Don't get me wrong, this is cool. But, what are you guys doing at home that you need a cluster running container orchestration software?
Question, Teleport or Authentik?
But why do you need VS code tool when you have the terminal?
thank you for this. I'm moving back from Unraid to Proxmox for one of my home servers. It is a good refresher
I would like to know how can you create this type of domains in your local network. Do you use a custom DNS server?

Hi, are Zigbee devices natively compatible with Home Assistant without requiring internet or cloud access?

Good video!
i Abso-f******-lutely love your videos Christian, you have a great voice, yea theres german accent, but it is NOT an issue!! bahlieve me pls! take your time, then make videos. you've made so many good ones, its now a backlog for me to comb through (note this reply is 8 months late 😅). i started watching tech youtubes like 5-6 years ago and you, chuck and 1-2 others are now the only ones i watch. One more thing, dont go for that coffee man.. i love chucks video's too, and i like the amount of info i get in a short time, but i gotta pause and rewind to get it all in 😁
Hmmmm. Lack of "compose" style files... that might be a deal killer for me.
Hallo Christian. Viele Grüße an Sie
what about networkin briding?
Single node cluster 😂 You made my day.
I either get boot from IPV4 or cannot find drivers despite the virtio being added as a cd drive... Why is windows always such a troublesome child. Linux just works.. anyone any idea's?
Having a HomeLab is definately very helpful, using it since my early IT days. And concentration on an IT-field is key, you will become distracted very easily. As you said, a goal is important, I have to find a new one now that I'm well into Linux. Maybe deeper into Linux (also programming) or Windows world, as my employer uses it also. Thanks for the great video, will be very helpful for IT-beginners.
Thank you, you help me to solve my problem with pro mod and terraform with your videos
Just to clearify: You have an Server running Home Assistent in your network and maybe some sensors. Sensors are dump so the data from them can only be pulled by a gateway like ConBee2 which need the appropiate support of the software link like Zigbee2MQTT which depends on the device itself? How about zigbee sensors for example. Do they also need a gateway? It would make sense cause they are also dump by default right? Second question: What about the range. If you want to have one sensor really far away from the gateway how can it connect and how can it pull the data?
how do you paste in vim?
it is amazing that you spent 20 minutes on explaining rather than 1 minute on showing the commands - much appreciated ;-)
Where can I find your notes from this video? I could not find it on your github. Great tutorial. Thank you.
Christian proxmox ist kein type 1 hypervisor
Yes there a the best distribution its called debian
This is a good discussion. Basically you trade cost for support. It really boils down to that. If you pay a company, they can afford to quit their "day jobs" and fix the bugs that inevitably come up.
Hey Christian! First of all great channel, and thanks for such great videos! I am a Proxmox user for more than 8 years now, and most of the things you summarized in this video are really a must do. One thing I would recommend is setting up a VM in Proxmox, and connect primers to the Proxmox server and pass them through, if your VM is Linux for example, you can share those printers using CUPS and you will have the printers easily available for any device within your network without the need to even install them or configure it. I have done it, and I am able to print from Linux desktop, Windows desktop, Mac desktop, iPhones and iPads by simply using network printer, no driver hassle or ant other shannanigans! I hope this helps and also you can use this idea for your environment. Cheers!
I dont see any reason to buy this, in stock 7945hx 55 watt tdp. Not cheap. Not completely passive cooled. Maybe Snapdragon Desktops will do better job.
12:59 LVM and not ZFS?! Nah… 😉 Great video though 👍👍👍
MOAR Proxmox videos please!
Hi need help, I want to build a vps machine in a bare metal . It's a production server what ate the things needed apart from a baremetal server
Well done mate. I was waiting with networking for too long with my app built on microservices. Your video was great entrypoint!
Its not free?
Good tips but clickbait title. You can definitely run proxmox without any of these tips. Except for updates, of course.
Good timing. I have a Minisforum MS-01 sitting next to my desk that will be my first ever Proxmox host, but the RAM doesn't arrive til Monday I think, and the WD N700 2TB SSDs I ordered were on back order, so they're not supposed to get here til Wednesday. The first thing I want to do with it is stand up a Debian VM to serve as my Docker host, and move all my Docker containers off my Synology NAS onto there. I am however a tad leery about the virtualized storage, as I just don't know if I like the stuff being wrapped up in virtual disks with snapshots backed up to the NAS, as opposed to backing up the actual files themselves to the NAS, then backing them up offsite to Backblaze B2 or something. Can you speak to this? Like... if I have snapshot backups and Proxmox gets hosed, if I setup Proxmox again will restoring those snapshots work?
K9S is the best!
Where's the tutorial on how to write a technical documentation with Confluence?
I disagree
Can those hypervisors be used on older routers and switches like cisco 2600,871 w, 2950? I have one desktop pc, ryzen 5 5600/rtx 3060ti 2tb Nd a tight budget but would really like to get to get started on networking. Would I be good with this pc and those routers or should I get another pc as well?
I have problem with packer template and cloud ini
Doesn't work, but thanks for the video.
I don't know why I feel Mr Lempa is Lex Luthor.
Kestra is amazing. Thanks for this video. We decided to migrate from AirFlow to Kestra mostly because of its Cloud Native design.
dang. You didnt show how to setup the token correct in cloudflair.. i am at a loss, there is a bunch of options..
love the videos
Great video Christian and nice intro! thank you for all the tips.
I mean for backups it is better to use Proxmox Backup Server instead of NFS
Nice video, thank you!
The part of configuring the DNS Zone in Clouflare is missing completely.

Thanks Christian. Learned a couple tips I'll be implementing.
Thank you so much! :) Great it helped you
