In order for the stylus to obtain good sound from the vinyl grooves, it is necessary to eliminate vibrations that are unnecessary for them. 1. A heavy turntable and its stand. The vibrating motor is kept away, and the string provide minimal friction for vibration-free drive. The tone arm is suspended by a string and insulated from vibrations with silicone liquid. Also, the centripetal force of the stylus decreases the longer it is from the fulcrum, and it becomes perpendicular to the grooves.

Amazing , I would have loved to see more of the tonearm pivot point though ! Was it a similar idea to a well tempered arm and the damping concept ?

what did you use to damp the tone arm tube? I have read that Coffee Mate creamer power was the secret damping material use in competition aluminum arrow shafts to stop them from oscillating during flight.

Why not making that arm longer than that? It seems you've way more room in there. (The longer you make it the closer it gets to being perfectly tangential...)

Hm... Have you checked internal resonances of such looooong tonearms? There are no materials stiff enough with a such diameter and a length. An effective mass I guess is insane. You are limited with only few Japanese cartridge models. I hope you've found a crazy customer for that ... piece of art.

Naja, Geschmäckern sind verschieden. Man kann's auch übertreiben. Mit was will man so ein Teil gegen Staub abdecken. Für eine Abdeckhaube braucht man zwei Mann. Und bis der Ton durch die langen Tonarme durch ist, dauert es eine halbe Ewigkeit.😱😱😱😱 Viele Grüße aus Germany

Any system will sound half decent when not given a complicated piece of music to reproduce (go to any Hi Fi show to witness this). Eva has such a depth and tone to her voice which gives an overwhelming sense of emotion when she sings. This seems to be missing here and her voice sounds a bit sterile. Maybe its because the speaker is firing directly towards the cartridge, who knows but I have heard Eva sound better.

Perfect tracking angle at the expense of tonearm resonance? Interesting! Sounds good reproducing female vocal and acoustic guitar for sure. But I would be keen to see how it handles heavy bass.

I would like to see a buildvideo of that turntable. Plz.

I tried a 200 inch fishing rod... Man, that was the best ever.... I could even use it as a remote from my listening seat, didnt have to stand up skipping a track... 👌😄 I am just kidding... I think its gorgious a 12 or 15" arm.... beautifully made. 👍
