Dude. No kidding. Exactly why I didn’t wanna tow mine. Knew something easy was up. Something electrical. Finally found a video that mentioned this wire and sure enough, mice chewed it.
Battery 119 was cheap. Battery's now are 200 plus
Too much yapping. Could of got to the point in 20 seconds
Thx for watching
Bro just get to the point
And the mechanics suppose to know better than you.😮
What did your bad ground cause?
My vehicle cut off on me while I was doing 60 MPH.
You like hearing yourself talk
Thanks for watching
Had the exact same thing happen with my hyundia Tucson two days ago.
The fuel pump cutting on when this happened? Im having the same problem but i jumped the starter and not getting spark and the fuel pump isnt turning on when i turn the key on
Thumbs up at 4:38!!! 😅
Everything completely died on me when I was driving. I had power to nothing. The ground wire split in half. Luckily it was a cheap and easy fix.
Probably one of the scariest things that’s happen to me plus I had my daughter with me. Glad you enjoyed the video.
😂😂🤣🤣 Mutha fucka! I feel your pain!
You should of returned the relay . I hate that shit when they just pull shit out of their asses and start replacing things just because...
My truck is saying camera video system
Buddies dodge ram had a similar problem. Dealer accused him of modifications (none). After 4 months of back/forth, they FLEW in their Master Tech, Fixed after a hour. Samething i was taught. Always check your grounds first.
That’s whAt I’m going thru rn
The body is grounded by the negative cable on the thus not creating a good ground for electrical components
Background was meant to be on the block not the body if you want to relocate it fine but put it back on the block.
Mechanics are runing out of customers sitting in the office ughh not today not busy probably tomorrow when I am Working on my garage watching this good guy thanks men
thanks big guy, got it rev'd up
Mine stayed running on cruise control but hit a bump and the gas, temperature, rpm, speedometer cruise control light odometer and gear indicator all went dead but still runs and drives only gauges working are oil pressure and battery gauge
question. the problem i have is my tahoe wont crank or turn over. i tried everything i could think of and replaced alot of parts. could that ground wire in the video be my problem? i checked it out its not broken i tugged on it but should i try to cut it and re ground it?
It may not be broken but there may be a bad ground somewhere. I’m not a certified tech but I would recommend taking it to one.
Your ecm is going out
I had that same issue had the motor replaced and the guy who swapped it forgot to add that back ground that goes to the firewall and i just ran a ground from the side of that alternator bracket to the frame and fixed my issuesines was just low voltage and running like shit. Tho nothing else
could you POSSIBLY move the camera around a bit more? Dang this is hard to watch!!!
I appreciate the feedback. Hope the video was useful ✌🏾
Bro thank you for this video, today my wife calls me said the car just shut off while she was driving. So I'm at work I'm a heavy equipment mechanic, an I run a service truck, so I pack up haul but over to her cause it's a 100 degree out here in Texas, an she got my kiddos with her. So I pull up start checking fuses an battery normal diagnosis stuff, load tested batter an it was bad went an swapped out battery, still no start. Finally I called my roadside assistance, so I could just tow the car to the house to get them out of the heat, an work on it there. So as I'm waiting on tow truck to arrive , I start scrolling through no start issue on CZcams for suburban, an bam land on your vid. Get back out of the truck to look at the suburban, an same thing wire broken off at the back, so I hook my my test leads back to ground right quick, an she fires right up!!! Right as the tow truck is pulling up, so I called off the tow an saved$ 135, just put a new terminal end on the ground wire an hooked it back up, no problems out of it so far. All praise be to God, for me finding this video , an you making it.
So, thou this is a good video. I am confused at which wire goes there. Could you make a VIDEO and post it or send it showing how to LOCATE THE WIRE. BC I dont see a wire connected to the firewall on the Left side, from standing in front of truck, so I know its NOT CONNECTED But dont SEE A actual DANGLING WIRE. I looked. But it did cut off when I put it in REVERSE in a parking lot. It started right up but it should not have done that.
I have sound everything but the controls on my steering wheel aren't working
Awesome Thanks man!! My 04 Tahoe put me down too just yesterday. Stalled and making loud noises and my first thought was there goes my engine. Scared me. I wasn’t even finished watching your video but as soon as I seen where the wires were and that’s exactly what it was. So again appreciate your help!!
Good content but you all over the place with the camera...while you talking and not showing us anything. Oh he talks about the problem at 3:25...you welcome
I’ve heard that a lot. This was kinda my first video and I didn’t think about how much I was moving the camera and nonsense I was talking before hitting the topic. I appreciate the feedback bro stay blessed.
Thanks for your research ,really helped bro✌🇺🇸
I still haven't had this problem but thank you so much for the video.. Your loss was our gain 😁😁
I have mine running to that same ground that goes to the hood also. The original spot had oil on it my cluster still isn’t working though. Hasn’t stalled on me yet 🤞 hope that doesn’t happen.
I’ve been watching videos all over CZcams for a week now and have been trying everything for the past week. I ended up ordering an ECM tonight and then ran across your video so I ran outside and sure enough the same ground wire was broken. I fixed it in the damn thing fired right up. Needless to say I’m trying to cancel my order now😂 You are a life saver I appreciate it so much ! I replaced my ignition my key Tumblr the battery and starter before all of this!
Any description of what to move and see that wire? My suv turns off at times and all of a sudden turns on in a couple minutes need help locating that wire?
If you focused the whole video on the actual wire that would be helpful...
Thx for your suggestion
This guy talks way too damn much without actually saying anything. He's just rambles on and on. Waste of time.
Thanks for watching
Dude I feel for ya, I'm having transmission problems, everything works but the last gear and for what I've read on CZcams and heard I replace my A and b solenoid still not working they're saying speed sensor I bought one that's the wrong one and I'm thinking damn I can't keep buying things like that
4:37. Had me rolling. 😂 thanks for this video
GM made something that didn’t last an eternity... “flawed wire”
Engine cut out on my 03 and been chasing it forever. New starter, alternator, ignition switch and lock cylinder still only the battery light on the dash. No power to the radio or cluster and no start I'm gonna redo this ground and hope it fixes it. My budget has ran dry.
I'm in the whole 800
2003 tahoe - can only drive it in 1st gear and reverse. No check engine lights. Anyone have any ideas? Could it be this?
Not likely. This ground will shut the entire truck down.
🤛🏿
Do you remember what color wire it was? Was it black with white stripe?awsome video
Thx, it was a solid black wire.
Have an 05 Tahoe 5.3. Same problem , thanks to your video same fix. Thank you. what is the ground for though. It comes from the wire harness but what ground is it exactly?
It connects to a bolt at the top-back of the engine block
@@mrnonchalant1183 thank you .
Mines have over fueling issues and i put a new fuel pump and filter in it and a MAF sensor and it still does it coule a bad ground cause the over fueling and the pcm to read running lean ?
I’m not to sure about that. The ground wire I had issues with completely shut the truck down.
Mine does the click, intermittent, stalled once. You think this might be my issue too?
It’s possible. Try following the wire from the firewall to the back of the engine block. Be careful tho that wire is fragile. If it’s damaged create a new ground.
Thanks brother I just fix my truck cause of this video
Thanks! This video led me in the right direction. My issue was with the ground that goes from the firewall to the back of the block. This was my fix. I bought the same oe ground wire and ran it from the firewall bolt to one of the alternator bolts.
Were you get the extra wire?
Autozone
@@mrnonchalant1183 thanks 💪🏾
