What have I been working on this week?
zhlédnutí 41Před 3 měsíci
I have been doing standardized testing at school and so while I was being quiet, and monitoring the students, I worked on small crochet projects. Only succeeded in a couple of stitches at school, but I did get some done at home. I highly recommend this book, 100 Days of Mini Amigurumi by Lauren Espy. the patterns are easy to follow and super cute. Also, Lots of Frogging on TikTok and Etsy is wh...

F and M fabrics

Fabric trip and haul to F and M fabrics in Bakersfield California. Vintage and dead stock in an 18000 sq ft warehouse. So MUCH goodness. I have so many plans for these fabrics and notions. They also have an online store, thefabricmarket.com. It only has a fraction of the choices but that is still a huge amount. I will be using a lot of free patterns for my sews and will be sharing where I found...

Bag to carry my crafting materials
zhlédnutí 140Před 4 měsíci
I made this bag using ideas from a number of bags I have made in the past. There is no pattern, but I will list all the measurements so you can make your own. You can modify the measurements to make a bigger or smaller bag as long as you have the general idea of the outcome. For the outer cover, inner lining and interfacing you need a piece 29" long x 13" wide. The sides are 4" wide x 10 1/2 " ...
Making the Joss pant from Seamwork. The sizing was a fail, but the sewing was a success.

I found this adorable Simba sweat shirt at the Goodwill bins but it had been cropped shorter than I liked so I decided to try something I had seen using a tank and a men's shirt and figured it would work here as well. More economical if u cut the towel in half n make 2 towels out of one.
In ones where I make the enclosed top, I will, but I was playing with an idea on this one
Excelente proyecto. Gracias ❤
Could you not of gotten it ready earlier and saved the time
I was giving ideas for what to do with small scraps, if I had simply wanted to show how to make the trees I would have had the items set out.
Love this. You should of used your ruler to hang the towel it would have been easier than your arm
I love F and M fabrics!! It can be over whelming, but as you shop there you will get to know the layout. If you are looking for a notion and can't find it ask. I was looking for boning for a dress. Thinking that I would have to order it. No they had it and the price was better than online. I go to F and M for most of my sewing needs.
This was my first but not last trip
I love the white fabric
I am excited to get it made. I am thinking either clam diggers or culottes
Question do you sell you sets with one towel hanger and 2 mitts?
So far I haven’t sold any, just gifted. But to answer your question, I do one towel and 2 mitts. This seems the most useful.

I’d really like to see why it looks like. Unless I missed it, the whole tunic isn’t shown completed.
This pattern takes me back to sewing classes at my primary school many years ago. We called them ‘baby doll pyjamas’ and mine were made in a pale blue seersucker cotton. All sewing was by hand and though I now make clothes using a sewing machine and overlocker I like to sew by hand any chance I can.
I have arthritis in my right hand and hand sewing is difficult. I used to enjoy doing needlework too
Did you topstitch or hand stitch the opening after turning?
I topstitched around the entire outside. I think it gives it a more finished look. Sorry I missed that step.
Yes this is gonna be cute I wanna learn how to sew clothes
I hope I can help you learn as we go along to make your own things.
so your opion do you think i should learn how to sew clothes practiceing on doll clothes
@@jazmine0224 I started sewing that way
Hello
don't forget to number pattern pieces, identify folds, all markings from original pattern pieces, and how many times you cut the piece out; if it is a front or back piece; grain lines
Thank you for adding this, I didn’t realize I had overlooked that. I would like to believe I would have pointed this out once I did a full pattern. I appreciate your comment.
@diywithjeanne6259 I just thought I would add this comment as you stated you are a newbie when it comes to sewing, I have been sewing for 60 years and when I teach someone new they don't always remember to copy over all the info from original enjoy
I appreciate any help. I have seen for years, but this year I want to try to make clothes that look less home made and I want to actually do things the right way. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you, seriously
HELLO THATS A GREAT IDEA FOR PATTERNS
Thank you, I am trying to up my game this year
Yeah I just had gallbladder surgery yesterday and I'm a little sore but I'm walking around and it's getting better
Yeah I'm trying to make stuff I haven't done any videos lately cause I have been working a lot and hurting so now that I'll m feeling better it's time to make stuff
@@jazmine0224 I look forward to sharing and seeing your makes soon
What size is the second piece? You just gave 7 1/2 by 11"?
it is in inches, so 7.5 inches by 11 inches.
Hi, this is a great idea especially to use for memory coin use
That’s a great idea, then adults can carry it unlike a memory bear. Thank you
This would be a perfect project for nursing home residents in Bible Study! Thank you for sharing. <3 Happy New Year!
That would be a great idea

A great straightforward idea, thankyou, have looked at many complex alternatives and failed to do them!
I am trying to improve my sewing and that will be the goal for 2024. Keep me informed on your progress and come back to see mine
@@diywithjeanne6259 I completed 2 from your video as Christmas gifts and am very pleased with them, other designs are just so fussy, for a handtowel! Also made bowl cosies,
This is the pattern designed by Notches Sewing 2 years ago, giving her credit would be nice by posting her link under your video czcams.com/video/v-eRoUkyKSQ/video.htmlsi=0HF0dZ4hGfkbLrBm - that would be nice to recognize the time, work and money taken to design it. Thank you.
That is not where I saw this in the first place, but I do appreciate you adding her link. I am aware of her channel and love her work yet I had not seen her version of this.
I’ve never seen any of these before, they look interesting
Since it’s my first vlogmas, I wanted stuff I like and my husband likes.
Where do I find the video for the mitts?

Love this!!
thank you
Nice! Did you use a whole towel?
I did, but I would recommend half a towel to minimize the bulk.
Hi!!!! 😊
I love your channel
where can i find that stencil you used?
It is a retired chalk couture stencil. If you have a Cricut you could make a similar one.
I got mine but haven't done it yet. Pretty sure mine is the same color. I like lavender bath stuff but not lavender tea.
The bath stuff is awesome, I haven’t tried the tea
Lay it out first before you glue, it should help spread them out better.
My word...a cat up in the activity! Smh!
She thinks It is all about her most of the time.
I just opened mine and I got intimidated and put it away lol
It is super easy, just make sure you tie the strings really well
@@diywithjeanne6259 okay thanks! I got it back out and did it!
I love your technique. If I had measurements I would b able to follow your pattern. Very interested in making this beautiful towel project.
They should be in the description
@@diywithjeanne6259 thank you. How many inches do u sew tab on large piece? TIA
@@lindaabuhasou2635 From the top? I usually put it about one half and inch from the top or less. It folds better the closer it is the the top.
I feel you left out steps which makes it hard to follow along. 😕
I loved doing this one. That is a pot of glue that they gave us.
I figured it must be, they are so good at giving all the supplies. Love them. Thank you.
Wishing you all the best in 2023.

Also I did the antlers off of a different youtube video plus I hot glued my pieces on.
I was happy with it
I have crocheted before and it was so hard for me.
Once I got the hang of the miracle stitch it was ok, but I didn’t count correctly so it was a little odd
Have a blessed night 🌨️❄️🥶❄️🌨️
This month will be my first box. I haven't crocheted in years but I am looking forward to it. Plum deluxe is one of my favorite tea companies with the porch sippin being one of the best. I get a subscription just through them as well.
I love this box so much. I don’t crochet often but this is too cute. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I am not paid by them, I buy my own each month because it is so nice.
What are the measurements for the tab? Thanks
The cross strip? It is 6” x 8”
I like that you simplify the process. Thanks!😊
The towel is very pretty but as others have said, you were not detailed enough on measurements and how you folded the towel. If you correct these steps it would be a great video. I hope I find the little oven mitts that match as I would like to make those.
I am getting my craft room set up to video while sewing
The ones I make are very similar to this. The dimensions are a bit different and so are a few steps but same concept. I love sunflowers btw 🌻
Thank you, they are a lot of fun
I wish you could hang on a stove to show us how it lays.
I am looking into having a cabinet door type display made
Brillant!
Thank you

I am not sure how this is a promotional video
What's the measurement for the band?
6” x 8”, fold the 6” in half and half again to fold the raw edges in. Yo want it 8” across.
Great idea thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching
It is a beautiful hand towel. I just don’t feel like I learned how to make with you only showing the work after each step is complete.
