance. You don’t think of “Ewan Obi Wan” or “Alec Obi Wan”, the performances are so identical it’s just “Obi-Wan” when you see the character.

There was a mistake in the script. Luke said Ben Kenobi and then said he is looking for an Obi-Wan Kenobi. He should have pieced it together or at least figured he was related. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Gotta love the Over a Thousand Generations line. Extremely powerful, and surprisingly close to being accurate by our rules and Star Wars lore. I wonder if content was adjusted later to reflect this statement.

Oh my lord, goosebumps and tears are all I had watching this. Perfectly synced to the prequels with the original sound. It's hauntingly dark and beautiful.

story depicted a literal hell

This is why the prequels were so amazing for those of us that had grown up with only the original 3. We knew there was a horrific story behind Anakin/Vadars story. To actually SEE the transition from good to evil; to see the heart break that Padme and Obi-Wan went through; to watch Yoda drop his staff when he felt so many die... I can't tell you what that was like, after so many years of only knowing of the tragedies.
