That was awesome, I mean to maintain such a perfectly smooth running action especially in the closing stages at a blistering pace (the 42nd kilometer was covered in 2:42 minutes !!!) ,, that is what I call real focus,, amazing athlete, that's speed endurance on another level,, i think if this guy pushed himself really hard he could run under 2hrs in an official marathon

To shake off geremew the final Ethiopian left with him he covered the 40th kilometer in 2:42 mins!!.. that is stamina on another level 😳,, and you look at him you can't see the surge because he remains steady, relaxed and composed even when moving at a super fast pace , you have to see the athletes around him falling back to realise he's increased the tempo,, phenomenal

I love this music. I need this on my next run while I pretend to be Kipchoge but running 10 minute miles.

I know that officials and medics are not allowed to assist without causing disqualification. But if a runner is laying semi concious on a 40 degree road after collapsing, their race is over and they need urgent medical attention before possibly dying. We are lucky In this instance that he survived but surely a race director or marshall can make that call that his race is done on medical grounds. What made this worse, but wasn't shown in this video edit, was the runner laying all over the road trying to get up and some muppet with a phone in his face recording his downfall.
