In true multi-passionate style the history of my channel is eclectic! Now training as a life coach to support other multi-passionate women the content will start to change.
The channel started out as a source of information for unpaid carers. The first film went live on June 17th 2018. In that time I also started a social enterprise, Mecoco, providing workplace experiences for disabled people including my own son, James.
All the old videos are still here in their own playlist as I know they are still providing useful information.
Thanks for your continued support; for my existing subscribers I hope you'll stick around and enjoy the content I'll now be sharing.

What is Rebound Therapy? Interview with a trained therapist
Am abit concerned - there's several people who am sure don't have the correct social security criterion nor any relatives that would qualify, yet are getting cars from Motability scheme suppliers (these people have the same or less of a condition(s) than myself). Motability when I tried to speak to them to try getting to the bottom of this, did not even want to 'give me the time of day' and am reaching figurative roadblocks in being able to find out how they're being successful in their claims and whether there is another scheme in place for those who are not directly applicable through the Mobility components of Social Security. Any ideas as to what might be going on here, as am all out of ideas and desperately want to continue my independence as an autistic adult - thanks
If you own your own car and have to have a driving aid fitted or a conversion to suit your disability. If you have a Blue Badge you don't have to pay VAT on the cost.
You are telling us nothing new
Thankyou I thought that was brilliant.
When i looked at a possible Motability car at age 75 i was told i was too old! and as i can look after myself (although i live alone) i dont as yet require a daily help for my shopping and ablutions and can just about manage 50yds with a walking stick, i have paid to have handrails fitted at my front and side doors and rented a stairlift(cannot go up or down due to requiring new knees ,3yrs waiting!) My basic state pension is supplemented by an additional small private pension so cannot claim any additional supplementory benefits, and our recent state pension increase altered my tax code so i only got about half of that!! thank you Mr Hunt, NOT!
My mother was still driving mobility cars at 85 , so you weren’t too old . The reason you are not entitled to one ,is probably because you can walk 50 yards , which is a lot more distance , than required to qualify for enhanced mobility PIP . You would only qualify for the lower rate mobility on PIP which doesn’t cover a mobility scheme car .
Good video, thank you. Very helpful.
Can a named driver drive the car if the disabled person is not in it? In other words for their own convenience?
Why isn't there a motability element to Attendance Allowance? I'm over 75 and on the higher rate of Attendance Allowance, but I can't get a car on the motability scheme. Seems very unfair. So basically, if you are over 75 and not in receipt of the 4 benefits mentioned, you are unable to get a car through the scheme.
Very clear and concise. Thank you
I am 73 and have been told i am too old to claim motability for years .I don't even get the money for enhanced Payment. I was told I am a pensioner and therefore not entitled. As Iv'e got older my needs for motability is more.
Which size exactly do you have? I’m trying to decide which size I should get for my daughter
Very useful
Fantastic review thank u also appreciation u gettin in aswell v helpful 🙏👍
Thanks to your superb advice I have a Motabilty Renault Clio Hybrid Techno in the car park - just arranging parking locally and motability parking - God Bless you I am mobile once the parking permissions arrive! Heart felt thanks John pensioner
It is a fantastic scheme, it gives disabled people a great amount of independence, unfortunately the wait for a new car is getting longer.
Thank you very much 😊
You have to accept that things will never be the same……there is nothing you can do about the progress of the disease except palliative care!
what of Muslim talking mat for praying
Am disabled person , I get PIP the highest rate and last year was about to get motability car but I don’t have driving licence 🪪 very beautiful car and price was 260.00 monthly .. cant wait to get motability car… 🚗
It was called disability living allowance at the time when I decided to get a scooter on mobility I was told sorry you're too old not have one now and yet my friend could have a car why is that she's the same age as me same benefit she can have a car but I can never believe you why why is this
This info is still very relevant today-I will share this with the staff at my mom’s facility!
Can you get if your dad is on pip and you care for him ?
Hi Thank you for your video very helpful loosing your pip for a car is hard but so useful. I order a car months later and 1 month late i got the car. Loved it Then 2 weeks after getting the car it broke down with faults and damaged parts quite bad now in garage with dealer felt sick and angre. Not sure i want this car back do you know what options we have in this case. Thanks
March 2024 - if you have just under a year left ask the garage or motability anyway, because of all the delays they are being flexible right now, the man at the car showroom told me at the end of January. I was a bit annoyed as that meant I could've put in for the car 10 months ago. Of course don't take my words as gospel as everything changes in a day at times. But again worth asking.
Thank you! for your Time in making this Video
Good
Thank you for sharing the information. I find it really helpful. Thanks a lot.
I still miss centrestage because of my mental health i was put out
Hi, just would like to know , end of the lease have I got to right to buy vehicle if so during 3 years payments can be deduct actual market price car? Thanks
From looking at the motability website, you don’t have the right to buy at the end of the lease. You have to give the car back
Затащил экспрессом! Просто нереальный!

Can you explain how to get road tax exemption please? I understand that I qualify for this as a disabled driver and I have been paying my road tax every year without knowing that I did not need to. Thanks for such a good explanation on leasing a car for a disabled person, excellent video!

The move in my opinion does not illustrate Bobath no a day, Specific Handling is essential, the main problem of CP has c change and most of them have Sensory processing deficit that interfere with the sensory modulation to organise postural control. Spasticity is not more what interferes with function. In the movie handling has to be questioning.Take your hands away, prepare for function, Bobath is not worj=king function for functions.
On the latest models the height of the footplate can be adjusted.
Hello Excellent Video what i wanted to know is, my Husband is a Provisional driver can he learn in the car whilst we have it Thanks.
Brilliant thing Motobility, but the choice cars of just now is atrocious. All I could get was a small car that I struggle to get in and out of.
Thanks
It was extremely helpful and interesting !!! Thank you very much for your advice. I want to ask if I can have an advocate if I am a single adult person fighting against abuse from Housing Association?
