Biting my tongue and swallowing seemed almost completely impossible more than twice. Am i the only one?
3:20 I am stuck, I apparently don't know how to swallow on command? Initially I have saliva or something to swallow but after like the second time, when there's really nothing left in my mouth, not even any saliva, i get confused because I tried to make the swallowing motion but all I end up doing is to hold my breath and gag. I have to feel something (even a tiny bit of saliva) at the back of my tongue to be able to swallow. How do I swallow nothing?
I hear you, the same thing used to happen to me. Try taking a sip of water then swallowing. Worked for me
Love the exercises, but the swallowing one increases my air swallowing symptoms. Any tips?
Thanks helpful!
😊
Thanks for this! Do you just do all these once a day, 10 reps each? How long does it take to see improvement?
Do I bite down and swallow ten times. Or bite down once and swallow ten times? I just got diagnosed and hoping these exercises, weight loss, sleeping on side can be enough
Will these help with tongue trusting?
Should you do these exercises right before you sleep? Or in morning
In order to roll the sides of your tongue towards the middle, you have to have the genes to do that.👍🏿😊
Only in Ohio 😂
Thank you! How often should you do these?
Thank you 🎉🎉🎉. Practicing it from now on
Why do you move your jaw forward ?
I physically cannot swallow while trying the tongue biting technique. What does this mean? Lol.
I just started...lol. It takes time ...I struggle too but am getting there ..lol was able to do it 2 times. I realise that you have to have a sufficient amount of saliva to be able to achieve this...I guess when you become accustomed to it, it will be easier. 👍🏿😊
Is your jaw meant to click?
The straps stretch after a few nights, have you had that problem?
Hello. We do notice that the straps can stretch over time. SomnoMed is addressing this currently by developing a new version of these straps. In the meantime, you can request new ones. They'll typically cover those under the warranty. I hope that helps!
These are great thank you so much!
I recognize these things in myself, but according to a sleep test, I don’t have much OSA if I sleep on my side. So that’s what I try to do. And I’m doing some face and throat exercises. Think that’s a pretty good plan for me?
Thank you
I have afib and apnea. What apnea treatment did he use?
I cannot get the blue strap to go on device
Hi Ann, thanks for checking out our video. The strap should snap on at the front of the top tray. It will only clip on the tray if you insert the section of the strap that is on either end. The straps are slightly thinner in that area. If you still have questions it would be best to reach out to the dental office that is overseeing your therapy.
Let me tell you, I have had sleeping problems for 10 years and I started doing these sleep exercises 4 days ago, and I am already starting to sleep better and longer. For context I would wake up between 5-10 times a night, for the past 4 nights it's down to about 4-5. I still can't believe this is all it took to help me.witj my terrible sleep....thank you thank you thank you thank you.....lastly thank you, I owe you my first born
We are so glad to hear! It's the little things in life that can become big things.
How is your sleep now?
That really helped. Thanks!
Woke up w a sore right jaw
Hi Sandra, I'm sorry to hear that! Are you a patient of Ohio Sleep Treatment?
It is also very important to have your tongue in the correct resting position. Many people with apnea have the tongue not on the upper palate where it should be during relaxation and sleep but have it somewhere down so it can during sleep easily fall back. You need to practice the good tongue posture during daytime so at night it will stay at the upper palate. here is some information; czcams.com/video/Nd_D7qrOhaM/video.html
Hi, Thank you, the excercises are great! do you have a nose unblocker excercise? Helps to sleep breath better… thanks
I'm not familiar with any other exercises. Using the pressure points by the nostril is definitely a big help!
@@ohiosleeptreatment9309 I see. Thank you!
I will try now, thanks 🙏
Thank you
Beautifully demonstrated.big thanks
How many times to do it in a day? Thanks, jim
Question: How many times a day do you need to do the exercise?
Thank you very much and very helpful.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This is helpful.
Thank u katie for quick but effective video
Hi
Why is the swallowing one so difficult to do if you don't have any spit to swallow? I'm really struggling with that one.
Maybe a few sips of water to wet your whistle prior to each attempt could help. Keep up the great work!
I recommend doing these exercises twice a day. Thanks, they do work!
Thanks sister God bless you ji 💐🙏🏻Satnam ji Waheguru ji 🙏🏻
Thank you mi amor
Lovr these.. Thanks
You are SO welcome! We are glad to help!
My jaw feels broken
do these exercises cause wrinkles??
Although controversial, many believe facial exercises help in the reduction of wrinkles. The thought behind facial exercises is as you do them, it increases the size of the muscle which stretches the skin and also makes cheeks fuller. This 71 year old young lady could use some wrinkle remover around my mouth 😝
Can you please help for KLS.. I am in India
What is KLS?? Are you referring to KLS Martin distractor?
How long u have to do that exercise
Is this a PSA or an advertisement? And, I’m curious how many OSA patients can actually substitute an oral appliance for CPAP. I’ll bet not many.
It sounds like you are passionate about quality sleep and exceptional sleep care. Same here! Guidance on OSA therapy is best received from a board-certified sleep physician. We're grateful to treat the appropriate patients when blessed with the opportunity. Sleep well!
you make exercise fun. Thank you, Katie!
