MASSIVE Thrifted Barbie Haul
I went virtually thrifting on EBay and scored a MASSIVE lot of used Barbies for cheep! Some of these are in horrendous condition, but I am excited for the challenge. Leave me a comment and let me know which doll I should makeover first! And PLEASE don’t hesitate to let me know if you recognize any of these dolls!

Thrifting Barbies - A Blast from MY 80’s Past!
zhlédnutí 440Před měsícem
This bodacious Barbie doll came out during my own childhood in 1993 - but if you were old enough to remember 1993, you already know it was basically the 80’s! I was so excited to clean up this thrift store Barbie doll and return her to the excellent doll she once was! This one was incredibly nostalgic for me. #barbie #dolls #thrifthaul #diy #thrift #1980s Music: "Glitter Blast" Kevin MacLeod (i...

Hope it turns up! 🙏🏻💖
Much love ❤❤and happy collecting and happy Mother’s Day 🎉
Thank you so much. We had a lovely day together.
Awww!! No! Hopefully you can find her ❤ I love the Kelly size dolls they just make me so happy ❤ Happy mothers day
Right? They are so cute. I’m so sad she is missing, and I think I’m the one who lost her, which makes it so much worse. I hope she turns up.
😢
I’m still searching for her, but I’m so sad.
3:00 The fairy is named Glee, a character from the movie Barbie Fairytopia Magic of the rainbow. 😊
Omg awesome! Thank you for letting me know!
Cutee❤❤❤❤❤😊
Thank you!
Wait.... Is that roller skate barbie😱 woah! Such a good find!!
I *think* so. I pulled up photos and I thought roller skate Barbie had blue eyes. These are more teal. I thought her face looked more like gymnastics Barbie from the same year, but the earrings are definitely from roller skate Barbie.
As a yarn spinner, I figured that Barbie hair fiber needed to be straightened to lie flat. I dont know if dollar tree still sells cat/dog metal tine brushes, but they do wonnders as barbie hair detanglers. The hair came out wonderfully.
Oooh! I didn’t even think about dog or cat brushes! That’s so smart. Thank you.
❤
Those bangs came out great!
Thank you! I was so nervous. I really wanted them to look good. It felt important to keep the late 80s/early 90s integrity of the doll and the bangs seemed integral to that process 😂.
Love the makeovers! Great job!
Thank you so much!
Lord myfroggie stuff. Lord Toya
I found that channel shortly after I posted this! She is absolutely incredible!
She is so beautiful
Thank you! I’m so happy with how she came out!
❤❤
markus for the boy and amber for the girl
Random name generators whould be a good alternative. Also Maybe Iva?
Oh, I know. I love name generators. I just thought it might be fun to get the audience to help name the dolls. :)
@@ArtiesDollhouse True, I meant more for like side or minor characters, though that might not be a thing
Cute I got six dolls from goodwill yesterday 99 cent each
Oh nice! That’s a great price!
Nice
Thanks
And what will be the the right doll of your four years old? Chelsea or Kelly?
I was thinking about that. Chelsea is too old, but Kelly is too young. But, I might just do a Kelly doll so we can redo it and make a Chelsea version in a few years.
@@ArtiesDollhouse that’s a good idea. Work on that!
@@kimbingham6540 I ordered a lot of used Kelly dolls from eBay yesterday 😀
@@ArtiesDollhouse I happen to have a huge collection of Kelly and Chelsea dolls
@@kimbingham6540 That’s awesome. We are about to 😂. I think I got 12 Kelly dolls on eBay yesterday. She already has like six Chelsea dolls.
Hi, modern Barbie earrings have sort of an arrow shaped tip so they're really hard to get out, your best bet is to dunk the dolls head in boiling water (don't worry it won't meld the plastic) it'll relax the vynil head and make the earrings removable, afterwards you can just cut off the flares so they're easy to take on or off for playing I also recommend looking into boil washing for fixing doll hair, it's a little scary at first but it's basically the best way to restore doll hair It also allows you to do fun things like changing the hair's texture, for example you can use pipe cleaners like rollers and give your dolls some curls (I'm a doll collector who absolutely adores restoring dolls the process is so fun and satisfying to me)
Its looking goid. Definitely let that baby help to. Cause when she gets older you can look back and see the progress. The room is looking fantastic! I like that deco window above!
Thank you so much! She is having a lot of fun helping where she can. She’s only four so I get nervous with hot glue and such, but she helps me pick colors and materials and helps clean all our used Barbie finds.
❤ I love dinos too! Try accetone on those rough spots but be cautious. The crimps hmm did you comb while conditioning and then boil wash?
I did. I combed with the conditioner in, then I did the boiling water. I’m actually okay with them though. It helps hide the less than stellar hair cut 😂
Blake for the boy and Laney for the girl :)
Great job
Thank you!!!
Much love ❤❤
Looks great!
Thank you so much!!!! I can’t wait to share more.
It is call made to move Barbie doll 🙄
This Barbie is stamped from 1993. Mtm Barbies are much newer and have articulated joints in the ankles, wrists, and shoulders, as well as the knees and elbows. This isn’t a MTM Barbie, which Is why I said it the way I did.
Dollar Tree has a decent collection of "barbie sized clothes" in their toy section.
We literally just went there today. I grabbed a few furniture pieces and a canoe but the clothes were something we tried previously and they fell apart after three days.
@@ArtiesDollhouse I think it depends on the style. I got the smaller size for smaller sized figures. The neck opening isn't sewn correctly, so adding in small elastic bands for fabric would help the longevity. They sell those in the crafting section. I've seen them in different colors like blue and orange for example. If you want, the clothes can be used as a Blueprint for your own sewing projects. Better to sacrifice cheap clothes and not name brand Barbie outfits. Either carefully cut them along the sewing line or undue the sewing and spread them out into paper and trace for a blueprint. Then you can sew on scrap fabric.
Barbie extra mini mini
Ooooh. Thank you! I truly had no idea what that doll was 😂
Joan and Jack
That’s a lot of
That’s a lot of what? Lol
Redhead - Jordin Ken - Rhys
Ooooh I love Rhys!
Redhead=Irish so I’m picking an Irish name. Bridget.
If your looking for some like cheap Barbie clothes go on temp they sell them for cheap and they’re pretty cute
A little hack, you could cut some poster board to the size and cover that with paper and pop it in place so you can have the option to remove later
That’s such a good idea! I’m basically done with the walls at this point, but I could easily do that if I want to update them!
Renovate!
That’s definitely the plan! 😂 I just posted a longer length reveal of the top floor last night!
It would be a great bonding activity to make a vision board with ur daughter and then execute the ideas together
That would be so cute ❤
Love to do this to dolls so fun and satisfying
I really am having fun with it!
❤❤❤❤😂🎉
That’s my dollhouse give it back
Oh no! 😂
Much love ❤💗to your daughter plus never to old for collecting them or play and u got this and u. Never play with them 🎉🎉 plus I’m shay and and I hope make your dreams come true little one
