    Hello sir. I’ve seen the video on sleeping position and loved it. I have an issue you may want to give your opinion about and I would appreciate it. The issue is: for past 2 years I learned to push my tongue up against the roof of my mouth in order to bring my mandible forward and improve breathing. Results showed but it also caused my forehead sides to bulge, caused my hyoid area to bulge and sort of lift up, caused some weird tension at the upper back of my neck as if I have a cord from my mandible circling around my neck. What happened is I developed mild tinnitus in the form of static. Now, here are the movements that can alter it: a) rotate head right or left over 45 degrees elevated the static momentarily. Feels as if my mandible is squeezing my scm. b) lean my head forward while keeping it up and then twist it (leads to a loud tinnitus on the ear of the side twisting to). c) if I do a chin tuck ie in a pillow while looking at my phone, sort of an aggressive one. Now, eat test are done, all is normal (blood vessels, bones etc). I feel (and you correctly stated in the other video that our body knows and we should hear it) that the small area right behind my mandibular edge and my scm is the issue. It also appears now to be giving pulsatile tinnitus for a few seconds if I attempt to sleep on my stomach with a twist of the neck and a “push/rest” at the pillow. I have straight neck, but no advanced damage or atlas misalignment (mri and X-ray done). Deep neck flexors are weak, back hump is in its infancy, upper back needs more support but somehow I don’t think this is the issue. Now, either I have Eagle syndrome or something on the cerebral fluid area. Reason I say it is because my tinnitus would aggregate if someone put a laser (the ones used in physiotherapy) to that area center precisely but apparently that’s where the acoustic nerve crosses (?). Anyway, I live in Greece, I consider treating my situation with Med-X machines (rotation + 4-way neck) after an evaluation but it just perplexes me how my tongue at the roof of the mouth led to this. Because many people seem to get it so it’s definitely that. Could I have pushed my temporal bone? Could I have pushed my jaw up and back so it hits a nerve? Jaw did feel like that but a clumsy MRI to it showed no “issues there”. It feels as if my jaw muscles at the hinge are hypertrophic or that my jaw upon opening my mouth goes way down and OUTwards. Any input is appreciated.

    • @LEVAChiropractic
      @LEVAChiropractic Před 6 lety

      Shuvah Luvah Traction versus support at night is the main concern. With Traction the intention is to cause plastic deformation which changes the spine position long term. Towel Support doesn’t necessarily change the position of the spine permanently. Sleeping with support (comfortable towel height) is indicated. Sleeping with passive traction (productive stretch without pain) is not indicated during sleep. (Reason: passive traction is only for 15-20 minutes.) 😊

    • @LEVAChiropractic
      @LEVAChiropractic Před 6 lety

      Tocimah It is typical that people will shift, toss and turn etc throughout the night when they are subluxated. (Need chiropractic adjustments) If someone is not able to stay in one position throughout the evening then the body is seeking comfort or new positions to open up different nerve channels. (are used to toss and turn every night for years, in my specific situation due to my spinal injuries when they were being addressed through chiropractic care especially around the upper neck my tossing and turning decreased and continue to decrease with the towel supports. I know I am becoming subluxated (losing my adjustment) when I start tossing and turning again.) Snoring can be from an upper cervical spine subluxation, it’s common that people that have neurological interference to the nasopharynx have difficulty with stabilizing the motor functions and tissue health in the region that can cause snoring. I have literally seen people’s snoring improve or decrease after chiropractic adjustments. This is not always the case because there are other causes for snoring. Some things to consider: eat really clean good healthy food exercise regularly think positive sleep correctly and take care of your spine. Snoring is not healthy and can cause heart conditions if the blood starts to thicken because the body is starving for oxygen at night. The human body will interpret the low oxygen level due to snoring similarly to being on mount Everest where the air is thin so the body will create more red blood cells to adapt to a low oxygen level. This will cause the blood to become thicker and the heart to have to pump harder wearing out the cardiovascular system sooner. If you are snoring do your best to increase the function of your body by living a healthy lifestyle and getting checked by a Chiropractor For professional recommendations and care. I would also involve a medical doctor or natural path in your problem-solving to find out other options. Of course I’m interested in doing the least invasive approaches to rule those out as an option first.

    • @LEVAChiropractic
      @LEVAChiropractic Před 6 lety

      murreyhaze If you do not have access to supports in your sleeping arrangement I’d recommend becoming creative and figuring out a way to still support your knees and your neck at night. Because you do not likely have access to chiropractic care I would recommend becoming adept at yoga and core stability training to see if you can initiate your bodies self-correcting mechanisms. It is possible that through various types of exercises you may increase your bodys capacity to stabilize it self and increase your innately driven sleeping patterns. The more you do yoga, core stability training, resistance training and other types of movement and exercise the more in tune you can become with your body and the more likely you will start to see solutions coming from you. This is one of the best ways to find solutions to healing is to realize that the solution has been with you all along. You are the answer you have been looking for. Giving yourself permission to be the authority in solving your problems takes the responsibility back into your hands and gives you permission To let go of cultural flawed perspectives that keep you in the dark. It doesn’t come instantly it takes time. This is what I eventually had to do to solve my health conditions that nobody could help me with. I realized nobody was coming to save me and I became the solution I was looking for. If you are hitting a wall in your life and have a barrier because nobody has helped you get past the barrier this may be a blessing in disguise to realize that no one is coming to save you, and “if it is to be it is up to me.” This caused me to listen finally to the little whisper on the inside and I realized that the symptom was not the problem it was the solution coming from the same infinite wisdom that created me. I gave myself permission to no longer subordinate to the authorities on the outside I started to become the authority by listening to the genius on the inside.

      @@LEVAChiropractic I am 21 and I snore loudly I was told by my mother...is my heart getting damaged? I do feel like my heart stops for an instant and then beats twice, or something like that, sometimes. It happens that I have these kind of heart "spasms" multiple at a time, like 3 of these spasms in a row, expecially when I'm nervous. I was diagnosed with a slight heart valve problem when I was a lot younger, but they said it's normal.

When is the new philosofy and vision of health saying that everything ends up in subluxation adjustment?? What is the differense if now we start "fighting" against subluxations? It will transform in the new simthom. Regards, from Argentina

    Who knows? Chiropractic does not treat or cure disease, it is a tool to remove interference to the nerve system. If you have nerve interference that is causing your problems and if chiropractic can remove that interference then you are a potential candidate for what we do. My recommendation is to go get checked by a chiropractor. I wish you well. Ryan.

My intention was to show them and myself that playing bigger is a decision, and miracles happen when you take the path less traveled. Humanity is waiting on the information that we have as Chiropractors. I made a decision to face my fears so that they wouldn't have to learn the hard way that Chiropractic is life saving. "Get out of your own way, and TELL THEM."
