The end of this video is weird and not really true. The Japanese economy in multiple ways is further down the progress line of other major powers as in that it has encountered certain modern issues earlier, such as the huge real estate bubble burst in the 90ies, aged work force and declining population, things that are now happening in the west and China. China in particular is most likely not going to come out of these issues as good as Japan did. When comparing Japan to other top world economies, their prosperity for its citizens on average is a lot better then for most of its peers. Also, due to the strict “xenophobic” migration laws their society is not on the brink of collapse or on the verge of political war like in the west. Mind you that it is possible to enter Japan and get citizenship, just not as a refugee but as a worker after 3-5 years. There is still a lot that can be learned from Japanese society, just maybe not the work culture.
