Frozen Coffee Dessert Recipe | Refreshing Summer Treat
Frozen Coffee is a wonderful alternative to traditional coffee ice cream. This dessert offers a delicate texture, rich coffee flavour, creamy smoothness, and a hint of vanilla that creates a delightful aftertaste. Perfect for a hot day, this sweet and refreshing treat is both invigorating and indulgent, making it an excellent choice for coffee lovers seeking a cooling dessert.
Ingredients:
60 ml (2 fl oz) coffee
60 ml (2 fl oz) cream
Sugar to taste
Vanilla extract to taste (or substitute with vanilla or vanilla sugar)
One scoop (30 g - 1 oz) ice cream (optional)
Method:
1.Brew the espresso or coffee using your preferred method.
2.Add sugar, vanilla extract, and chilled cream to the coffee. Stir well.
3.Place the mixture in the freezer and let it freeze until it reaches a slushy consistency (about 30-40 minutes).
4.Remove the frozen mixture from the freezer.
5.Transfer the frozen mixture to a serving dish or glass, and top with a scoop of ice cream.

Personally I double the amount of chocolate. let it cool off, then reheat it. that makes it much much thicker. 150ml of milk+ 100 grams of chocolate, also gives roughly 3 servings if you use smaller glasses. Using a spoon to let the espresso float on the chocolate milk also makes 3 distinct layers

Sometimes when I French Press coffee (or when using the generic coffee machine), I will add in the contents from half a tea bag to the coffee grounds, so that a new flavor is infused into the coffee... I first discovered this using a Japanese black tea, (which I unfortunately cannot remember the name of. ) Since then, two delicious combination options I have discovered are: ¹ Dandelion Tea or, ² 'Afternoon' Darjeeling Tea (I don't know if the 'afternoon' part really matters, but it was how the maker named their coffee. )

While I don't have Macadamia Syrup (never even heard of it), I would try this with my Orgeat (almond) Syrup, or, Speculoos Syrup!
