My First shot at edm, programed/played all the key parts and played guitar using Positive Grid FX Pro. It was a bit of a struggle to get a guitar sound to sonically fit in the mix/grid of edm. Anyhow I discovered "The Veldt" by Deadmou5 and really enjoyed it. The tune is written by Joel Zimmerman and Chris James Artwork - The Bubble Collector - not sure who did it but it wasn't me.

Question, were you able to put pedals on top of where your pedal power is?If so, how? I have a pedal power plus 3 on the bottom of my board but it takes up too much space that i would like to use for more pedals.
Gorgeous guitar, how well does it hold tuning with the trem ?
I gotta say it's rock solid, amazng how well it stays in tune !
I stumbled upon this product too about two weeks ago on Instagram and have been researching since. Thank you for this post, very helpful.
Hi Patrick, would you happen to know if i can use the one-spot 9v wall wart to power the PM50s? Thanks for doing your review 😊🙏
Great Pat. Thanks !!,, Does it connect automatically to the X air 18 right??
Beast of an axe.. mine is 8lbs 4oz other then the weight it's a beauty
Hello! I know this video is old, but I would like to know if you have any information on the recent issue of the X Air app crashing on Ipad. Apparently after IOS 16 update, the app crashes when trying to access any top menu option. Only simple functions like faders, buses and effects can be used. I hope you can help me.
If you're thinking about doing this, like me, you need to realize that a steel tool chest will vibrate like crazy when low frequencies are loud or when a loud amplifier is playing. Go with something wood or plastic for less resonance, even though it's not as cool.
Was just wondering that. Wanted to put old school metal locker in my studio. Glad I caught this before I bought it
@@jairedrob yep! I ended up purchasing an OSP road case with drawers (the drawers are padded) and it works perfect
hey pat i have this on my android tab and i did something and the sliders shrunk down and i dont know how to make them tall again , any suggustions
Change your "visible channels" in your layers. Decrease the amount of visible channels. Should fix that.
@@colemartin9077 thanks i'ii try that but i only have 8 now its an android tablet
Part 1? 2 years ago. Hope you're OK.
Can't you talk louder and explain more in detail?

Just found this video and I’m from Maine! Not too far from Augusta. Thinking of ordering a Vader
Oh man your gonna love the vader - I absoutly enjoy mine - By the way nice sweep picking on your children of Bodom lead video \m/
Draws... lol.
I also came here to say that lol
Beautiful guitar! Thanks for the video. Can't decide on whether to buy a Vader or a Delos :( They are both awesome.
Well..I've been toying with getting a Delos ! I would like to have both i guess lol. I don't think you wil be disapointed which ever way you go -cheers
@@gannett7 Would you mind sharing a little about the guitar's specs, especially the finish / paint job? It looks amazing.
@@Peterplayingguitar - Vader Headless 6 w/Trem - Clear Maple Neck - Mahogany Body with Flame top with deep lava stain - Tung oil finish back of neck - Dot shaped inlays which are mother of pearl - stainless steel frets - White Logo - ultimate soft case - So as seen in the video total cost $1,669.00 plus $27.00 for feight. Hope this helps -cheers
@@gannett7 It did help - thank you so much! Best regards.
Thank you for the helpful video! How many phones can be connected to the XR18 at once? Can each person run this app simultaneously on their phone to control their individual mix?
Hi Corwin - You can connect 6 phones or tables as there are 6 mix buses - and yup, each band member can run the x air q app all at the same time and control their individual personal mix, won't effect anybody else or FOH..it's pretty cool
@@gannett7 that's amazing, thanks very much for the reply!
I’ve just bought the same guitar, absolutely brilliant guitar. 👍🏻I’ve had it set up for 11s it’s deadly 👍🏻👍🏻
Great explanation! Just wondering... should you mute the phone and put it in a different mode or anything like that? Thanks
Hi, does the Rolls PM50S PASS THRU phantom from the board or usb audio interface to the mic?
It is my understand that a musician using a single aux send from the board, to this unit, will be receiving a mono signal. I have yet to see any of these reviews demonstrate changing this unit from stereo to mono so you hear the mono signal in both ears. What is the process on the side of the PM50?.
Very helpful Patrick, thank you!
Your welcome Brian glad you enjoyed!
There is an option for iPhone mobile I use an XR model, I just found an app (MX-Q) that controls the auxiliaries, but I couldn't get something that I can at least activate a table / scene without needing the notebook. Do you know any solution indication?
Oils from leather will do a heck of a lot more damage than that pad.
Its sad that fender does not supply a case on a guitar so expensive.
Blah blah blah
Am I missing something on the install? If your first screw head is on a stud, and there is say 1/2" or so of the aluminum channel on the end, drilling every 16" means that the last screws will fall 1/2" short of being located on a stud. I cant wrap my mind around this and why the don't sell it as 49" as a standard?
Hi Patrick how do you operate the 2 switches ( gnd/lift and stereo/mono) They’re strange looking things with pins , do you pull them out or try to move accross ??? Any help would be appreciated- thank you
Omg 😃 beautiful
Thank you -cheers \m/
Do you know the difference between SP-1 and Sp-2?
Still waiting for part 2,🤞🏼
Funny at the end because honestly one of the main reasons I never pulled the trigger on one of these is that all my guitars hang out of reach of kids, pets and the general mayhem of my house.
glad you enjoyed it -cheers
Thanks! do you use a Weller sp25 iron?
Yes I do works great -cheers
Thank you ;)
I love your rig and want to do something similar, but was wondering why you went with (2) VL Pedal Power 2 Plus units instead of something like a Walrus Audio Phoenix or CIOKS Ciokolate 13?
Hi Mike - well good question, I didn't initially think I was gonna have so many pedals on the trio 28 lol, plus the loop switcher and RGB led lights takes up 2 slots, so i just bought another one. Temple Audio makes an adaptor for the Pedal Power so its a real custom fit under the board www.templeaudio.com/page/install scroll to the bottom of the page , not sure if they make one for the cioks or walrus. I like the Cioks cause it looks thin and space is limited under the temple board, i like the phoenix cause it has a courtesy plug on the back like the VL that comes in handy, but it looks pretty thick to me not sure it will fit under the temple. Bottom line 2 VL pedal power 2's will cost you $358 the walrus is $279 and the cioks is $329, not a huge price diffrence. Hope this helps in your decision, and your gonna love the temple if you get one! -cheers
Hello Patrick! I started singing in the worship team at my church and the in-ear monitor was really a struggle to hear my own voice even when the sound guy turned my voice up. I am such a newbie at in-ear monitors! I want to purchase an in-ear monitor for personal practice at home to get used to them as I am totally out of pitch and tune when I can't hear my own voice. I have wireless microphones with an adapter receiver. Will this be a good device to purchase for this? Can I plug my wireless receiver adapter into this and will it work? It's the Slint Karaoke Microphones. Thanks a bunch! www.amazon.com/dp/B0818B4L92/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_AjndGbCAZ6YDE?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Hi Patrick. This is a dream guitar for me. I once was an owner of Steinberger GM4T but it had a flaw - total deadness of harmonics that’s coming from carbon neck. I’d love to hear your comments on actual use and demo!
Hey, thanks for the video. I use ableton with Novation sl mk2. My sustain pedal operates with a binary logic (on/off) without any interval sensitivity. When I press the pedal the value for hold pedal comes as either 0 or 127. Is there any setting to generate interval values depending on the sensitivity of pushing the pedal.
Good choices on those pedals!
Thanks Larry
Slight correction: the K guitars do not 'come' with a soft case, you have to pay 100 bucks extra for it (no choice when ordering).
I pulled my invoice from Kiesel and yes I was charged $60.00 for the Utlimate Soft Case, so yes it did "not" come with the soft case. -cheers
Can you tell me what price point you ended up with on your specs? Also, why the two strap buttons on rear? Beautiful guitar!
Hi Jason - The basic guitar with tremolo was $1,349.00 + $50 for the clear maple neck/mahogany + $250 for the deep lava stain on flame + $60 for tung oil finish on the back of the neck + $60 for the case less $100 promo discount. So all in it was $1,669 for the guitar. The two strap buttons, well you can use one or the other with your strap depending on your preference, and they double as a built in stand of sorts, set it down on the two strap buttons and lean the neck aganist a wall or amp, its handy. It took about 10 weeks from ordering it, them building it and in my hands. Hope this answeres your questons -cheers
@@gannett7 You forgot to add the $100 for the vibrato
MCA stands for "Mix Control Association"
Did your Trio 28 come with the mounting bracket on the bottom (I believe it's standard). If so, why did you remove it and did you find it unnecessary? I have a Duo 24, which came with the bracket, and I'm using the same Voodoo Labs power supply that you are using. It won't fit under the mounting bracket and am considering pulling the bracket off. Just curious why you did on such a big board (when Temple Audio seemed to think it necessary). Any negative impact of not having it? Thanks.
Hey Jeff - it did come with a mouning bracket, and like your the voodoo labs power supply it won't fit under the bracket on my 28, so i removed it and never looked back, seems unnessary anyhow no negative impact...my advice is to just get rid of the bracket -cheers
I just got the trio 28 today and there are no brackets included. Wonder if they changed
Beautiful guitar! I really love this, I ended up going with a Strandberg refurb tremolo because I just felt that the neck design is unmatched when I played a model at Guitar center and it was the best bang for the buck. Love your guitar :).
I though long and hard about getting a Strandberg, amazing guitars, sounds like you got yourself one sweet guitar - cheers
Great video!!!. I have a question, is it possible to restrict the access of some options on different devices? I don't want the singer accidentally modify any parameters when trying to adjust the volumes on his monitor. I hope you can help me.
well if your singer is using in-ear monitors no problem, assign him/her a monitor buss and no problem it will only effect his or her's mix and nothing else, I would not do it with tradiional floor wedges, if something goes weird FOH will not not whats going on
Thanks for your answer! The context is: from the FOH console I run PA, but via WIFI I give access to the vocalist's cell phone so that he has autonomy of adjustment in is in ear monitor volumes, but at the same time, he has access to all the features of the app and he could modify the adjustment of others stuff by mistake. I agree that the correct thing is to assign the vocalist his own bus, but what I want to know is if some options can be blocked on his device (cell phone), so that he does not modify parameters by mistake. Once again thanks for your help.
@@delbosdrums Humm not sure if im missing something..so the vocalist is using the X Air Q app correct ? if so he won't have access to anything else. I mean he could go to someone elses bus but not the FOH mix. other than that I am not aware, and i did a bit of poking the berhinger site, of blocking access on his device. Let me know if you find something, sorry i was not more help - cheers
@@gannett7 I know what my mistake was. You have downloaded the complete XAIR app for the singers' cell phones, instead of XAIR Q. Thank you for your time and your help.
Call me crazy but, why don't they just make the hook coverings safe for nitrocellulose finishes instead of suggesting a work around? Duh? Guess I'll look for a company that does. Sheesh. Same with guitar stands. Nothing like buying a product and then having to modify that product (aka spend more money) before I can use it. I think Angus Black has the real answer. BUILD YOUR OWN. That's my plan.
If you're looking for XR18 rack ears that are actually better than the stock parts, have a look at these: www.etsy.com/ca/shop/SeigiDesign
Wheres the playing review??
I love that multimeter!
Lowe's.. 12 Bucks or so and it can be yours too \m/
Hey Patrick, thank you for such a simple video tutorial! So many others have over complicated it, to such a degree , that it's just not approachable for most new comers. I've been a life long guitarist, but never dabbled in midi before, so getting to grips with it all is a bit overwhelming. This summarized basic looping so much better and made it much less intimidating.
Thanks Steven im glad you found it interesting and helpful \m/
But on this case, with launchkey mkii, if you change to an audio track it doesnt get automatically armed
Hey guys,. How do you when your guitar is specifically arriving ? Thanks 👍
