The Ocean Cleanup's mission is to develop and scale technologies to rid the oceans of plastic.
Every year, millions of tons of plastic enter the oceans primarily from rivers. The plastic afloat across the oceans - legacy plastic - isn’t going away by itself. Therefore, solving ocean plastic pollution requires a combination of stemming the inflow and cleaning up what has already accumulated.
The Ocean Cleanup is developing cleanup systems to clean up what is already polluting our oceans and to intercept plastic on its way to the ocean via rivers. When we have achieved our goal of a 90% reduction in ocean plastic, our project is finished and our work will be done.

Good example for the other billionaire to follow suit, better needed than sending rockets to space
So glad grocery bag ban stopped this 🤔
😮❤🎉
Sì vabbè ma non è normale eh
I am sorry Mother Earth 🙏🏼
We stopped purchasing bottled water; we refill our very nice new water bottle with tap water. We’ve been sold a bill of goods with “better” water from somewhere else. It is tap water from them! ,
EVeryone who sees this video needs to “like” and subscribe, and post a comment... Also view the comments through the ads; more revenue will be collected by the Ocean Cleanup. It’s another way of support. Thank you, The Ocean Cleanup.
Wow....😮
Humans are a blight in this planet.
A new industry is born cleaning rivers before the trash reaches the oceans. I wish that mankind would have never invented plastic nor became dependent on it. Plastic is one of the worst inventions ever for the health and well being of our planet.
Thank you Guatemala for protecting one of the worlds most beautiful Gems. Mad respect!
This is cool, but what happens to the plastic after it’s fished out of the ocean?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😮😮😮😮😮 finalmente. Il mondo va pulito
We gotta start focusing on preventing problems instead of fixing them afterwards.
Well done! We need to address root causes: few alternatives to plastics and no regard- education- for the environment.
Thanks for not adding your trash to the ocean 😊
Way to go picking up trash you made great job. Keep it up.
Fishing nets cause the majority of such problems
Hire me
Greta and her eco maniacs should protest swim in that OR better, do something and help clean.....oh no, they would rather sit in the middle road and protest
Buen trabajo ,gran labor para nuestra última vida el.mar
I always knew someone else would take care of it. Thanks guys 😁
Thank you so much for everything that you do ❤
I have a question. Plastics are polluting the ocean and they don't biodegrade but they float, right? So why don't they just tie them all together and create floating islands that people can build on in the water?
Brilliant. This is what we should fund. Practical solutions to pollution. Never mind the climate scam. Put money into real world solutions to a tangible problem.
Nastiness
Would be better if 3rd word countries would stop to use outdoors as a rubbish bin. Like really.
Great. Is it all operated by it's Solar panels? or Interceptor uses a generator as well?
😢😢😢😮😮😮🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Ich verstehe nicht wie das alles im Wasser landen kann....!!!🤦♀️
Одни выбрасывают, другие собирают😢
I swear, if I find out this is a scam……
I can take some of those canisters😁
Doing Gods work. More power to your company!
Are they on Drugs ? What are they cheering like crazy that is nothing not 0,1% not 0,01 % ..nothing at all ! There are 100 to 150 Million Tons of Garbage in the Oceans and the most Part is not even floating anymore ! And every Day new Garbage makes his Way into the Oceans.. Even if they take out 100 Tons every Day ... there is still no Industrial Process that sorts the Garbage and recycles it efficiently !! They burn it or make cheap Roads or Bricks A big Show that only burns Money with a very small Result
china and india worlds largest polluters don't be tricked into paying for them hold them accountable!!!
Cgi
Do you have anything like this in INDIA?
AI video showing what they WOULD do?
❤❤❤❤👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
Здесь может быть ваша бутылка 😮
$25m for this shitty render?
This is what you fund when you eat fish.
IN ONE DAY??!
Meinen Dank 😢 an die Großindustrie und Nahrungsmittelindustrie!!!
There should be a change in the 'just throw away on the street' mentality in those countries. Especially India, pakistan etc. I simply cannot understand why the 'rich' west is pouring Billions into the poor countries the last 30 years and they havent setup a normal cleaning system with trash cans, garbage trucks etc.. one of the reasons why people throw everyhing on the streets because there is simply no pickup system with garbage. Just spend some money on that, it will be soo much better for human, animals and enviroment.
This makes me 😢.
wow
Yes yes yes keep going!
@theoceancleanup we want you to help us Indians in cleaning our rivers . Pls help 🥺 🙏🙏
