In Canada, where I live, it is hard to make friends when you are not white. People often don't want to get to know you, they don't invite you to parties or social gatherings, and they rarely approach or talk to you first. It is a lot easier to make friends with other non-white people here. Some young guy told me that he never hangs out with "foreigner". A representative at Big Brothers Big Sisters responded to me that they don't have any asian or black kids for me to mentor as a Big Brother. I am quite shocked with those comments from white Canadians. I feel that Thailand is more welcoming to foreigners than Canada.

My official airport taxi driver had the meter covered with a cloth so I couldn’t see it. Paid 600TB. I now know, this is too much. But I thought it was legit because I got the expensive SIM card which I mathed was around $35-$40. I was like “oh a long taxi ride from the airport during rush hour on sukhumvit road would totally be at LEAST $20 in america. My 600thb was about $13. A scam? maybe. bank breaking? no.

I got scammed... by the Thai military dictatorship (i.e., "Mr. Happy")... for maintainjng a safe deposit box, was charged with : 1.) money laundering 2.) tax evasion "They" extorted maximum from me (essentially everything) -- such a corrupt country... love the Thais, but the government [ ? ] 😐

As a Thai person, I think that Thailand is a developed country so far. For the following reasons: 1.) More than 30 years ago, I went to Europe. We accept that Thailand is an undeveloped country. Because European people say Thailand has a small airport. There is no electric train network. There are a lot of poor people who are starving. Doing agriculture using human labors. 2.) Currently, Thailand has Modern electric trains covering all areas of Bangkok. There is a big airports, there are 20 airports in nationwide in Thailand. Easy travel with 4-8 lane roads connecting every province. No Thai people go hungry. Thailand produces so many food products that there is surplus to sell abroad. Thai people do agriculture with machines and technology. 3.) Income of Thai people, on average, has income in baht currency that can be used to buy food for every meal. It is enough to use for living. Can be used to take care of everyone's health. The cost of living Thais is not high. So that Thailand is a developed country . Is it True? P.S. To taking Thai people's income in baht and converting it to dollars and then you saying that Thai people are poor and have low incomes is a very very wrong logic. This type of wrong way of thinking logic should be completely removed from this world economics.
